With less than two weeks remaining before Samsung's next flagship phone is unveiled in London, it seems we're beginning to see the start of the marketing campaign for the device. The image you see above comes from tgeltaayehxnx.com, the address of which is an anagram of "The Next Galaxy". The URL was first outed in a tweet from Samsung Mobile earlier today. And the page's title refers to a "whole new universe", with additional clues hidden in the page's metadata -- "Discover how Samsung is about to challenge the way you view the GALAXY once more."
A quick WHOIS lookup for the domain reveals it's owned by marketing agency The Upper Storey, which has been involved in campaigns for the likes of Nokia, Intel and LG in the past. The agency has also registered thenextgalaxy.com, an unscrambled version of the URL above. That site is currently password-protected, however.
The focus of the teaser site is a giant clock counting down to 12 noon UK time tomorrow, April 23 (7am EDT, 4am PDT). With the London event still a good 10 days away at that point, it's unlikely we'll see an official announcement, but some more clues about the Galaxy S III next Galaxy could be unveiled. One thing's for sure -- we'll be watching with interest come noon tomorrow.

It's safe to say I'm pretty pissed at the moment. They've revealed absolutely nothing.

wayyy back in 1999 i had a nokia 8850 mobile phone. in 2001, while living in hong kong i sold it as the screen was dead. now, fast forward to 2011. around 4 weeks ago my former mba classmate (in hong kong) sent me an email. she was shopping around the side streets of hk (kowloon, tsim tsa tsui) for a cheap and simple mobile phone for her 11 year old son. she stumbled on this nokia 8850 so she asked the vendor for it. she opened the back to check that all's well. upon removing the battery, she noticed a name that's been scribbled on the chrome surface. lo and behold, it was my name. i know, freaky. and i kid you not. anyway, she remembers me as we were study partners. so she sent me an email asking if i wanted to get the phone. of course i said yes! i offered to pay but she said the phone was too cheap so she shipped it right away. last friday (the 30th of sept), the parcel arrived. i put in a sim card and it works! very interesting...and freaky...that something from my past made its way back to me. just thought i'd share it. oh, and check out my signature. second to the bottom is that same nokia 8850 in the pic.

Cool story, bro. No, really cool
Call it a Christmas miracle or just call it common business sense, but Google has gone ahead and approved the first CyanogenMod phone for production. While this has nothing to do with the physical production of the device, it’s a way that Google controls access to having Google Apps natively provided to the device as opposed to having to flash Gapps separately.

With the latest blessing from Google, the Oppo N1 (…or CyanogeN1, if you will) will start shipping out on Christmas Eve.
This is a big deal for the guys behind CyanogenMod and congratulations to them are in order for reaching this milestone! From creating one of the most popular custom ROMs on Android to being showcased as a default OS on a brand new device.

For more information and specs on the Oppo N1, check out our recent article and review on the device.
Pricing for the CyanogeN1 hasn’t been confirmed, but they’ve revealed that it will be available for order on December 24th. Current speculation is that the price will be a little bit more than the standard pricing of the N1 which is sitting around $599 without contract for the 16GB version.

Samsung still hasn't announced what it would showcase at CES 2014 in Las Vegas, although it did suggest that we may see some innovative wearable devices.
A new tweet from Samsung Mobile UK from just moments ago seems to tease a new Galaxy Gear smartwatch. Alongside the question “What do you want Samsung to unveil in 2014?”, the tweet reveals an image that shows the 2013 Galaxy Gear on the left, and a blank space on the right, with a “What next?” question below it. Now, we can’t be certain of anything yet, but it looks more and more that a new Galaxy Gear is coming in the near future. On the other hand (no pun intended), we could see a completely new type of wearable accessory.
Sure enough, the original Galaxy Gear is only three months old, thus many do not see the point in having a new one so soon. However, since most of us do not find the first Galaxy Gear a worthy buy (check out our review of it for details), Samsung probably wants to do things right with a new-generation Android smartwatch.
CES 2014 debuts early next week, so we will see then if a new Galaxy Gear is indeed what this tweet is all about.

I opened it on a phone so I will comment only on the mobile interface. Probably all points would be the same for the desktop version as well.
1. Drop Times New Roman font from the links. You look like a cheap Chinese package. Try using only two different fonts throughout the website. At the moment you have 3-4.
2. Your logo is retro, in a bad way. That fort is suitable more to a Charleston dance school than an IT website.
3. With your own domain why not have a personalised email as well. [email protected] is really unprofessional.
4. The name irresistibly reminds me of the GSMarena. Why do you think you will survive in the shadow of that website and at least 3 others that offer exactly the same thing/product? What makes you different?
5. Those news that I've opened, it was fun reading them.
