I already wrote somewhere that for the battery is good remove battery about 5 minutes. You need to install a Battery Calibration, charge the battery until the end, open the Battery Calibration, follow the instructions, get out of it and turn off the charger.
Battery Calibration is recommended to use 2-3 times per year. Not more.

I am too facing battery problem after flashing custom Roms...

i want to mention here that if you want to use cyanogenmod but facing fast battery draining problems..then TJ_styles cyanogenmod 7.2 rc1 is best for use...i actually got surprised by its wonderful battery performance...just want to say thanks to TJ_style..superb ROM

If uvare that much confused just enable patternlock.. It shows the exact percantage of battery when u put on charging bro.. Or else remove it when u get a green notification icon showing 100 percent bro

Battery staying at 100% and not coming down

I just got my Gtab that I ordered from ebay in the mail yesterday.
The guy already had clockwork recovery installed and TNT, but I wanted Vegan, so I went through the steps and installed Vegan 5.1, let it boot, and then rebooted and installed the supplement 5.1.1.
The thing works great (except I can't get any market fix to work, but I'm just gonna use titanium backup to get the apps from my phone for now).
But the thing that's really bothering me is that the battery level is staying at 100%. It's not going down at all. The GTab died overnight, and it wouldn't even power on, so the battery was dead.
I plugged it in, and turned it on, and it's showing as 100%!! When I goto settings>about phone>status it force closes. Every time. Using spare parts and looking at battery history it says there is no history to display, and in battery info it says battery is at 100% but says it's charging.
I'm really confused. Do I have a dud battery? Please help as if this is a hardware/ bad battery problem I'd like to tell the guy on Ebay that I want a refund.
Does the charging light come on red, and go to green after it's charged?
You might try wiping battery stats with Clockworkmod, and see it that helps.

Same thing happens on my Gtab. Battery meter always shows 100%.
I know that the battery is not 100% full because when I plugged it in, the LED light is red and after a while it turned green.
I will try your suggestion tonight when I get home.

Yes, the battery light indicator seems to work fine. It is red, and then eventually turns green. But I'm a little worried, how long should I be expecting a good battery to last with brightness pretty low (around 15%) and just doing some browsing? I was guessing 8-9 hours.

I haven't tried to drain the battery. I always use it for a few hrs then plug it in.
Does any body know how to fix this problem?
thanks.
Try to drain it all the way, then plug it in and immediately reset battery stats.
Reboot and charge all the way ( green light)

I tried this but it still doesn't seem to work right. After following your suggestion, I used my gtab to browse the web. After about 1hr of browsing, the battery status changed to 97%. It does not seem right to me. Btw, my lcd brightness is set at 50%.
Or is the gtab battery that good?

Haha, yes! I get at least 20 hours with moderate use. On standby, it seems to last forever.

They are threads here on how to correct - usually draining the battery and then resetting the battery status on clockworkmod.
It's really not "Stuck" at 100% - the battery meter is probably off so it's maxing out at 110%, so your device just says "100%" all the time. What eventually happens is that 110 drops below 100, and then your device will show 99, 98 etc. I had this issue on my original GTAB.
I had this and first total drain didn't work but 2nd time I just made sure it was not sleeping when it shut down from low battery.

[Q] Power Issue.. Please Help!

Hi all,
There's this problem with my phone that everytime I charge it, it takes an elongated time to do so. This issue first emerged when I was on stock GB after a minor OTA update which added the power saver toggle to the quick settings menu..The problem is that it takes about 4-5 hours to fully charge the phone, and if I rebooted in the middle of charging when it's about 70% or 80%, it suddenly shows that the phone is fully charged, and the indicator becomes green! But afterwards the battery drains as quickly!
Now I have S-Off and using ARHD 6.6.3 ROM, but it seems the problem persists ..I wiped battery stats as soon as I flashed the ROM as well..Although it's not a problem I cannot live with, it's annoying enough when it happens.
Can someone please help me? And suggest me what to do?

its common thing...the battery calibration is not proper that's all...
also you need to wipe stats once you charge your phone to 100%
then battery will try to calibrate ...and after 3-4 full complete cycles (100-0 and 0-100)
the battery will settle..
the battery drain will be there ...whenever you flash a rom or flash a kernel....battery only settles atleast after 2 full cycles
EDIT: also download currentwidget from market..as the name says its a widget..so you will see it in widgets once you installed it...this will give you more proper reading of battery...when you plug your phone to charge...and when current widget reads 0mah then your battery is charged completely...(it might take a long time to read 0mah...but charge it until you see 0mah)..then wipe the battery stats...so after this battery calibration will be proper
Also the sudden jump of battery percentage is due to improper battery calibration
so dont worry you got no problem
So
I read somewhere that you are not supposed to let the phone go to zero because it could cause your phone to not power back on anymore..is this fact. I couldn't find where I read it to back and read again. Mine has been doing some weird things as well...the led turns green before it is 100% and it goes from 100% and drops to like 89% out of no where.

when i meant 100%-0% means until your phone turns off due to less power..it might not(or won't be) be 0% then
as i told you that kind of jumps are common ...in my case it went to 60% to 100% when i rebooted ...also the dropping used to be in large scale too

I bought new battery a week back...
And I can't reach 100% charge on it...ever...
88 is max, when plugged in...the batt indicator refuses to go above...
If I do the same with my old batt, it reaches 100 (but drains out quickly, which is why I changed)...

