[Theme][ICS] CWM flashable Audio packs for CM9 and AOKP - Galaxy Tab Themes and Apps

Hey guys,
I kinda like the original ICS sounds more than AOKP/CM9 ones, especially the UI clicks. Most of them are identical, but the camera and the UI click were driving me nuts. So (as I usually do) I created two CWM zips that flash either the AOKP/CM9 sound pack or the original AOSP/ICS sound pack.
The current packages are compatible with both AOKP, sgt7 (Te4m) and CM9 (Te4m) builds. In fact, they should also work with any and all subsequent versions as well, but who knows.
Notes & Observations
- Only compatible with ICS (Android 4.0.3 and 4.0.4)
- Only compatible with Recovery 3.0.x or later (should not be a problem with recent/modern ROMs/builds)
- Should be compatible with other devices as well!
However, if you indeed get into trouble, try clearing cache, dalvik cache and flashing your original ROM on top of this package. No data wipe should be required!
Download & Install:
Download OP post attachment of your choice (or all)
Save zips onto your Tab
Reboot in Recovery mode
Install zip from SD Card
Reboot tab
Enjoy
Disclaimer
I will not offer support to anyone in case these ZIPs cause any harm or damage in any way. You are responsible of your own actions including flashing anything to your device!
Thanks and Credits
Thanks, in no particular order to these guys:
Google and Android in general
Team hacksung
The SGT7 ICS Te4m
The CM9 team
The AOKP team
Let me know of any issues in the thread.
Peace,
C.

Does this include the ringtones and notification sounds too? I'm using AOKP b34 on my GNex and wanthem to use them.

Yes, both packages include all sounds including UI, Ringtones, Notifications and Alarms.
They contain the full audio pack of each ROM, extracted for use in a portable way.

Hi, would this work on sgs2 with cm9? Thanks.

Yes, it should work ok on SGS2.

midNIGHT ROM v2.4 EXT4 (DUAL) NEW KERNEL Support Froyo DK28 w/clockwork redirect
Change Log:
Brand New Dual Boot Kernel. This means you can now install this ROM with or without EXT4 installed. If you want the benefit of EXT4 then it needs to be installed prior. If your among those who don't then just flash this rom as usual. This ROM will work on the Stock RFS format phones as well. This is only possible because of Dameon87's AMAZING WORK. I have tested this and it works very well.
Also to avoid further confusion I have reverted the MMS apps icon back to the green icon. I keep geting requests for the stock app. This is the stock app. It just has the 5mb increase. Thats it.
Guys I have the EXT4 install down to a science now. This is very simple and you DON'T need abd...There are a few ways floating around but this is bt far the most noob friendly.... So here you go.
How to install EXT4 on a rooted DK28 ROM in 3 steps…….
Things you will need to do prior:
You need to pre-root with the one click root w/ clockwork redirect
Copy the midNIGHT v2.4 ROM over to your SD card. Make sure you have the OneClickEXT4.v1.3 folder on your desktop. The files are found here
3 EASY STEPS
1) Boot into clock work and flash the midnight v2.4 ROM
2) Once completed back out to the main menu in clockwork and scroll down to advanced and select “reboot Recovery” and plug the usb cable into the phone.
3) Once your back into the “New” Recovery v2.5.1.2 run the “install-ext4” found inside the OneClickEXT4.v1.3 folder (That’s on your computer) and wait 3-5 minutes for it to complete then reflash the midNIGHT ROM
That’s it. You can download Quadrant from the market. Run it and see your new score.
Before you doubt this procedure try it for yourself. Sometimes the simplest solution is the best.
Let me explain why this works. The prepare zip is the means by which you install the new recovery. That's all it does. The new recovery is already included in my rom. Flashing the KERN-DK28EXT4 is doing just that flashing the kernel. My rom already has that included as well. So by flashing the ROM first you have installed the Recovery(prepared zip) and the new kernel (KERN-DK28EXT4) all in one motion. Then all that's left is to plug in and run the install bat. It's really mush easier this way. I was aiming to make it accessible to more people with different experience levels.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Instructions:
1) You MUST ODIN THE DK28 modem (if you already haven't)
2) Boot into clockwork
3) WIPE DATA/Cache/Dalvik x3
4) Flash midNIGHT v2.0.6 zip
5) DO NOT WIPE DATA AGAIN (You can wipe the caches but NOT DATA). Wiping data again will remove ALL APPS IN THE DATA FOLDER
6) First boot might take a few minutes
7) Enjoy

