What do you want to do now?
Get the firmware based on your cid
"fastboot getvar cid" will give you cid
As you are soff already just install a unlocked 3.32 firmware..(mikes) To get unlocked bootloader. Then change the cid better make it supercid.

See, as I said I can't get into my MicroSDcard , but if I could I would install a unlocked 3.32 firmware that works for my phone.
Instead i used one this firmware file and now i cannot get this out since i cannot enter
PATCH FIRMWARE FILES FOR CARRIERS (Use this if you bootloop using 3.24 - 3.32. Flash like normal firmware)
Is there any way i can get into my SDcard so i can download this 'cid'
Thanks for the reply

Get a card reader and try to delete the file.
Otherwise just get another sdcard..
And insert it into the phone.. And run Again

How can I get one that is actually suitable for my device I don't want my phone to get even worse Thanks

Try this:
Take out your sd card, put in in your computer, delete the PG58IMG and put the SD back in the phone. Boot the bootloader, reboot into recovery, then install the rom of your choice.
Might not work, but it's worked before.

Your pg58img firmware didn't flash properly. In other words all your partition didn't get flash. That's why the Rom won't boot.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
Firmware not flashing because you did not Super CID your phone. Search in the this forum on the instructions. After doing this, reflash the firmware and then the ROM again
Yup had the exact same problem. Delete the pg58img off sd card from computer. Restore nandroid backup. Follow the install supercid instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300 (step 4) reflash flash firmware from hboot, flash rom, rejoice!
Hello again
Thanks for the replies guys. I took out my micro sd card and i erased the .zip file. I loaded a new rom and now its working just fine. My question is do i have to do the CID thingy? ?
Also, what exactly was my problem?
The firmware was trying to flash automatically(because it found the PG58IMG), but your phone did not allow it (no SuperCID).
Deleting the file put it out of the loop. I would do the supercid and upgrade the firmware to move to an ICS rom. Happy flashing!
So
So if i do the CID i will be able to install any ICS rom?

Yes... SuperCID then flash the PG58 and you're good to go...
And remember, if you have a PG58IMG file on your sd card, you won't be able to use the bootloader at all without first removing the file.

(Help!) Attempted wrong firmware upgrade from 2.3.4 HTC Sensation Z710a

ok so i wanted to install the ICS on my android but it needed the 4.03 firmware but the 4.03 firmware needed a firmware from 3.x.x so i when to find one and now my device is bricked i can still flash to ROM but thats about it. i can turn it on and it just sits there with a white screen with a label saying "HTC". i have tried restoring from my ROM back ups since i got clock mod installed in the recovery menu i tried every thing i wiped every thing and when i flash or re flash a rom my HTC goes into a booting cycle. and my CID is supper cid and i remember my HBOOT being 1.18.000 but thats about it. i had stock firmware of 2.3.4
My phone had firmware with vodafone australia.
my SD card is intact but i think internal SD card is corrupted or what ever where ever the firmware gets flashed to.
and i cannot seem to find the original vodafone HTC Sensation 2.3.3 firmware so i could restore it and then update it to 2.3.4.
and i tend to get an error from:
E:format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/mmcbllk1p2
this when i try to do factory reset from clockmod

What md5 checksum do you want to check ?? There are many utilities to check md5 checksum on computer. Run superwipe script , then install Android Revolution HD 6.2.1 , You have the correct firmware for it. I can see.
I have a same problem.
Didn't read the thread very well and I upgraded the wrong firmware.
Now, I just see the ''HTC'' logo and after that it's only rebooting over and over again. I downloaded the firmware I needed, thought I will just replace it with this ''broken'' one, but I'm getting errors all the time. And after that, again rebooting.
HTC Sensation, S-Off, first firmware was 2.3.4.
Error is: ''CID incorrect, update fail'' in HBOOT.
Only way I can stop rebooting after that message is to take out the battery.
Anyone got any other solutions except the first answer?
Thank you in advance, sorry about my bad english.
NOTE: I'm a noob at this, just wanted ICS on my phone. So, please, explain it in ''moron language''

Pull the card out and boot it into hboot mode. Then to recovery. Mount your sd card. Plug it into your computer. Delete the incorrect firmware. Find a superwipe zip. Flash Zip. Then flash correct firmware.