Ya...forgot to mention about the "gigadrain" when battery reaches 100% and u unplug the charger!
I barely got 4hours from 100-0, on 2g, screen at 25%...silent+vibration...stock max and min with smartassv2 and noop/sio...
Go launcher...sync off, with maps and gmail frozen...Fb update every hour, k9 checks three email accs every 4hours...whatsapp always on...
A few passive widgets, and no live wallpaper...
(My usual default setup irrespective of rom)
Now I get a total of ~12hrs
Typed using a small touchscreen
Well i've never had that problems...
I've read in some threads (forgot where), that after flash new Rom we better take off the battery from our phone for about 5 minutes (besides calibrate the battery)...
Than just charge it as usual..
And my battery is working fine...

Try to delete the batterystats.bin
Hi,
did you try to delete the batterystats.bin?
This file is located at /data/system .
When you delete this file, the batterypercentage will be resetted.
Then you must fully discharge the battery and charge it overnight.
Now Android is going to make a clear batterystats.bin .
Sorry, my english is not so good.
greetings,

[Q] Battery is dying multiple times a day, need help!

Hello everybody!
My HTC Sensation is acting kind of weird the last few weeks.
It all began when i flashed CM 9 on it. It worked great, but pressing both the volume button would cause it to crash, so i flashed CM10 (kang) to it.
Now what happened at CM9 already was that it would just turn itself off at some points. During browsing, or taking a picture, Or just sitting in my pocket.
I had a almost full battery at that time(about 70%+) and it just went dead, reboot would give me 1% left. In CM10 the same problem happens. This time i took screenshots of the battery management screen, i included them in the attachments.
I wiped battery stats even tough it is a myth but could always try it. Did not fixed this.
Now the funny thing is when i reboot the device and it says it has only 25% left of charge. It reboots and BAM i have 75%, Reboot it once more and i lost 10%, rebooted again and it kind of stabilized. Now i have it on the charger and i am watching it, the LED on top stays on orange for about 2 seconds, then turns to screen for 1 second and then it turns of. then it just cycles trough the same again.
I hope i am making myself a bit clear about this and i will answer all questions i might have left out that are important.
Please help me because i cannot trust this phone anymore, it dies without warning and i have to boot it to find myself stranded with 1% left (which ironically can last for hours if the phone doesn't die).
PS. I included 3 screenshots. The first 2 are from when it died 2 times, as you can see the dips.
The last one is when i rebooted it and it gained allot of percentage.
Thanks in advanced
Skippy
Have you checked to see it if you have any wake locks? You can check with better battery stats apk. Also might be time for a new battery. You can get a good extended battery like anker for under 20 dollars,. My stock battery life was so bad, changed it to extended battery now it's really made a difference!
Hi,
I recommend you to see if you have any wakeclocks (Check via BetterBatteryStats)
You might have a bad flash. Check MD5 of ROM/Kernel
Check your running applications.
Let your newly installed ROM settle down for a few battery cycles.
But in your case, maybe a new battery?
I moved before few days from stock ROM to Bruces CM10 from 14.11. and have battery problems too. It drains to fast ROM is pretty stable, but with this battery life, I can hardly use it... Now I am on battery only for 10h 26min, display was ON for only 1h 55min and I am on 17% with battery... Something is bad

In addition to that, I realized that the battery level could be significantly different from one boot to another : Phone show 41%, I reboot then it show 57%...

[Q] Battery Weird Prob....Pls someone help

Hi,
I am using WalkmanSense ROM....Everything was smooth and awsomm..until i flashed ACID audio mod..
I donno clearly...it's because of that mod or not but this problem started after that...I wanted to try that Mod even though it wont work for Sense ROMS..
Here's the problem..."BATTERY"
When i put my mobile in charging ...the charging animation showing only 0% and 100% while charging ...no 10,20,30 etc...And when it's showing 100% i'm unplugging the cable...then it's suddenly dropping to 0% and switch off happens:crying:
Finally i found that "I can use my mobile ..only when it is connected to charger...and when i unplug it will be dead off in short time"
More problems with this....
Now my mobile staying live only for 5 min max, when i unplug it,,THEN HOW CAN I go to RECOVERY and do NANDBACKUP ?? so that i can flash new ROM,,,but when i go in HBOOT it's showing "Battery voltage is low..pls change the battery"...
And one doubt I have--- Batterystats control only displaying the charging %s or do they control battery whether to charge or not??
What to do?? Pls help
Thanx in advance....

I think your battery has gone dead! try changing it with a new original battery but if your battery is in fine condition try checking the phone from HTC Service center or anyother that provides mobile repairing services etc. Only to go those service shops who are well aware :good:
Might be an I.C fault of your phone causing it doing retarded things!
