Database Info

Need assistance with a Program...

Dear Experts,
I need some help with this program as It's the best app in it's category.
I've extracted The program program from an old ROM and when I try to install it on any other ROM it doesn't work probably or doesn't even install at all.
Could you please help what can I do or any one could help modefing it so it could be installed on any ROM..

you get it in a legal way?

It was in a rom made by Qaliza, one of the best roms I've tested.
now I want to insall it on my new device, but unfortunately I can't.

After I've tried some things, I couldn't make it work. Ive found this lite (free) version. Hope it's work the same.

Thanks Nathan for your effort, but the Lite version is not working with full options..
I've tried it and it's not the same as the full one I've sent.
Any way, Thx again for your effort and I'll try to find another software that does what I need from this one.

Goophone Y5 and relative ROMs

Hi guys, I made this thread so it will we easier to find things related to this phone on another thread then on the Gooapple V5 3G and relative ROMs one. I do not have my phone yet but there are other users that can help you out.

It not makes calls, and when I try to, it crashes, don't work more...

Is the video of GooPhone Y5 correct about the AnTuTu benchmark score(aprox. 3600)? Can anyone confirm that?

I don't believe it to be true.. saw a video doing around 2200 - and other pictures doing only around 1300 which I believe to be true since I can make my HTC Desire (1Ghz) to get close to..

Hey I here too!!! anexonel13, good idea to open a new thread only for Goophone Y5. Im translating with varoius dictonary Chinese-English finding on the web the recovery touch 2.0.1 that I find already installed in my goophone Y5. (see picture).
When I'm done I upload the translation. I hope that will help someone.

I dont think it is worth to buy the language pack, personally.
Maybe you can try to find some android locales on the internet and than make a downloadable directory for the files?

I've looked everywhere for a guide on how to add more system locales to an already build rom.. It seems like there is nowhere to find an answer.
Then thought.. If we were just 6-7 of us .. spending $2 - then we could try this. It is not a fortune.. so if it works.. COOL.. if not.. We haven't lost a lot..

I have updated my dropbox Y5 folder to include a few apps that I have mod to show the Iphone Icon in order to get rid of the chinese ones. Can you please upload on your website if of interest?
Also I saw that in the other gooapple forum that someone was not downloading the latest ROM which corrects a number of bugs but going for the previous one. I think that maybe you could only give the link of the latest rom to avoid confusion ?

Hi.. I must say the Goophone.. The thunderbird might be slightly better, but haven't found any place to get the kind of support on the device as the one for Goophone on this forum..

No for Gplay. It forcecloses if you try to download an app. So far I am using Apptoide and hoping that the next rom update will address that issue.
When are you getting yr phone?
Am curious to know if they have fixed the flash leakage issue or you still have to do it yourself.
By the way I opened my phone on sat and while turning it around I forgot about the battery which got detached. One of the wires broke. I had to get it fixed .Fortunately it was an easy job. When you open yours , good advice would be to tape the battery securely before messing around.

My GooPhone Y5 (MT6575 - Antutu)
I have already installed the recovery img (in English, no problem) using mobileUncleTools, restart the phone and it goes to the recovery screen.
There, select: "Apply update from sdcard" and select the rom Y5-0608-F-002.
There, gives me the following error message:
-- Install /sdcard ...
Error: invalid OTA package
Update.zip is not correct
Instalatio aborted.
Did something wrong?

They sell the GooPhone Y5 for $230 with free shipping and they have a video on youtube(youtube.com/watch?v=Jq4W8BBbnqI) showing an almost perfect copy. I mean the camera button showing while the screen is locked and it is fast as hell. Oh and the android verison says that it is ICS. Can it be real? Does your copy acts the same way?

I wouldn't trust them. There are no ICS for Goophone Y5 as far as I know..

Try to check if signature verification and scripts assert are disabled in recovery, under "apply file zip from sd card". Maybe are enabled.

Nice post question is will this use HTC Camera functions or just pure AOSP rom stuff.
considering the camera on the HTC Roms are way more advanced.
I guess we will wait and see.

system/lib directory appears to be incomplete.

except the button mapping sucks compared to the sense rom

Again fingers crossed, I can't wait to turn my AT&T HTC One into a Google Edition, or at least have a 4.2.2 Pure Jelly Bean experience with no bugs

Will the AOSP camera do photo spheres... That is one thing I miss from my NS4G. I don't want to trash the sense camera rather I would like to have both.

The kernel feels awesome. Earlier i used Xperience kernel. THe dt2w worked immediately. But now i am not able to use that feature. Im sure i havent done anything wrong.Can you suggest something??

When are you going to add CPU and GPU overclock? Replies will be greatly appreciated.
By the way, this kernel is really good because it adds intelliplug and custom governors, and because it supports the Cyanogenmod nightlies!

Install R4 version and in specifics tab click screen wake control!

I'm enjoying this kernel so far. It works wonderfully with CM12, and has the three things I most want in a kernel: support for a large number of governors, DT2W support, and FauxSound. Keep up the good work !

Might add color calibration in the next update?

best nuga rom no bugs

Can you guys compare this to something more uhh, popular? I guess is the word. Is it a heavily modded AOSP ROM? Like AICP? I'm on the dreaded BrokenOS right now and it is incredibly stable, but it's 6.0. I would jump to Nougat if it was similar. Can someone give a quick review of it? Features, lag issues, any camera issues, does the notification light work properly? Things like that. Thank you.

In the amount of time you wait for someone to spoon feed you your required information, you could have downloaded it, installed and be running it and find out how this works for you.
I have no idea why so many people are so afraid to try something for themselves. If this be the case then flashing is not for you... or is it just most of you have become that lazy.
Sorry for the rant but this need most people here on XDA to be handed everything and not do for yourselves has gotten out of hand.

Maybe because I flashed 5 ROMs in the last week...clean flashes, and I wanted to avoid setting up another ROM that I never heard of, with no change log or feature list, or bug reports that I could find. For example, ambient display is not working, deal breaker for me. Thanks to those who were constructive in this thread so far. Carry on.

I have flashed 5 roms in a day... if it has become too much for you or you do not know about methods where you can flash a rom and restore all you data in a matter of minutes, you are not doing it right. Then again, maybe flashing it not for you.

You're really not helping anyone by portraying this ridiculous elitist attitude to someone trying to innocently get info about an unknown piece of software. Some of us actually need everything to work on their phones instead of being a first adopter. Get off your high horse and stop derailing what was actually turning into an informational thread.
That's the last I have to say about any of this.

Not sure how OP can say this ROM is bug free. I remember trying it when it was first uploaded and it has plenty of bugs. Such as gallery causing the phone to freeze and reboot. I'm sure the aux port isn't working correctly either, etc.

Then stay with stock... issue and complaints are not needed.

Thanks for the info. I'll definitely stick with AICP for now. I've been rolling with the nightlies on that ROM for 10 days or so and every day seems to make progress.