It looks like you have a valid version of the Firmware (HBOOT 1.27.1100). However you need to understand that that version ONLY supports ICS ROMs, so it won't support your old ROM even if you recover it. Also as usual you should SuperWipe when changing things this dramatically.
As you still seem to be able to get into Recovery try the following:
i) Download the Superwipe Script from the ARHD thread, in the Downloads bit in he first post.
ii) Download a full ICS ROM, take your pick (my preference is Virtuous Inquisition 3.5).
iii)Copy the files over to the SD-card from your PC.
iv) Delete the PG59IMG.zip from the SD-card. (ADDED IN EDIT1)
In recovery, run the Superwipe Script. Then Install the ICS ROM. The first re-boot will take a few mins.
To check MD5s just get a free MD5 checker for your PC and also get one for the phone, when it's backup up and running.

You haven't detailed what your HBOOT is at the moment, what does it say if you go into BootLoader ?
As it's mentioning CID, I assume you didn't SuperCID the phone, not an issue just get the right one for you CID from:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
After you update the Firmware you'll need to:
i) SuperWipe
ii) Install ICS ROM
iii) Remove the PG58IMG.zip file from the SD-Card.

In this thread ''[Firmware][Feb 22]User-Friendly Firmware 1.17/3.12/3.24 & 3.30 Unlocked'' I downloaded ''HTC China & H3G'', version 3.30 by mistake.
HBOOT installed the PG58IMG.zip file and after that he's just rebooting.
I have T-Mobile Europe carrier but my HTC is unlocked.
Now, I don't really know what firmware to download or how to check for the right one. Also, I don't know how to SuperWipe or anything so I need someone just to write all the steps. From Wipe to ROM. I found nothing on this anywhere else and I searched all night. I'm new to Android (Have Sensation for about 2 months) so thank you for your help people! Really appreciate it.

The same thing as XxUnkn0wnxX is getting.
So I'm following the steps from gol_n_dal to see what will happen.
I have done the same thing. I am on UK Orange and have flashed with the wrong firmware. My phone is now on a constant reboot loop. When i enter HBOOT i get the following:

CID incorrect!
Update Fail!
I think I need to setup super CID, but I cant as I cant boot the phone to connect via adb on my windows PC... Is there anything I can do to fix?

Tried that, still stuck in the loop. I think half the firmware update has ran, then it has failed, so i need to roll back...
Download both the 3.30 and 3.12 FW. Open the 3.12 zip on your computer and replace just the Hboot file with the one from the 3.30 zip. Then flash the customized zip so you'll have the 3.30 fw with the 3.12 boatloader (1.23 not 1.27) and then flash a 3.30 Rom.
Some phones arent booting with the 1.27 bootloader that comes with the 3.24 and 3.30 fw.

You can superCID from fastboot. Put it in bootloader, connect USB, bootloader should say fastboot USB.
Follow sticky guide in dev forum.

I had the same problem when I first tried to flash a rom, you just have to find the right firmware for your CID, find yours here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767, and if you don't know your CID just superCID as shown in the guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300 and skip steps 5,6,7, just manually boot into bootloader.
If you want you can also see what I did on this thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1516373

Are you s-off ? If you are S-OFF , then you need not have any file.
Just boot into bootloader.
Open a fastboot terminal in pc.
and type
fastboot oem writecid 11111111
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot getvar cid
After this you will get a reply like this CID : 11111111
If you are not S-OFF, then first install adb and fastboot in your pc from here for windows or from here for linux and follow this guide.
How To get your Hboot Version - 3 methods below
1. Run the revolutionary Utility you just downloaded from http://revolutionary.io/ and if it has found your device it should read
"Found your Device: HTC Sensation Z710* Applications -> Development)
4. With the phone switched on (not in HBOOT, just the regular home screen), plug in your USB cable and select HTC sync mode.(IGNORE any warning messages on your phone telling you it cannot find HTC Sync )
5. Launch revolutionary.exe. It should detect the phone and ask for your beta key. Type it (BE CAREFUL, as its case sensitive) or copy and paste it in.
If Revolutionary fails to find your phone verify you have all the drivers installed, try disk drive mode or charging mode (Linux users can use disk drive mode. Confirmed to be working by others)
6. Once you have entered your beta key correctly, follow any on screen prompts or actions from revolutionary and wait for it to S-Off,
7. You're done. Your Device will Successfully have S-OFF....if it hangs on method 3 and doesn't S-Off. See post 2 below for solutions.
IF REVOLUTIONARY SAYS FAILED YOUR PHONE IS NOT SUPPORTED. Go back and check hboot using the methods above. some users are told its failed and they still have S off now. If you have S-off your hboot will now be 1.17.1011 and revolutionary will tell you now your device is not supported
8. Revolutionary will now ask you to Install clockwork recovery mod after S OFF. Type N and install it manually below (the recovery provided is v4.0.1.4 doesn't charge when device is switched off, the one below v5.0.0.1 does charge)
9. Your Device now is S-off.