No problem. I am in love with the custom theme on here. I was coming from working on the gingerbread port from the Nexus S and my wifi broke when flashing back to DK28 with odin, it would shut off and reboot, so I finally just flashed this ROM again and what do you know, wifi AND gps are both working perfectly. Nice job on the ROM, I really do appreciate your work. (;
NM, I'm a tard when its late
Nice work!! I love your attention to detail!! Looks great

I said the SAME thing. I just extracted a talk.apk file from a bonsai rom and installed it like normal and it worked
*EDIT* any chance of the kernel being worked on to extend the 6sec timeframe for the boot sound. I mean id personally would love 15sec

CM6 coming along, More devs coming on-board,and this truly awesome battery saving theme.
I like the dark colors seems less of a battery drain for daily use thanks.

[Q] Dumb question, but help a newb out

Ok, so have flashed TB Fusion 1.1.8.
Was just wondering how you go about installing the multiple adaptations there are for it (eg black ring etc)
Do you just follow the same process with CWM and select the zips like you're flashing a new ROM?
Cheers

As far that I've seen there is no color mods for Sense 3.0 lock-screen ring yet.
And yes, if there is an flashable ZIP like upgrade or mods; you don't have to Wipe data unless it says so by the creator or uploader, so just flash it like an ROM without the wipe.
Hope this was what you meant, and i hope it helped!
this is a good place to check... look in their roms section theunlockr.com
I may be confused, but thats what i thought the FusionBlackLock download was;
Download
TB Fusion 3d: 3.0 Rosie & Widgets included
version 1.1.9 (FULL ROM)
- MD5: 8aa789d94839cc161f461b32aeaa63c4
* No need to full wipe if you're on 1.1.x already
Fusion_BlackLock-0.2.zip
old sense 2.1 weather sounds
* flash this if you don't like the new sounds
Stock_Weather_KingdomLock-0.2.zip
* STOCK Weather app modified to work with Kingdom Lockscreen.
WeatherLWP-Silent.zip
* Flash it if you can not disable weather LWP sound.
Thanks for the help, i guess i could of just tried it myself, but wanted to save myself the heart ache of having to reinstall everything if it screwed up.
On a side note, why would you want to put a different 'kernel' on?
I understand the ROMs etc being essentially the interfacing, but isnt the kernel kinda like the equivalent of a bios? Whats the benefit of flashing a new one, and is it even more of a risk than flashing ROMs?

Special thanks to the creator of the theme inexus from which I was inspired to give a graphic touch to the rom.
This rom (not a mod) has been developed entirely from the source of Google and very little of Cyanogen framework.
Thanks to Cyanogen and all his staff for the contributions received.
This rom I have installed three terminals, a free Poland, and two orange, one with a month and another one day, the three smoothl.
I used Ricardo's cm7 rom to port it to our device.
I did not hellraise as that didn't work for this one, But I have ported this rom to another device so was aware that the CM7 files and SuperOSR files are very compatible.
I like to think that SuperOSR is a colorful and interactive CM7 that is easy to use. Instead of CM7 settings you have supsettingsV20
A LIL ABOUT ME
This is not my first rom, but I have only had the phone for one day before making Rom. I have modded and/or ported roms for the x10 the motorola bravo and now the thrill 3D. This rom is visually made to be caught up to mu thrill rom so i can update them around the same time. I am slowly getting used to Samsung files.
Thanks to all the other developers in the Infuse/sgs2 forums. My base file is stock gingerbread modding tricks from several developers. You can use most gingerbread kernels with this rom.
Must have cwm recovery to install. This install does not erase data but always remember to manually delete data if you are not coming from a CM7 based Rom... and backup your data and rom
HOW TO INSTALL
Prerequisite: You must be running a kernel with CWM and be on the FROYO BASEBAND
1) Download SuperOSR ROM and place it on your SD card.

4) Select "wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, wipe advanced/dalvick".
5) Select "install zip from sdcard" and navigate to and select V

Not needed?
Have you seen this forum the last month or so? It's DEAD!
Any, and I say ANY project from any developer should be welcomed. And building a ROM not-stock is a f*cking good news!
So it has problems, no 3D, uses Froyo Baseband... WTF PEOPLE: IT'S IN ALPHA STAGE!
Very very much thanks rdannar for your work.

