Have you found a solution for this? I'm searching as well.... the apps are 100% useless, it's not worth the 1-3% increase.
The apps dont make a difference on the earphone.
try dsp manager - working very well on mine.
Almost to loud now
do a search for the apk
+1 for DSP Manager. It is working very well for me. Like Warlock said, almost too loud at times now.

Hi there, I recently installed the latest version of ARHD on my HTC Sensation. I am a heavy user of spotify premium and I was wondering if there was a way to enable beats audio enhancer for that app or any other app for that matter, rather than just the stock music player?? Thanks

Ok thanks for getting back so quickly, Please update me if anything changes....
Been using ics roms for a while now. I just notice that the app I have been using called equalizer is not working with my HTC music. The setting that I have made on it will not take effect. Is this a known issue and how can I fix it?

Hi looks like we have the same problem i upgrade to ICS and found out that Equalizer is not yet compatible with ICS, though I really like it coz it produce good quality on the music player combined with the Beats. Gotta wait for that officially from developer. So there's nothing we can do for now

Equalizer is the only reason I went back to gingerbread. Volume+ is working with ICS roms , but is not like in gingerbread.

And yes, sadly, Equalizer is currently not compatible with ICS ROMs. But don't you fret, it should be compatible soon!

So I tried a sound mod that I use on my SGS2, on my Sensation and it sounds as good as it does on the SGS2. Here is the link

I'm using first on my sensation, but they both work on my SGS2. I'm pretty sure they will both work but my personal preference is the first one.

My fault fellas, I should have mentioned what Rom I'm on. I have been using this mod on JB Roms. I'm currently on Linaro 4.1.2 JB v.17. The first version is what I'm using no need to deal with changing build prop. Just how I like it nice and simple, Flash Awesome beats than install Noozxiode from the market, I also control sound with noozxiode. Awesome beats is the first DL from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1992553. Same link from my first post but this is the first page.
Flashing the awesome beats gives better sound then just noozxoide alone, but I don't do anything with the awesome beats. Control the effects with noozxoide. Here's some ss

Anyone know why mods like this don't work with Poweramp? The only reason I'm still using Sense-based ROM's is because nothing works with Poweramp. I really want to make the final move over to Jelly Bean but I like the SRS, Dolby and Beats enhancements you can get for Sense ROMs.

Something to do with the way in which poweramp handles audio threads, idk much about it tbh, it never bugged me enough to investigate...
Maybe it might be worth you doing a few google searches and see if it comes up with anything

Haha I have done in the past and it mostly throws up people replying to audio mods for various devices claiming they do and do not work with Poweramp. I have found that Dolby Mobile should work on newer JB ROMs, now I just need SRS and Beats too I wouldn't mind if they worked with another player that wasnt Poweramp, but sometimes its hard to tell if you can't turn them on/off on the fly like you can with Poweramp.
I have the htc one x for at&t. I just flashed the cyanogen 10 mod yesterday and I noticed it took away the beats audio software so I downloaded the 3rd party beats applications that requires root and it just doesn't sound as good as it once did. Does anyone know how to put the original software on cyanogen 10 for this phone? or am I just imagining it's sounding different?
can someone help me out as soon as possible. I have been having a hell of a time finding any information on this.

Try jet audio player. It was posted as an apk in the themes and app section.. huge equilizer and a ton of presets. Sounds way better than beats because you can fine tune it to your style and preferences

Does it transfer to any other audio applications or is it only dedicated to that one in particular?
The reason I ask is because I really like the Zuneish layout using Uber music.