By fastboot terminal I mean :
Open command prompt in windows.
CD to the directory where adb and fastboot installed ( generally platform-tools folder in the sdk).( Boot your phone into bootloader mode. and connect to pc)
Now type :
in the command prompt:
fastboot oem writecid 11111111
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot getvar cid

What's the cid? to get cid "fastboot getvar cid " from fastboot.. Your firmware is old one and the rom it has might be incompatible.. That's why bootloop is happening

Good its European unbranded one
Get an ICS RUU... And run it (you are already on 1.19.0000 so revolutionary is not possible)
Here is the shipped rom thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074559
Get something along this line
RUU_PYRAMID_ICS_HTC_Europe_3.32.401.5_Radio_11.69.3504.00U_11.22.350…
If it's xe then use this one
RUU_PYRAMID_LE_ICS_35_S_HTC_Europe_3.32.401.105_R_Radio_11.69.3504.…
Remember to run RUU from fastboot screen..
Also the RUU will install ICS with 1.27 hboot
Try running RUU from unlocked bootloader first if it didn't work then relock bootloader again and run the RUU

Ok I'm gonna try but that is not the official cid i changed it to HTC__001 from 11111111. Should I take the RUU from the provider if there is one with ICS or use the EU one because of the cid?

Right now you got HTC__001 that's all matters. The ruus I've mentioned are EU ones (based on your cid) and also ICS
You need to run RUU based on your cid...
Also once you've updated to ICS you can soff now..

Thanks dude. I'm now on HBOOT 1.27 and the ROM you told me. It isn't a XE.
But still the same problem it has boot loops. The boot brakes up suddenly after the sound start and the Quiet..... is coming. Any suggestions?

You successfully ran RUU and have 1.27 hboot and still bootlooping?
Can you post all details from bootloader again?

What about radio? Is bootloader not showing radio?
Did you run the RUU from unlocked bootloader earlier?
Can you unlock it via HTC again
Then check whether bootloader is showing radio too
If not relock again and run RUU again
Even after doing the above steps if it's still bootlooping
Then extract the rom.zip from RUU you've used
Guide here
http://www.freeyourandroid.com/guide/extract-rom-from-ruu
Extract the boot_secure.img from rom.zip
Then flash it using fastboot command
"fastboot flash boot boot_secure.img "
sent from my blazing fast pyramid through sonic waves
I tryed to flash with unlocked bootloader but Error 155 occured.
I pulled the SD-card off because there is a PG58130.zip on it and
now the radio version is on the bootloader screen too.
Also i searched for the boot_secure.img in the ROM.rar but there
was only a boot_singed.img.

Dude im lost...
i dont know what your problem is ...this should work
you didn't got any errors while flashing the boot_signed.img right?
also you got 3.32 firmware's Radio
and you successfully ran ICS RUU (without any errors right?)
there should not be any problem ...but you still got bootloops
you got radio in bootloader after doing relock right?
im looking for answers....just one last try...
relock the bootloader
then run RUU from fastboot again...
(let me know if you got any errors)
in the mean time ill search/ask for these weird bootloops you are having

That is what i get when i relock the phone but after the fail it says relocked so i can flash RUU.
And I made a little mp4 what the phone is doin' when I want to start ICS:

before running RUU from fastboot again try this
"fastboot erase cache"
then run RUU from locked bootloader again

EDIT:
if that still didn't work then
extarct rom.zip form RUU ..keep it in your adb folder
then run these commands one after another
fastboot erase cache;
fastboot oem rebootRUU;
fastboot flash zip rom.zip
doing it this way gives you the output of whats happening in the terminal. which is useful as to why it doesn't boot

after 2nd command your phone should have a black screen with HTC on it
and did RUU exited successfully ?
anyways
join the irc link in my signature...there are lot of people much experienced than me
they might got a solution
tell them the problem again ...
in the mean time ill talk with them
Ehhhm the RUU exited not successfully. The bar one le black screen shows like 95% and the terminal says finished.