Sound Flash for Sprint SPH-L720

[] SPH-L720 Sprint Sound Flash
[Old school Tones for your new TouchWiz Phone]
TouchWiz ONLY.
Back in the day I always had ringtones on my SD card but when swapping out ROMS / or wiping cache/etc sometimes it would get lost in settings. Also I’ve run in to issues where I accidently delete the wrong files on the SD and then lose the sound for my custom settings.
Anyway I’ve upgraded my phone to the S4 and wasn’t all too happy with the factory sounds, so I tweaked out a zip file that you can flash in recovery that will bring back some of the sounds from older Phone Models/ROMS that you probably previously used. This is a collection of tones from previous CM9/CM10, Gingerbread/Droid and ICS etc… that I had lying around in a file on my desktop.
Also threw in some Ultrasonic Sounds and are named after their MHz in listing.
This Zip file will flash the tones/ringers/alarms to the correct corresponding system directory in your TouchWiz ROM. I did not include UI tones as they basically stayed the same throughout the builds over the last years and didn't want to override the system ones. Also this will only add tones and not override your factory tones either.
To give credit where it’s due,
Tone Providers
Cyanogenmod Team
HTC
Motorola Droid
Google
Reverepats for the base ZIP file.
If I fail to include anyone/anything please inform me as so I can give credit to where credit is due.
Installation:
1. Download / Place Zip to your root of your SD card
2. Reboot into custom recovery (TWRP or CWM)
3. Install zip ( no need to wipe delvic/cache as its already set up for you)
4. Reboot and choose your tones…
As with anything you flash from here please do so at your own risk. I take no responsibility on the outcome of your device after flash. But I always recommend creating a backup prior so that you can always return your previous setup.
This has been tested on TouchWiz MF9 Builds Only and is designed to do so. I have not tested this Zip on any of the latest JB/AOSP CM builds or previous TouchWiz builds yet but if you try it and it works for you feel free to let me know as I can update the OP accordingly.
Thanks and hope you all enjoy.

[Nook HD/HD+] EMMC CM11 install - updated 11/29

I see there's this new CM11 going, and thanks to @Hashcode who solved most of the complex problems already, here's my first stab at CM11 on our Nook HDs that installs into internal memory (EMMC).
The install is a lot similar to how it was done in CM10.2 days, but you will need a new recovery image (and a new sdcard image for those doing initial install):
So, For Nook HD+: Initial ovation sdcard image (cwm) | ovation recovery image (CWM)
For Nook HD: hummingbird Initial sdcard image | hummingbird recovery image (CWM)
I did some light testing and things seems to be working for whatever light loads I came up with, but still there are probably tons of problems that I have not yet noticed. Please write in the comments about what's broken and I'll try to fix it. Once it's good enough, I'll try to get official nightlies going for CM11 as well, I guess.
Latest CM11 EMMC images are now available as CM11 nightlies at:
For Nook HD+ get ovation builds
For Nook HD get hummingbird builds
There also might be experimental builds available referenced below in the history section.
(Also for completeness, For Nook HD+ sdcard image cm-11-20141129-UNOFFICIAL-ovation-sdcard.zip, | initial sdcard image for ovation )
For new Installs:
Download the initial sdcard image
ungzip and write to sdcard using dd (winimage or whatever for those stuck on Windows)
Instert the card into your nook and reboot
Flash the recovery image
Flash cm11 image
Flash whatever other extra things you need like gapps
remove the sdcard
reboot the nook
For upgrades from CM10.x (the only tested are 10.2 and 10.1). If you have any problems after upgrade - you'll need to do factory reset to clear /data:
Download recovery zip and CM11 install and place it on the nook
Reboot into recovery you already have installed
Flash the recovery zip you just downloaded
reboot into recovery again (This is important! Failure to do this will botch your upgrade and you'll need to wipe /data) so that the new recovery is started.
Install CM11, install other stuff you need like gapps
reboot
enjoy
Note: After upgrade you will need to reenter all of your wifi passwords.
Useful apps:
Overall loudness and volume control app: NookHDVolumeAdjuster-1.apk
Touch screen sensitivity control: NookTouchscreenSensitivityAdjuster-4.apk (backup link)
USB host control (usually only needed on official CM builds, as otherwise you can use Quick Settings panel): USBHostSwitcher.apk
Known problems:
- attempting to reformat external sdcard from android crashes volume manager - seems to be upstream problem of some sort. The sdcard is left in some strange state, so don't do it. (if you did, reformat the sdcard on your PC, all data will be lost either way)

Thanks dude. I was hoping you'd start building it. Downloading now!
Working well so far. Thanks for making it and glad to have you back.
for those who need gapps you could see below (Be sure to choose 4.4.2 gapps.)

