[Q] Ziio 7 factory reset on rooted system. - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Quick question,
A friend of mine rooted my Creative ziio 7 tablet and it now has android market (whereas pre root did not). I have given the tablet away to my dad but under 'Accounts & Sync' I am still logged in (my gmail). This was the same gmail account used when we rooted the device. If we remove my gmail account from the 'Accounts & Sync' section (2.2 froyo by the way) (so that my dad has a clean 'slate' ('slate' geddit? ho ho ho), its prompting that removal of my gmail account will 'factory reset' the device.
What will happen? Will we lose the root (and therefore google play store)?
Cheers,
Dunker

Now the button erase-data in "setting->....googleapps" is not present on android 2.1 then the procedure not possible to do!
i ask you if is possible delete a google-account on android 2.1 without a wipe?
I'm sorry for my bad english,I hope it is understandable!
thanks guys!
SETTINGS - ACCOUNTS & SYNC - long press your account under the MANAGE ACCOUNTS area. It will bring up your account sync options, and a Remove Account button.
Hope this answers your question.
not work...i already try this! thanks!
it wont work - it wont allow you to remove the first google account you added, at least mine wont. Your best bet is a factory reset, and then re-add your accounts. Mots stuff should be backed up and synced anyway...
Try this it works on the Moto Backflip to change the default gmail account. Any paid apps will ne linked to the gmail account that you used to purchase them with.

but phone must be rooted.

[Q] 3.1/2.3 Google account conflict?

This isn't directly a Xoom/3.1 issue, but it does impact it. I have a stock 3g Xoom running 3.1. My primary Google account is not @gmail.com, but my private domain (also not a Google Apps account.) This works fine with 3.x, my market and apps are tied to it, and with the advent of Google+, my contacts now work even though it's not a Gmail account.
Just got a new Sprint Photon 4G phone running 2.3/Gingerbread. When I try and register my Google account, it insists it be a @gmail.com account. So far, I haven't found a way to connect it to my existing Google account/Marketplace.
Any suggestions on how to resolve this, without losing everything (purchased apps, Google+ registration, Google Talk registration, Xoom configuration, ...) associated with my existing account?
Thanks for any pointers/suggestions!
eric
Heard back from Google - it's an issue with the version of Market built into 2.3. Later builds (like what is in honeycomb) don't have the restriction.
For anyone having the same issue, on my 2.3 device, I went ahead and created a gmail account for my existing Google account, and nothing seems to have blown up. The Xoom still sees the market and everything else correctly with my non @gmail.com address, and the 2.3 phone also sees everything, using the new gmail.com address.

[SOLVED] Problem with google account after upgrade to Google Play

Hello,
My girlfriend's Desire S got the upgrade to Google Play market but it doesn't work anymore. I also tried to remove the upgrade but the issue is still present.
This is strange because I have the Desire S too, with the same ROM and configuration, but I didn't have such problem with the market that has been flawlessly upgraded.
The problem is that when I launch Google Play, or the Market 3.4.4 after the downgrade, it asks for a new Gmail account.
Something like: "To continue you have to add an account to the device. Add one now?" (Yes or No).
Of course if I say No, the Market quits.
If I answer Yes, it prompts for a new Google Account setup (note that the google account is already set up). Then I tap on Access (I already have an account and I don't want to create a new one) and once I try to login with my account it says that the account is already present on the device.
At this point I don't know what to do.
Already tried to reboot the phone and to clear data into Settings->Applications->Manage Applications->Market. But still no success.
What to do?
I've also cleaned the dalvik cache but nothing.
EDIT: Sorry, but I found out that my girlfriend made a wrong PDroid configuration, disabling all permissions to the Marked. I reinstalled the 3.4.7 Google Play version and now all works good.
I hope this could help someone else.

Samsung RUGBY (Red & Black)

I am attempting to unroot the phone. I think I have it done, however, I am having troubles with setting up my Gmail Account and my Samsung Accounts to Update the Phone. Am I missing something?
It has the Original "Marketplace" and can not update to the Google Playstore (unable to setup Account) to have this installed.
I am at a loss as to what I need to do to correct this. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Nougat contacts sync issue

Hi everyone,
I'm in CA and I just got EMUI 5.0 update. The update went fine and I like Nougat, however I have a problem with the "Contacts" app.
Our company uses G Suites (AKA Google Apps) and I used to be able to see all employees in the company (Company Directory) from the Contacts app. After the upgrade I can no longer see these contacts anymore. I checked settings of Contacts app and couldn't find anyway to turn on Directory.
Any help is appreciated!
Just make sure that it is sync within Google account or heck to see if contact app has permission to allow...
