[Q] Tweaked issues - Verizon Droid Charge

I just installed Tweaked 2.0 and love it but I don't have any google apps and my home button rarely works. Anyone else have these issues? and where can i find a google apps package?

Ran a factory reset from CWM and everything's working now

All you need to do is flash a gapps.zip file from ClockWorkMod Recovery. That will install all the google apps.
Just Google gapps.zip download or search some XDA forums and you should be able to locate, download and flash them. Any outdated apps will be automatically (with permission of course) updated once Play is installed.

[Q] How to install the "Play Store App" on CM9

Hi,
I just got CyanogenMod 9 running on my Galaxy S Plus (i9001).
But there is no Play-Sore app on the screen ....
Thanks .....
You have to flash Gapps...its in the CM9 threads. Gapps are all of your google applications. CM can't include them in the ROM due to licensing issues.
How to install the "Play Store App" on CM9

I have done so, and installed gapps (more than once).

Where you able to sign into your Google account? If you did and still no good then try searching Google and manually pushing the apk with root explorer or a similar app

Did you download the version of GAPPS made for ICS? (should have -ICS somewhere in the filename)
The gapps site lists dozens of versions, for various phones and roms.

Google play is not included in Android 4 / CM 9.
To install Google play, you need to download the google play apk from http://www.theandroidsoul.com/download-google-play-apk-3-5-19/
Scenario 1: file managers is already installed.
Then transfer the apk to SD card and use the file manager to install google play apk.
Scenario 2: There is no file manager.
Install Android SDK or the ADB driver.

[N9009] How to install GooglePlay Store

I figured that since it took me forever to figure out how to install GooglePlay store on the N9009, the dual sim China variant running 4.4.2 KK, and get it working properly I thought it'd be worth sharing with others who might want to do the same.
Things you will need:
Rooted N9009
Odin 3.07 http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1168421
CWM Recovery http://downloadandroidfiles.org/download-n9006-cwm-recovery-6-0-3-70922-fix-adb-tar/
GAPPS I used CM11 GAPPS from cynanogenmods wiki found here http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Google_Apps
ES File Explorer/Root Explorer
You will need to flash a custom recovery through Odin. Run Odin with administrator privileges and click the PDA button. Locate the n9006-cwm-recovery-6.0.3.7(0922)-fix-adb.tar file and click start. Your phone should reboot. You should noticed that we're using the N9006 CWM recovery, which was the only one I could find that'd work with the N9009.
The problem I discovered when trying to flash GAPPS on the N9009 was that the priv-app cache was full and wouldn't allow all of GAPPS to install to /system/priv-app/. This is where I had to use a root explorer and delete a couple of apps from /system/priv-app/ For example, I deleted the Samsung gallery app and a couple other non crucial non-needed Samsung junk. Now you should be able to flash the GAPPS zip from CWM.
This was the best method I found for installing the GooglePlay Store and having it run correctly. I tried to install it manually by copying Google Play Services framework and everything over to the folders myself but kept running into the gapps has quite unexpectedly, google services has crashed, or the play store would just never connect.
maybe you can use the google installer in wandouji market
also need root
you will not trip knox and only need install an apk and let the software to do it.
[RE] maybe you can use the google installer in wandouji market
Well it did need all of the Google Services to run properly and I'm not sure whether Wandouija store would include them all or not. Also I can't really speak/read Chinese and I can't remember if the Wandouija store was on the phone already or not.
I just figured it would be best to flash it as a system app from twrp because there always seems to be less problems that way.
Maybe next time I have to add the play store to my bosses dual sim Chinese phone I'll try it that way.
detailed Instructions please

[Q] Google Play Store on rooted Gionee Dream D1

I having Gionee Dream D1, Android version 4.1.2. I ran kingo root application to root the device; it got rooted, because when I check by Root Verifier (F-droid app), it says "Device is Rooted". Then I installed Superuser (F-droid app) and all is going well. I made all google apps as a normal app by using /system/app mover (F-droid app) and uninstalled all of them. Now, I want to re-install google play store app, so I tried by google search and xda forum. I tried by installing play store apks 5.2.13,3.7.11 and 3.7.13 apks along with google play service apks, google play store app gets installed, but when I click on it, it appears and goes away.
I have not install any other ROM for the device nor nothing done like recovery or anything else.
I don't know what else I need to configure. Kindly help me.
Regards
Girish Sharma
How I configured google play store on my rooted (rooted by Kingo Root tool) Gionee Dream D1 Device Android 4.1.2
A. Downloaded Gapps Manager.apk
B. Installed Gapps Manager
C. Setting--apps--All--Reset app preferences (To avoid gapps not responding or aborted error)
D. Performance Control tool—Cleared delvik cache and restarted device
E. Run Gapps Manager, clicked on Android 4.1.x option (Because I am going to configure google play store on my this android version i.e. 4.1.2)
F. Got downloaded gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip in SD Card/Download folder
G. Power off device
H. Booted the device in recovery mode Power button+Volume Up button
I. Install zip from sd card and browsed Download folder, selected above zip file
J. Ported above zip successfully and restarted the device.
K. All Done.
Just posting for those who are searching the answer/solution.

Had to Factory Reset....Now Google Wallet won't install........

So I was working fine on Marshmallow MMB29K, rooted, with Xposed, and Franco Kernel r78. Google Wallet was installed and working fine. Just sent money with it yesterday. I kept getting messages my device was low on space which made no sense since I don't have many very large apps and not many pictures. I discovered my device was suffering from the Bug that Google still hasn't fixed where 32 GB devices only show 16 gb of storage. I had to reflash to the stock recovery over TWRP and then do a Factory reset on the device to get Android to see my other 16 GB of space. So since I had to do this anyway when I reflashed the stock recovery, I just went ahead flashed MMB29S build to have the latest security updates. Rebooted device, did a factory reset, and then verified all my space was showing up in the new MMB29S installation. Restored all my apps via the play store and restored backed up data for some of the apps from my Titanium Backup. Finally, go everything back in order with the exception of Google Wallet. I am now on MMB29S with SuperSU 2.66 flashed, Xposed and Franco kernel re-installed and working good. For whatever reason Google Wallet will not install on my device. It downloads fine from the Play Store but fails the install with error (-506), Google Wallet could not be installed.............and then displays a very unhelpful troubleshooting link. I have tried to download the latest Google Wallet apk, version 12 via apkmirror and manually install it, but that install fails saying my device doesn't have enough free space! WTH? I"m currently using only 9 of 26.x gb. I tried clearing data and cache for the Play Store app, but that didn't help. All other apps install just fine. I also tried uninstalling the Xposed Installer app and disable SuperSu via it's GUI. (I don't think this is the issue because the app should install fine, just might have issues working with root). I REALLY do not want to do a full unroot since I just got everything else working, as I don't think this is going to fix the installation issue I'm seeing. I can find no trace of error -506 via a google search. Any idea how to fix this and get Google Wallet to install on my device? I'm about ready to pull my hair out on this one.
In case anybody else runs into this issue, I was able to resolve it by using root explorer to browse to the data/data folder from root and located the folder for the Google Wallet app. After deleting that folder I was able to successfully re-install wallet from the play store. Must have been caused by a failed Titanium backup data restore or something.