Sensation ICS problems

The thing is Im running a rooted android and I tried installing the InsertCoin ICS update and it gets stuck in the booting screen and restarts. How can I get ICS on my rooted sensation4g?
Thanks in advance
Update to the proper firmware for ICS. ICS and GB ROMs have different firmware.
Here is the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
Make sure you read this throughly before attempting to flash. Make sure you have S-Off and your CID is 11111111
Good luck.

you are SOFF..but your radio is too old..for ICS
that's the issue for your bootloop
whats your cid ?
anyways as you are SOFF we will change your cid to superCID (its fine as you can revert it back) if you are already super cid then ignore the next steps and go to firmware steps
supercid: (assumed that you have adb/fastboot setup on your pc)
go to fastboot on your mobile and connect it to pc (mobile reads "fastboot usb" after this )
then go to your adb folder on your pc and type this command
fastboot oem writecid 11111111 (eight ones)
then you are done you are supercid now
now you need to flash firmware 3.32 and install whatever ICS rom you want
firmware 3.32 and flashing any ICS ROM
this is by far the best guide to do that
FIRMWARE 3.32 and ARHD ...you can use the same steps for installing any ICS ROM even though the guide explained on flashing ARHD
Got it working thanks a lot

Stuck in bootloop

So I was being stupid and didn't read all the instructions while I was trying to flash a PG58IMG for ICS and I think I installed the wrong version for me. Now I'm stuck in a bootloop but I CAN access the recovery and hboot. I don't know what to do now.

Do you have a ics Rom flashed to match the ics firmware? If you still have gb this will put you into bootloop . Flash the ics firmware which is 3.32 or 3.33 then flash the ics Rom. You must remove the pg58img file after you flash Also or it will continue to try to upgrade the file over and over . I hope this helps you.

I'll try flashing 3.33 or 3.32 then flashing the ROM, thanks.
Right now it's stuck at the boot "htc" logo, It's been like this for about 4 mins, is this normal on updating the firmware?
EDIT: It has been about 15 mins now and I recided to go into hboot and the message thing at the top was changed. Now it reads:
*** LOCKED ***
PYRAMID PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT-1.29.0000
RADIO-11.24A.3504.31_M
OpenADSP-.05.6.0.2226.00.0418
eMMC-boot
and at the end after the "sd checking", it says "Battery voltage is too low! Please change a battery..."
Not sure if has anything to do with my problem, but its worth putting out there.
No this is not normal. Charge your device, update firmware 3.32 or 3.33, now you WILL have a bootloopv if your on a gb Rom, so update to a ics Rom. This should solve the bootloop. When updating with a pg58img file you place it on the root of your sd card, pull battery put battery back in then press power and volume at the same time then press power to accept update it will automatically update .remove the pg58img file at this point or it will continue to try to update. I really hope this helps. Sometimes it takes up to 5 or so minutes for the first boot of a Rom but after that I would say it's too long if you're still waiting. Have you done all these steps? With the correct firmware?are you wiping before your flash? It should work smoothly with these steps? Once your charged go over steps again make sure your not missing a step. Hope this helps

Nevermind, I seem to have fixed it by updating the firmware version, thanks for your help!

keep in mind one thing... you must use matching firmware/rom.. i mean for example
- Firmware 3.33 Universal / (ICS)
- Firmware 1.17 Universal / (GB)
so if you're on ICS you must be on 3.33 fw, that should do the trick

Hi Guys! Ths is my first post so I'll try to be as brief and clear as possible. I'm having the same problem with the boot logo, and as far as I try to upgrade I don't get the yes/no option.

Had stock ROM and Rooted Via HTCdev and CWM'd with HTC one X AIo Kit. Phone was working perfectly until I installed ROM Toolkit and decided to change fonts. Afterwards, the phone got stuck on the boot logo, but I can access bootloader and recovery mode via CWM. I can't install PG58IMG even that i have tried several versions, including 3.24, 3.30, 3.32 & 3.33.
When detecting PG58IMG I get this:
SD Checking..........
Loading.....[PG58DIAG.zip]
No image!
Loading......[PG58DIAG.nbh]
No Image or wrong image!
Loading.....[PG58IMG.zip]
Parsing.....[PG58IMG.zip]
Then turns back to bootloader menu
Any help will be really appreciated.

While being SON you can't I mean you CAN'T flash a firmware.
Now follow the "flashing roms with SON" guide by asskickar.. In sensation general section of.. To the letter
