[Q] How to flash new ENG Hboot and new sense 3.0?

Hi All,
Firstly i assure you i've googled and searched the forums and cant find anything specific like a guide to flashing new hboots.
I currently have alpha revx hboot 6.98.1002 and would like to put the upgraded eng hboot so i can put the new stock sense 3.0 rom that proxuser has just released.
I cant post in the development section (nooob!) so need to write here.
Can i flash the eng hboot over my alpharevX hboot? If so, will i need to re-flash my current virtuous ROM??

no need for that hboot...
just wipe all, flash proxuser's rom, then the Unity v4 kernel from in post #2.

Your phone is s-off or s-on?

Android Revolution HD 3.6.8 custom kernel question

Just have a question for a custom kernel. I'm now running ARHD 3.6.8 on my HTC Sensation and it says Android 2.3.4 with 1.73.401.2. In the first post of the ARHD ROM:

This might be sound stupid but I never changed kernel and I do not want to end up with a bricked device so I go down the first post to 'Downloads' and I click on 'Custom Kernel Section'.

Then at the HTC Sensation / HTC Sensation 4G / HTC Sensation XE header there are all different versions of kernels and behind that there are descriptions as for example: For 1.45.401.2 (Android 2.3.4) or For 1.35.401.1 (Android 2.3.3).
But none of them is saying: 'For 1.73.401.2 (Android 2.3.4)'
I assume this means that the kernel will replace this to the version which is underlined in the description in the custom kernel section? (So actually downgrade it from the default 1.73.401.2 to for example 1.45.401.2?)
I just don't wanna end up with a bricked device or something

Hi,
If you are wanting a newer kernel,use the one in my signature.
Place it on your sd card,
wipe your cache and dalvik,
flash the kernel like a ROM,
and reboot.

Anyways, in the main post of the ARHD mike posted direct link to the main page of the faux123 Kernels, and Bricked i guess too.
That way i keep using 3.6.8 with 0.2.7 faux123 Kernel

I got now the new kernel from faux123 (the 0.2.7 - 1.73GHz) and it's working great!

[Q] Want to S-OFF HTC Sensation with Jelly Bean 4.1.2

Dear Friends,
First I want to thank you for all the guides available here, especially the ROMs that I tried ICS ARHD & AOKP 4.1.2.
I wanna know how to S-OFF rooted HTC Sensation with Jelly Bean 4.1.2.
I have HBOOT 1.27.xxxx but I have rooted the handset & installed aokp_pyramid_unofficial_Feb-03-13.
As the new ROMs is uploaded today viz. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2115520
it needs S-OFF hence the request.
If anyone knows whether I can try Juopunetbear S_OFF guide over aokp_pyramid I will be very thankful?
Any help is appreciated.

mostly juopunutbear soff wont work over aokp rom ..check the stock flashable roms thread by mike1986 in sensation development section ..you can flash that stock rooted rom using your current recovery and then you can continue with SOFF

you might run into problems ..while controlbear is working ..thats why they are asking for stock rom

Root HTC desire X with JB

Hello together,
well, it's my firs tpost here and I am new to this community...
Right now I have a HTC desire X with JB/Android 4.1 and I want to root it.
Is there a possible way way with hasoons AIO kit, and what
recovery (perhaps atis112-recovery.img ??) do I need ?
With Hasoons kit AIO v2.1 (thanks for this great application :good: )
there is the TWRP4.2.3.0 recovery, I think that is only for ICS/4.0 , right ?
Does someone know when we will get an updated version of the AIO kit supporting JB ?
