I have a galaxy 3 i5801 which is one year old.
It freezes occasionally and i have to restart the phone by removing the battery.
I am also using the 3g an wifi , when i am using in 3g or wifi. the battery is draining very fast less than 10 minutes even after full charge, and the phone gets switched off.
When i switch on the phone it will again gets switched off before i switch off the 3g or wifi showing the battery in very low(RED status) .
when i am charging after this it gets full charge in less than half hour.
I have tried different roms.
now i have stock rom(froyo.xxjpm)

I have bought this phone 2 months ago, and it is working OK, but I have a problem when charging it:
The screen is switching on and off every 30 or so seconds, and it seems to me, when it gets to 100% full, the phone freezes, since I can unlock the phone when it is not 100 full. The ROM is a stock last 2.3.5 version, and it was the same on the earlier version.
When I come to the phone after some time, the back side above the battery is hot, and the only cure is to remove the battery. If I do not do so, it will drain the battery in a matter of hour or two. Not sure what can causing it.
The other thing is that sometimes I cannot activate BT or Wi-Fi. Icons are flashing but it wont enable it, and after some time, especially with the WiFi it will again drain the battery.
Any thoughts?
P.S, I cannot locate the previous owner of the phone, so the warranty service is not an option
I have Samsung Galaxy 3 (i5801) with Kyrillos ROM 10.5 , it recently developed problem of shutting down the system when data (3g) is turn on.
It works fine when data is not enabled, battery lasts 2 days in normal usage but when 3g data is turned on it immediately drains the battery to 0% and shuts it down and it cannot be rebooted without plugin in to charger. After you restart and switch off the 3g data and remove the charging, it shows battery level as before the shut down.
Please help me.
i have i9100 which was on 2.3.5. i did something stupid with it and rooter my phone ,upgraded to RR JB Rom with Siyah kernel. Since then my phone was very cranky. the battery used to drain down very fast. read a few threads and turned the wifi off when on sleep, never went to 3g network and i used it only for phone calls and msgs but it still wouldn't stay longer than 3-4 hrs before the battery drains.
a little later to add to my misery, the phone used to shutdown randomly. each time this happens i connect the charger and power it on. when the charger is connected, the battery shows 80% but when removed phone shuts down.
i tried to re-calibrate the battery going to recovery mode nogo.
so i decided to downgrade to ICS. i am now on an official ROM by Ssamsung for S2. Un-rooted the phone. same issue here as well. i open you tube , Fb, Dolphin Browser, the phone shuts down. i think this is happening only when i use internet.
i don't see wipe battery stats at all now in recovery mode to re-calibrate my battery.
i am stuck and need help. very close to throwing this phone away and settling with a cheaper one. please help!!!!!!!

After upgrading my galaxy S2 (model: SHW-m250k) to JB, my battery is draining much faster. I thought it was battery problem and changed my battery but found same problem.
When I don't use phone like when I sleep, only 4-5% battery lost in 8-9 hours but as soon as I start using my phone, battery is finishing like 1% in every minute. I have found my screen's battery usage is always above 60%. When I start using my phone, it goes up to 80%. All other battery usage found normal.
I done factory reset but didn't work. Recently my phone got updated again (update size approx. 600MB) but problem didn't solve. I tried everything to reduce battery usage (turning auto sync off, lowering brightness, turning off auto rotation, enabling power saving mode etc) but didn't worked and I am very disappointed now. Cant use my phone to watch movie, chat because of huge battery draining by display.
I have also noticed that after using my phone when I put it idle, battery increases by 1-2% automatically!!
Could you please suggest me anything?
I have a rooted nexus 5 and I'm facing this particular problem from quite some time.. My phone battery drops instantly and phone gets switched off....and when I put it on charging while its switched off the battery gets charged quite fast.....like it gets to 40-60% in 5-10 mins....idk what is happening its very annoying plz help me....
