You can't change the name of the kernel.the dev chooses the name of kernel in the beginning of making that kernel.if you want custom name then make a kernel youself.and kernel name is not related to updater script in any way.
To make your own kernel search the dev section.
I gave you a link before!!

As he flashes the CWM package..... The phone doesn't boot!
He is on 2.3.4!
I read thread of CWM, the dev said tht it supports non rts or rfl(maybe ) roms!
Can u please give me step to step installation of CWM!
N he flashes the package by stock recovery!

He sud flash CWM through odin !!
Download cwm put beni.ops in ops file . Click one package file nw select da odr file from one package !
Put fone in download mode and start the process . Wait for 2 mins n phn will reboot . That's it u r done

I tried many guides to cook a custom rom but having a big problem that I can't solve it
Every time I can cook the rom successfully and I flash it via CWM It shows that it has completed flashing but nothing happens to phone
I mean that there's no change as I haven't flashed any rom
I don't know where's the problem I used a stock RFS rom as a base to edit and tried the stock kernel once and CM kernel in another try.
I tried meta-inf and updater script from cm rom and many custom and stock roms but nothing happens and still facing error during flashing or no change after flashing
Please help me and thanks in.advance

Dude its simple go to dev section, download the cf-root kernel, combine it with your rom, see if there is any fc.....simple....cf-root is a kernel in dev section not a rom....:sly:

Just what I said buddy. You have to keep you eagle eye opened. check the below mentioned ROM line:
Neo ROM based on ICS 4.0.4.
We haven't received NEO ROM for 4.0.4(ICS). thats DEODEXED rom of Pankaj..please change the Name buddy..

Dont think so buddy. as per discussion with pankaj, he denied to make NEOROM over 4.0.4(ICS) for next three months.. Thats Deodexed version of ICS but dont think so that is NeoROM..??

I wont give any name to that rom which is made by a dev and also i already mentioned that kindly change that who had made that link on the name of neo rom(ICS). Coz that is Deodexed rom of pankaj of XXLQ3. bt yes can give name of Deodexed Rom by pankaj.

Me too. started making it.. but stopped at d libgralloc nd telephony ... framework/base/telephony : err at com.android.............. i wl b very glad if its fixed...

i m goin to upload my source at github soon ... n its actually a port for time being but i m doin my work with source so when i release beta-1 at that moment i will create a thread at original development .. so till then have patience :good:
