Samsung Intercept forum?

Is there a forum for the Intercept (or is it named something else (m910/Moment2)?
I cant find much about rooting this phone.

I have been all over the web looking for any development for this phone with no luck! I am starting to really regret buying it!

your question was your answer,theres a site called samsunginterceptforum.com go there and check it out.those guys are working on developing and sdx developers also

That samsunginterceptforum.com is kind of lame. Nobody is really posting there and they have like a 6 or 9 page thread about enabling the LED for the camera. The only problem is the phone has no LED flash??? So is there no way xda wants to start up a thread for the Intercept? Sure sdx has a forum but XDA gets all the attention online, and its not like there aren't other Samsung forums here as well.

didn't this phone just come out? It's going to take a little while for some real development to start...
I'm actually keeping an eye on it since it can be had on Virgin Mobile for $25 a month.....

I have the phone now with Virgin Mobile with the $25 plan and it's working great so far. The download speeds aren't as quick as what I'm getting on my T-Mobile G1 but for about half the price it's well worth it. There are some quirks in it but overall I'm happy with it.

Bumpage I'd really like to see a section added for this phone on here. I've been on the other two forums mention and the people there are well rude to say the least. Constant disrespect from high-up members and an unwilling to help attitude. Just my two cents on the situation.

This is by far my favorite android forum, out of all I've seen. I really do hope they give us a forum for the Intercept.

New to xda - Using Samsung Intercept - Would also like to see a group form here around this phone.

I really wish xda would take on this request, we need to go about convincing the admins to create a section for this device since a lot of people are curious and interested in one for it.

try sdxdevelopers.com all the developing is going on there and your guaranteed to not have anyone be rude,or not be willing to help. i have my intercept rooted,deodexed,i have a great rom and theme. i get 8-9 mflops on linpack where as stock only gets maybe 2-3. my phone is waay faster.

I did a linpack test on my VM Samsung Intercept, and I can pull a max of about 2.8mflops, how is it possible that a deodexed phone will perform almost 3 x's faster than stock? Can I see a screenshot of your linpack test?
Also, what rom are you running?

yup. ubuntdroid 3 is the best. i am now getting 9 mflops

I just order'd the intercept from virgin mobile online and now waiting for it to arrive. and i was wondering if you could lead me in the right direction to rooting it. what needs to be done for what you mention'd; deodexing, mflops and linpack. this would be my first phone that im actually gonna mess around with and i want to use it to its full advantage.

I'm new I won't post an outside link, but this forum had a good lead on rooting info.

It's a great phone, except for being stuck with Android 2.1. If we could just have the option of installing apps to the SD, the phone would rock ( especially for price)!

I found this gadget, and i think that can be usefull.
This is a External battery Pack for Ipod/Iphone/Ipad/Android system/Cameras/etc

He's posting the link oddly because he has less than 8 posts and can't posts legit links.

Normally I would say find a review on newegg or amazon and see what other people are saying but this thing isn't sold at either of those. I can find very little about it. I would not recommend it. and I wouldn't recommend being the guinea pig.

I'm not sure if it is possible to create a higher capacity battery while still keeping the same dimensions of the original battery. If it was that simple, shouldn't HTC have done this themselves?

So what? Seriously, why does it matter? I use a lot of dots....................does it affect my content or intent?
People who feel the need to scold or correct others is a bigger problem here than any caps IMO. Been here at the One S forum for less than a week and had my fill of it. Wasn't this bad at the G2X side.
I know......I'm doing it too.
But the needless scolding, mean-ness, and bad attitudes ruin this great forum IMO.

OK so to answer your question there is a way to change the battery say it becomes unusable, (Direct from T-Mobile tech support ) you can bring in the device to a service store and they can replacement it for you or upgrade it with an extended version that's made for it and there is a battery / case you can buy that fits over the device and doubles the life of the existing battery and protects the device at the same time.
Once I get mine in the mail this week (buy one get one free, I got two) I'll pull one apart and try to change out the sdcard to a 32gb (I guess it's gotta be cut on the left side to fit) and I'll report back with how I do.
But for the short answer, No and No with a side of lost topic abuse. Good luck...........

Teardown video. Can't watch now, but from the freezeframe, doesn't look like there's an actual "sd card" you can replace.

Actually it's been done already but I'm having a hard time finding the read through on it again but it shows you how to cut the SDCard ( along the side , it has to match the one taken from it.) so that it will fit the holder it locks into, it's not like the standard slot it actually has a plate over it.
If I find the breakdown again I'll post it but it actually doesn't look that hard to do but I think it didn't matter what kind of card it had to be as long as the casing was cut correctly.
I'm just not going to let this 32 gb SDCard go to waste even if I ruin one in the process I'll try anything once. I have pretty good hands though and because I'm use to soldering boards I think it shouldn't be too bad.
(If the information I got was correct too, you never know with the Net though.)
The information about the battery is valid though a tech at T-Mobile did say there is a battery that is made that will fit the case that you can upgrade it too but I didn't ask how much.

I'm very curious about this. I did a search last night, but couldn't find anything. Saw many interior pics but nothing w/ a card visible.
Any idea where you saw it?

The speeds from the internal storage are way faster than a typical micro sdhc, I'm not convinced that someone will find an sd card slot in there

I am obliged to reprimand the OP bit because I think WP8 on our phone would be awesome, I don't mind seeing this here. And I am glad everyone now knows about this. I bet there are many others interested.

Whether or not they are being like security guards, they are right about this going in general. As there is currently no actual development taking place, this is just a thread clogging the dev section. Until there is at least a preview build, this should be moved. Honest mistake by the op. Mod, please move or close the thread.

I mentioned this in one of the other threads, but the Ativ S was seen on the Verizon roadmap. I believe that would simplify some of the process in porting it.

Now, according to somebody in the HD2 forum, it would be difficult because, "the problem is going to be to hack the security and flash HSPL then magldr over that new bootloader." I've no clue what that means. :shrug:

I sincerely hope I'm wrong obviously, but so far it would appear that just like every other great-looking-magnetic-USB-c-funded-by-kickstarter item, this one too is also nothing more than a fraud and a sham. It's extremely sad, really.

People have been doing reviews of it on YouTube so they have been giving them to people. I heard about it from the YouTube channel coolosertech. I really hope this isn't a scam or anything.
