[Q] Live wallpaper with battery level - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Hi,
Do anyone know is there any live wallpaper like mywater from Asus that able to work for 1 x?

sorry, I posted to wrong section.
- closed.

I'd be interested in this as well. I couldn't find anything comparable on the Play Store, however a user has extracted the actual My Water.apk from an ASUS device and posted it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1048959
However, it doesn't seem to install on my Rogers One XL. Maybe it will install on the One X, being that it's running Tegra like the ASUS tablets.

Seach in the XDA forums for Sony Xperia S' live wallpaper called "cosmic flow" it looks beautiful on the One X.

Yeah, I really dig that one. It does have a bit of that "Sony" feel to it, sorta reminds me of the PS3. I especially like the "swish" animation when you switch home screen panels.
I enjoy Earth Live Wallpaper (https://play.google.com/store/apps/...esult#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5zZWIuU0xXUCJd). It has tons of customization options, and seems to be fairly hi-res, hi-colour.
Keep 'em coming, I love the screen on this phone and I wanna make the best of it.

This is what a Live Wallpaper should look like!

I found this video earlier, now if the iPhone can do this I know our phone can. If it were this exact Live Wallpaper that would be sweet, I've told some developers if they make a Dragonball-z one they would make a lot of money.

Cool, but has to kill the hell out of the battery, especially the weak iPhone battery. But, cool!
Yeah...cool...but it's just a video running in the background isn't it? Plus, is the music part of it? LoL!?! Maybe just in a 'Show Off' your phone mode.
That is the lamest thing I've ever seen and judging from the content and his lock screen I'm pretty sure that person's a virgin who lives in their parent's basement.
Doesn't have crap on the amazingness that is the SenseUI live wallpaper.
I would not want that running the whole time my phone was on, I would have to have it charging all day, as innovative as that is not very realistic

Its just an example and it makes the Nexus One look bad since its doing way more than any of our live wallpapers do at the moment. Also the sound playing in the back ground is over kill and a complete waste of battery. Also is there an apk file with the sense live wallpaper for non-root users.

"way more than any of our live wallpapers do at the moment"?
Hmm... it's just a video playing in the background that you can not interact with.
N1 have wallpapers you can interact with by touching the screen, tilting the phone etc. Isn't that "way more" than a simple video?

Yeah your right but there aren't to many good ones right now. I would have thought there would have been maybe 100 by now but this one does beat most of them. Even thou it is a simple video if somebody made some like this I now people would like it. Now don't get me wrong this one doesn't have anything on the earth, matrix, and stars live wallpapers.

Oh my gawd, a video as a wallpapaer!!! So awesome, and revolutionary!! /sarcasm
That would be distracting, and annoying..
This is hideous.
Damn people calm down. Can you please post a link to a video showing a nexus one doing more things than an inferior 600mhz phone. The main thing we can say we have over the iCrap is our 1ghz processor that is so "powerful" we can have moving wallpapers. We all know the live wallpapers are just another way for Google to give Apple the middle finger lol.

Eh, there is an apk for non root users?? U sure it's the HTC Sense live wallpaper we are taking about?
The one on the other thread requires root access... so can you put up a link or something? Will be grateful.
Yeah I also want the link since the other guy said it was "awesome" and the only sense wallpaper I've seen is pretty simple.

What is this supposed to mean o_0
What are you trying to say?
And there is no apk for the Sense live wallpaper, because it requires pushing of .lib files to the system. Which cannot be done without root.
I am trying to praise the Nexus One but if somebody is going to be sarcastic maybe they can show me something more impressive. For example the sense wallpaper comment if its that good than at least put up a video showing it off. I hope this thread gets a lot of videos showing off cool wallpapers that we should see more of on android phones.

This is what playing a movie in the background should look like, not a live wall paper. There are plenty of very awesome live wallpapers available (tho I personally just use a static wallpaper as I personally see no point in it other then to be "flashy").
Trolling much?
try the anipet live wallpaper .. there are goldish swimming around and lily pads floating.. you can move the lilypads.. feed the fish, cause the water to ripple , and spook the fish..
there are awesome live wall papers, like seeds of life, who doesnt want little semen swimming around their home screen? and they interact with your finger touching
the N1 is still fairly new and so is the concept of interactive live wall papers, so i cant wait to see what comes of them

[Live Wallpaper] Xmas Goodies Live Wallpaper v1.2

I like the ShakethemAll! LWP, but thought it would be nice to have one made specifically for Christmas with different kinds of sprites. So I decided to make my own one.
Xmas Goodies live wallpaper features Christmas decorations falling down the screen using physics and accelerometer. It was just released 2 days ago, free of charge. I tried to make it simple and elegant. The goodies respond to accelerometer changes and touch. There will be more goodies and backgrounds in future release.
This is my first one. If you have any recommendation or bug report just let me know via my developer email. Screenshot and QR are in the attachments.
Version 1.3 released.
Included new Christmas-themed backgrounds and goodies.
Fixed minor bugs.
How to install live wallpapers when they're not yet installed on the phone? I have a Galaxy S and should be able to play live wallpapers, but I have no clue as to how to enable them when they're not in the regular live wallpaper section (isn't even visible).

Love this wallpaper. The first one to convince me to switch since Wakka Wallpaper
I had this on my MyTouch 4G Froyo and loved it. Now I have an LG G2X on Froyo, but it says it is not supported on my device. It worked on my Samsung Vibrant. Can you please check the apk file to see why it won't work now? I would really appreciate it. Thanks

I don't quite understand what you mean. You have to install the live wallpaper on the phone to make it available in the wallpaper list, o you can choose it. To install it just click on the apk, or if you download from the market it will install automatically.
Wow sorry just saw now the date of the post...lol

Nevermind, I downloaded it to my PC and then placed it in my dropbox and installed it from there and it worked. Whew, what a relief.. Love this wallpaper!
It would be cool if you made an all year round one like this. Maybe with little Android robots or Jewels or flowers or for men, tools, cars etc.

I believe this isn't just some flash able zip tweak. I think framework-res.apk needs to be decompiled and patched with this animation, and every ROM has a different framework-res. But I too am interested in this tweak.

Haha I've been trying to port us an LG ROM like a mofo!! I love their UI.
I'm really impressed with OEM skins these days. Just imagine one day where these firmwares will be desirable and stock android will be more of a guideline and less of "I must have stock just to live" situations. Until this device it was always
1. Get device
2. Root
3. Figure out how to get AOSP(cm10/aokp) running.
But I dream of when we can choose.. where every device ships with AOSP and on first boot you are greeted with an option of downloading a skin. After you log into Google play you can go to skin section and download any OEM skin (after paying the $19.99 one time fee of course ) then anyone could "develop" for whatever "skin" they want.
If you could pay 3.99 for HTC widgets on aosp with Sony walkman for .99 and the LG launcher for 1.99 wouldn't you? I mean Jesus the list goes on..
I say an .apk should work on an Android device... period. The only limitation should android version (can't be backwards compatible forever)
We get to do this for free kinda with custom roms but I think these companies should monetize their UIs and allow the user to choose with their money.
/rant
I got the news app working.. Lol
I have the framework apk from the Optimus G if someone wants to make it work on our device.

Sony Xperia Launcher and Media Apps

I wanted to share this with everyone. I've been seriously considering getting the new Xperia Z when it's released but wanted to get a feel for how a Sony device is laid out. So after a bit of searching I found this. I've tested everything and it all works perfectly on our Skyrockets. I'm running Mohans Embryo 6.2 and haven't had any issues at all. Just follow the instructions in the OP of each thread carefully and enjoy.
I take no credit for any work, simply sharing. Please, if you flash/install these share what ROM you're using and any issues you encounter. I will not be offering any support since I'm not the developer, direct legitimate issues to their appropriate threads. Thank you.

There really aren't issues since these apps have been built to operate on any system I actually replace trebuchet with Sony launcher on all my ROMs. Walkman app never had a problem and I love their weather widget.

Yeah the weather widget and clock are probably my favorite things about it. I love a simplistic look and Sony really nailed it with their launcher. Everything is so clean. I'm almost sold on the Xperia Z, but the Note 2 is so tempting lol

The z is a real contender in the market unlike all the Sony Ericson phones. Sony has been doing awesome work on their own and I love their entire user interface. The open xperia project has really given the entire modding community some great stuff.