Thanks for starting the work again -- I can't wait for official nightlies. And welcome back.
Also, it seems that we have to use CWM. Is there a reason TWRP isn't supported, or is that on the to-do list?
Nice to see this, I've used Bokbokan's eMMC build off his blog with TRIM support by default (MAG2GA ver06 10/2012), and I've used yours with TRIM everything worked great.
Does this build come with TRIM enabled?
Will this be updatable via CM updates in settings?
Thank you for making my tablet a tablet again!
It would be interesting to know if it presents visible differences from CM 10.2 regarding responsiveness, especially with ART enabled. It's the last fort to be conquered with our nooks (trim+art). Sadly my nook is not back yet so any reports would be welcome.
Awesome

It should be updatable via the settings once it's an official built. Right now, all of the builds are unofficial ones, so they have to be fully downloaded and flashed.
verygreen is the official device maintainer for CM though, so once he "approves" of the build, it will be built nightly by the CM servers, and then it will be fully integrated into their update mechanism (or CyanDelta if you use that). Just like the 10.2 builds.

It's on the todo list, but cwm was easier to make at first (as in, next to zero effort)

Yes, this has TRIM-enabled kernel, though I have not decided if I should do it for the official releases.
Have there been any more bricks with the trim-fixed kernels in the past couple of months?

I guess yes, once there are official nightlies again. But I want to make sure it's at least of adequate quality before enabling that.
Just an advisory: I just flashed this over Succulent's rom with no problems, BUT I lost all my saved wifi profiles and had to reflash gapps. Not any big deal, but to anybody else who plans to do that and isn't coming from CM 10.1/2: be prepared. Relatively painless upgrade, though. Very glad to see TRIM enabled. Don't plan on enabling ART until xposed/gravitybox is compatible. This is much, much smoother than Succulent's build.
Good job!
I can't speak for anyone but didn't see anything from a quick search in the post: TRIM FAQ. I can attest that mine works and I believe it should be one of the bad eMMC (MAG2GA ver06 not ver05).
I did test TRIM (vdc fstrim dotrim) no issues, and found the CM11 under updates (after I updated to CM11) so I can attest to that much!
Thanks for the reply

I would say they are about same smooth. Succulent's build has some nice framework and more option in performance settings. But just from system ui or user experience they are almost the same. Not could I tell the difference in app opening or transition.
Stock launcher Does lag when press the app drawer butter from home screen. But I use Nova launcher to solve the problem.
No find significant performance inprovememt over cm10.2 yet. Maybe Kitkat just does more job in UX polishing rather then performance.
Hopefully we could find some Performance MOD to use in KitKat.
It may very well be due to the fact that I upgraded from CM 10.2 and did not do a clean install, but for me Succulent's build was extremely laggy, many apps froze frequently, and when too many apps (more than like 3) were open it would reboot itself. I have none of those problems with this build, it's super smooth and fast and I haven't had any apps become laggy or crash or reboot my tablet. And this is upgrading from CM 10.2>Succulent's KK>Verygreen's KK; I still haven't done a factory reset and don't plan to unless it becomes necessary later. I use Nova as well. I'm not saying Succulent's build is bad, I thought it was bearable enough to use and was planning on using it long term, updating with each new build until it got to where I thought it should be, but then I installed this build and the difference is staggering. If I reflashed Succulent's build and wiped my data partition I might have a better experience, but now that I have this I don't see any need to.
this is great, glad to see you're back =)
my nook is currently being borrowed, i was wondering if anyone could quickly benchmark it?
thanks
Thank you Verygreen for this new build.
I will try it today.
I have 2 questions about CM11 and Nook HD+ hardware:
- did the HD+ have a bluetooth low energy (BT 4.0) chips?
- did the HD+ have a Low-power audio playback (kitkat new feature) capable chips?
If yes, is it included in this new CM11 build?
Thanks
Edit:
I found that Nook HD+ has wl1271l chip and uses wl12xx driver. That chip is BT 4.0 and BLE. See here http://www.rfm.com/products/data/wls1271l.pdf
But this thread show that BLE isn't activated in CM.
