[Q] Security warning fix?

While flashing the RUU file it worked but when i put s-on using the method adb command prompt it put the device into a 'security warning' state and won't boot fully, only to hboot screen, it says on the page that i should run the RUU file again but it gets stuck at Sending..... after wiping the user data and says that it cannot update it. Any advice?

PANIC! RUU failed with usb connection error

Hello everyone.
I think my DS has gone, i tried to downgrade using the tutorial, everything went ok till i launched the RUU that stopped at 22% of update (after radio update if i remember well). Now I can only access into the bootloader showing hboot 0.98.0000 S-ON but there are no images, it doesn't boot and i'm in full panic. What should I do now? :/

Get in FASTBOOT mode, connect the phone, re-run the RUU.

[Q] SKG Utility Controlbear S-off failure stuck in bootloader, advice

Aplogies if this is not the best starting point but have been reading for 10 hours and am reluctant to take a next step after failure of s-off that has stuck phone in bootloader.
Details
Copied all SD card data to PC
Rooted phone as described by HTCdev
Used SKG utility to attempt s-off
Controlbear got stuck in some strage loop waiting for device after process had started. Never even got prompted to try the wire trick :-( 30 mins later I had to pull the pin
rebooting phone gave me the Controlbear black screen with Green arrow but could now not connect to the device using controlbear just said waiting for device then press any key to exit
Phone will not boot to android OS
when USB connected to phone in bootloader it says FASTBOOT USB and
fastboot devices lists my connected device so USB is OK
Followed instructions at unlimited.io/troubleshooting to try to recover controlbear -f seemed to do somthing so then did
fastboot flash boot recovery_backup.img
which failed could not find image !!!!! der
downloaded 4ext recovery.img
fastboot flash boot recovery.img
worked
Now have
Details of boot
*** UNLOCKED ***
Pyramid PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT 1.27.0000
Radio 11.24.3504.10_M
OpenADSP-v)2.6.0.2226.00.0131
cMMC-boot
CID reported by fastboot getvar cid is BM__001
Just tried everything from bootloader but always got back bootloader screen no Controlbear screen with arrow as before
At a whim I ran the controlbear -f again and whammo it came up with the 4ext recovery which I was happy to see. Despite doing a backup before starting anything 4ext says no backup present :-(
How can I recover device? I have downloaded the Bell stock RUU which should be correct for this device. Running it says device image version is 3.32.666.13Hesitant to try anything without some good advice. Hopefully I can recover and try the s-off agin but it's been a painful ride. Is it just as simple as clicking update on the RUU exe?
thanks
The backups are not present its saying when you are doing controlbear -f
That means you have no backup present in that controlbear folder
This can be either because of
1.you have another copy of controlbear folder where you done the soff process and where the controlbear saved the backups
(there will be boot_backup.img, recovery_ backup.img)
2.you deleted those images from the controlbear folder
Now what you can do is
1.just find the boot_backup.img and flash it via bootloader
fastboot flash boot boot_backup.img
That will get you out of the Juopunutbear screen..
No need to run the ruu in this case
Edit: and with regards to the 4EXT backup.. The backup will be stored in sdcard and during soff process the sdcard will be wiped.. That's why 4EXT said no backup present.. Just format your sdcard again.. Copy the sdcard backup from your pc (at least copy the Clockworkmod/backup folder to sdcard with the same path in sdcard... It holds your rom backup if you did any)
Then try the 4EXT backup

If your problem was solved, it's a good idea to add [SOLVED] to the topic.
Still in trouble
HI thanks for the advice. Went to the io help and they said relock boot and reflash RUU. Now I have not RUU'd at all as have not been able to find a suitable one. But did fastboot oem lock as suggested. Can I now unlock it again as your post made way more sense and I found the recovery stuff you are speaking of. Just need to unlock and I should be able to recover. is there an unlock command?

Copy the unlock_code.bin to the folder with adb & fastboot.
Then
Code:
fastboot flash unlocktoken unlock_code.bin

[Q] Stuck trying to flash a rom.

