[Q] Custom Roms compatible with Xoom Family Edition? - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was wondering if custom roms found in development forum are compatible with a rooted Xoom family edition.
Thanks

Nope. Xoom FE is different hardware and not bootloader unlocked.

Since this post has been moved to the proper section now.
Still no sights of any Developer who might be interested in porting a ROM from Xoom 2. or it is not possible at all.
Have searched XDA and google.. cant seem to find anything relevant
Please redirect me if any information

New to the phone

So i just got an I757M from bell in Canada. I did some searching and found that its the "Skyrocket" (a cancelled order for AT&T that ended up in Bell's lineup), so I wound up here. Am I in the right forum? If someone could just tell me if the ROMs here are compatible, that would be awesome. There are way too many variants of this S2!
Thanks

If it is truly numbered 757 then it's not a skyrocket and no, skyrocket ROMs probably will brick your phone.

It's Galaxy S2 HD LTE, similar to SkyRocket but with HD screen.
There are few threads for it in the original i9100 section, like the one below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1707126
This device doesn't have its own support forum.
It's similar to i727, having the same SoC base, so you might get i727 ROM to boot and adapt it for the resolution. But it's anything but simple.
There is a cm10 Rom specifically for the i757m. The op is dsixda. I found it by googling galaxy i757m.

[Q] Verizon Xoom IMG files?

I've been looking on the Motorola Developer site and I can't seem to find the site where Motorola hosted all the IMG files. Does anyone know where they are? I'm trying to get back to stock on my LTE Xoom.
Google hosts the Factory Xoom images since it's a GED.
The Verizon version?

But the op in that thread linked images for mz600 & mz602 (verizon xooms). Hope that helps.

[Q] Roms etc.

I recently purchased the galaxy s3 and am quite happy with it, put adw launcher pro made a few tweaks got the jellybean update and am satisfied with everything it does.
My question is what is the need for flashing new Roms or rooting the device? What is the purpose and benefits?
I'm new to all of this and would love some briefing!

Modaco switch. Run stock Google rom

Hey everyone!
What is the consensus on something like this?
It is called MoDaCo.SWITCH and it allows touch wiz to be run with the ability to boot with a stock android rom.
I can't post a link due to xda forum rules because I am a new user, but just search modaco switch for Samsung Galaxy s4.
Thanks fellas
Edit: also BGR is where I found the article and apparently this developer created this app from an indiegogo campaign if I heard correctly in his video.

Yeah I am trying to get it ran on mine issue is that its an international and doesn't come with the Loki kernel and Loki patch doesn't work but you can flash your own kernel. I had backed it on indiegogo and I have it ATM. Trying to figure out how to install a different rom as well. But its only in beta and unless you donated you can't get it until official release.
