Hello,
Wondering if there is a good torrent app out there. Tried aBTC, but I dislike it, only one torrent at a time, and never finishes
. I'm not looking for one with remote.or anything just an app so I can download torrents directly to my phone.

I purchase dTor but error for validation, don't buy it.
And there is another torrent app but it's not on the market. It's name is AndTorrent.
You can find it in google code or blapk markek.
But don't instal on 1.6

I bought Swarm from the market. I uploaded a pic of a finished download.

Do you get decent speeds?

You should check out Transdroid and Torrent-fu, both free. I haven't tried them yet but they are supposed to be the best on the market.

Eh. It's okay. Max was 150 which is the most of my connection anyway.

Hey guys. I use torrent_fu works great. Its a manager for your pc at home. So right now I can see how my torrents are going and search for new ones and download. A little config is needed at the start however is worth it. As 4 downloading on your phone I don't think one exists, bandwidth etc... but eventually it'll be good enough

I've sent you a PM.

i would be intersted in trying this program if ne 1 has a version for o/s 1.6
I use torrent-fu too.
Brilliant program. Had to do some tinkering on u-torrent at home, but once you have this is ideal.
I setup a webserver and dynamic DNS on my home PC so I didn't have to change the IP address in the app, you can use a webserver and portnumber instead (one setup, then sorted)
Now I can check my downloads from everywhere
(only legal torrents, of course)
I bought Dtor and works like a charm for me.

BEST ONE FOR DIRECT DOWNLOAD TO PHONE IS "SWARM"
torrent fu only can manage your utorrent or some else on your pc or notebook...
I got Transdroid from here: http://www.callingallgeeks.org/3-free-and-user-friendly-torrent-clients-for-android/
transdroid is prob best easy to use but sum reason all i tried only seem to work when i am connected on wifi?
I upload a bunch of videos to youtube, and along with the very high quality of the video our phones produce, comes very large filesizes. The upload speed I get through my 4g connection is actually faster than my upload speed on wifi (i have crappy internet service).
So my question, is there anyway for me to force the uploader to work without using wifi?

YouTube app requires WiFi to upload. I tried using the desktop version of YouTube on the default browser as well as Mini Dolphin browser, but both force close on me.

Is there any way or application to improve the internet bandwidth of an android phone ? or is there an app where we can decide which apps to connect to internet at a specific time period ? please help !!
not yet...........
OMG !!

No app to stop apps from connecting... ??

Droidwall works well. You can't schedule times but it will let you decide which apps can connect on 3g and wifi

But it will not increase bandwidth right? Read the question..

it seems to be a hardware limitation. But in some cases can be improoved by customs roms, etc.
Normally it's already at max performance. Because of this, I haven't There are some apps, but I think they aren't really efficient.
I think it's easier to have a router firmware update than an app to improove wireless efficiency.
Hi All,
The HTC phones have an option called the "Internet Pass through" where in the PC Internet connection can be used for the handset by connecting through the USB.
Is it a hardware or a software feature?
If it is software, then will it be possible to apply the feature for the P920?
Network speeds are pathetic where i live (tried all networks, 2G as well as 3G) if Internet Pass Through feature was available, I could easily have high speed internet access for my handset!
Hope someone takes this up and include them as an add on or in the ROM itself.
I am sure this will be helpful to many.

Oh yeah I want to know that too.

HI,
Simple point. I dont have wireless broadband at home and I dont want to get wireless broadband at home coz there is a cyber cafe below my house and that guy is always trying to hack into all wifi connections available.
also, the aircel / mtnl / Uninor/ videocon/ airtel /BPL /idea / vodafone -- all have flop internet speeds. I have unlimited 2 Mbps broadband connection at home.
LGO3D does not support Internet Pass Through inherently like HTC. hence the need for the above link. I am sure there may be many more who want to use this feature.
this works extremely well when I have to download new roms / 3D games / movies etc.
thanks.

Does anyone know of an apparently that will do this? I want to limit my speed for watching videos so I don't hog our networks bandwidth. Something like netlimiter for the of. I'm surprised I can't find one as it would seem like a very useful app.
Thank you