I think I've made a few mistakes but I don't think all hope is lost. Part of my problem is simply that most of the links to ROMs and images for this phone are broken.
I'm going to try to keep this as short as possible, but this is what I did...
I followed this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1801106
Unlocked bootloader with HTC's tool.
Flashed CWM recovery
Backed up stock ROM (1.55.531.3) with CWM
Flashed MikTouch 0.7 ROM
On reboot, the screen hung on the mytouch logo, so I presume that the flash failed and restore.
A few more tries and I decide to root and S-OFF before trying to flash the ROM again.
Used a superuser apk to gain root, verified that root was obtained.
Loaded up an ubuntu live CD, ran JuopunutBear.
Followed all steps and did the wire trick wrong (only tapped once instead of twice).
It failed, on rebooting the phone the following screen is displayed: https://www.dropbox.com/s/d1hz7j66h7mxj36/2014-10-13 13.46.31.jpg?dl=0
On checking the SD card, I find that the phone is unable to mount it, it seems to be fried so the backup I had is now gone.
I attempted to do the wire trick (correctly) many more times with no success.
I was able to revive the SD card later by repartitioning it with the MT4GS and then formatting it with my HTC Amaze, but the backup is still gone.
Did a ton more research and then went to bed...
This morning I woke up and shut off the computer I had used to do JuopunutBear, thereby losing the backup that it had made (mistake, didn't realize there was a backup there).
The only stock ROM I could find with a working download link was 1.28.531.9, I renamed it to P59IMG.zip and tried to flash it.
No luck, it has a progress bar that fills, then it reboots and I'm back to the screen with the green arrow.
I tried relocking the bootloader first, and it seems to get further but then fails when it realizes my HBOOT is newer than the one in the image.
I've been looking into downgrading the HBOOT version to 1.44.0007 so I can just do an S-OFF and be done with it, but I can't figure out how to do that.
I hear that you can't get S-OFF with 1.45.0013 using JuopunutBear, of course I only found this out today but I'm not even sure it's true.
The guide I was following uses HBOOT 1.45.0013 so when I get to the step where it says I can flash ROMs, I'm not really sure why it didn't work for me.
So here's where I'm stuck...
HBOOT 1.45.0013
S-ON
Unlocked
CWM 5.5.0.4 Recovery
Stuck on the software download screen: https://www.dropbox.com/s/d1hz7j66h7mxj36/2014-10-13 13.46.31.jpg?dl=0
I've gone through this process with several phones so I'm not really new at this. I've done a Samsung Behold II, HTC myTouch 3g and an HTC Amaze 4g. At this point I think my best course would be to restore this phone to stock before trying anything else. If I had a signed 1.55.531.3 ROM then I think I could get it back to where I started so I can try the whole thing again. But I can't find a working download link to one. I'd also be fine with going back to 1.28.531.9 as I think I could more easily do S-OFF with it.
Can someone with a bit more knowledge/experience please let me know if I'm missing something? Or just post some links to the ROMs I need?
Thanks!
Ok, I don't know why or how this worked, but I plugged the phone back into the ubuntu box and ran JuopunutBear like 10 times. It failed several times, in different places, with different errors each time. So I just kept doing it over and over again until it finally worked!
I now have MikTouch 0.7 installed and working perfectly.

Because the kernel is different, and you were still S-ON at the time, you would have needed to fastboot the boot.img file or else be stucjk in bootloop.

Shouldn't have made a difference, unless you were just tapping once the whole time. Then the process will eventually fail. It takes a while to get the timing right.

From there there was a restore script on the Juopunutbear package. But in hindsight, you probably already know that.

Excellent! If at first you don't succeed, try try again!
From there there was a restore script on the Juopunutbear package. But in hindsight, you probably already know that.

Yeah, by the time I found out about the restore function the computer I had booted up with the live CD had been rebooted into windows. So whatever backups JuopunutBear made disappeared when I rebooted.
I'm quite relieved that I got this phone working again, we need to get another year out of it at least. I had been nagging my wife for about 6 months to let me install a ROM on her phone as it was crashing constantly and extremely laggy. I couldn't stand to even watch her use it. Finally her phone became unusable even for her and she handed it over.
Had I not succeed, it would have meant buying her a new phone that we can't really afford right now. But worse, it would mean she'd never trust me to touch another phone of her's again.
VINDICATED! Her phone is now running better than the day she bought it.
