Vibration when call is answered - Motorola Atrix 2

Sent from my MB865 using XDA and typing with my toes
Does anyone know how to turn off the annoying vibration when a called number answers? Searched everywhere, but can't find any answer for the atrix 2.

I never knew there was such a feature....Go into settings/call settings and see if HAC mode in enabled. If so, turn it off and see if that does it.

Nope, tried that and no go, also turned off haptic feedback and any vibration mode I could find, but, still has it. I saw in other brands of phones forums, that on their phone it was a feature for butt dial notification and couldn't be shut off.

I can't call it bro, I've had my Atrix 2 since October and never noticed that

OK, thanks......just really annoying on both ends of the phone call, just have to use BT more often, won't do it in that mode.

That is really odd... Never noticed it. There might be some string in build.prop that could shut it off.

I looked in there, but doesn't seem to be anything in string that could be it....unless I'm missing something. I had to restore phone after playing around with a rom and soft bricked it( didn't have CWM on boot) so that might have something to do with it.

Found the culprit....nq security had an option to vibrate phone when call was answered, stated so you could keep phone away from head during the ringing because of higher radiation levels. Thanks for the responses.

[Q] Speakerphone activated when in a call

Every time I make/receive a call, the speakerphone is activated. I need to de-activate it before I start talking. I've looked through the settings and can't seem to find how to disable the speakerphone.
Anyone else have this problem? Can anyone help?
Settings>Sound>Flip for speaker..
Uncheck the box hehe it got to me too but found it and is now disabled..

Mine was doing this too. I had to turn it off and pull the battery. That solved the problem and it hasn't come back.
Thanks. I unchecked the box and restarted but it didn't fix the problem. That's why I posted the thread.
After shutting it down, then removing the battery, it worked. Such a pain to change this setting. Not to mention the dumb battery door design. Might just return this phone when the Matrix is released.

I am having the same problem. DId you fix it?
Faced the same issue on some ROMs. Changing to a different ROM (Android Revolution and Gingerbeast) worked for me.
^^^ +1 what he said. Different roms had different reactions.

[Q] Vibration doesn't work

So i've had my Nexus S for a little over a month now, and this morning when I woke up, the phone doesn't vibrate at all anymore. It shouldn't just be a setting because I've rebooted, played with the haptic feedbacks, played with the alarm, etc etc. Nothing works.
Has anyone else had this problem? Did the vibration on my phone just die? I've searched through XDA, and some people have had vibration issues, but only when receiving sms.
(I'm stock everything > locked, unrooted, stock rom)
Hoping someone knows a fix. Thanks in advance!!

Don't worry, juat wipe everything....hold power and vol.up....after you know what to do
Sigh. I was hoping it wouldn't have to come to that. I will try a full wipe and restore it this weekend and get back to you. Thanks so much for your help!!

Its gonna work trust me.
This may sound stupid, and maybe you've already checked, but under your sound settings is the vibrate set to always? I have things mysteriously uncheck themselves from time to time.. other than that, sadly, wiping would be the way to go..
So I haven't wiped yet because I was working all day but the vibrating came back on it's own for a while. Then it stopped again and now it's back again. Is this a bug? I will wipe this weekend to see it it will fix it completely.
Also, I've checked the settings and ok pretty sure it's set to always vibrate.

OFF-TOPIC
I remember long ago i had sony ericsson i500 (i think) and it had the same problem but one day it broke so i opened it and found out that the cable connecting the "motherboard" to the vibrator wasnt connected properly , you may have the same problem.

Keyboard lag

Has anybody been able to get rid of the keyboard lag that sometimes plagues this phone? Especially when texting

I turned off the popup on keypress. It helps but it still lags. It seems worse when the message I'm typing starts getting longer.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
I thought I was the only one having keyboard lag (among the screen not being always the most responsive). It's ridiculous especially when I factor in the random reboots (most of the time I have to pull the battery for it to respond, and the last reboot cause my phone to COMPLETELY reset...as in I had to set up everything again as if it was the first time I turned the phone on), and how it takes 2/3 seconds for the lock screen to kick in (when I press the power button to wake my phone it shows the screen I was last on before the screen locked) -- which might not be a huge issue for some, but I've never had this issue with any of my other phones, and the low ringer volume which really irritates me.
I have bleeding but it's nothing to noticeable and doesn't bother me right now because I dont really ever notice it.
I should receive a new one tomorrow and I'm hoping none of these issues are there
--- BTW, sorry for kind of going off topic. I apologize, meant no harm.
Yeah you are correct, the longer the message is, the worse it gets
I believe that I read that its a kernel issue
And to the above, what reason did I give them in order for them to trade it out?

I told the rep about the 4 reboots I had since I got the phone...which was 3 days before I called in, and how the last reboot seemingly wiped my phone and had me log in all my information as if it was the first timed I'd ever turned it on.
The rep told me I was his 3rd call that day for this issue but there were no notes on their system about problems with the phone or any updates to correct the issue(s)...needless to say, he sent me out a new one.
I will be getting it today. Hope it doesn't reboot. The bleeding I can deal with in all honesty, but if it reboots and the volume is as low as it is on my phone now I will have to return it for good and get another phone...and I don't want too.
Can you change the title of this thread to reference the gingerbread builds. Just so people don't get confused. This only applies to the leak gb and roms using it.

Speakerphone now automatically on?

I've had this phone since the end of Feb and it has never done this. This past weekend, my wife and I, were over at a friends house and we kept getting pestered on my phone by an idiot who wanted to start stuff with us. Point is, during that time my phone was passed to 3 ppl besides my wife and I. One of them, not my wife, pushed something and now all calls are through the speaker. Do any of you know how to keep the speaker from coming on everytime I make or receive a call or where the setting is to keep it from doing that? My phone is bone stock and non rooted. I have searched, read the manual cover to cover, and looked through all the settings with no answer. It is extremely annoying to have to shut the speaker off everytime I go to make or receive a phone call. Prior to this weekend it was never like that. Any help to resolve this will be much appreciated.

You could try emailing the HTC support site. They resolved a similar issue with me in a day, in that case it was volume always at max during a call when I had a head set on with no volume control, along with a strange status icon. I had inadvertently selected a buried setting that is for the hearing impaired. No one on this forum helped after two days so gave HTC a shot at it, and they came through.
Ok, Kool. I'll try that, thanx.

Called HTC and they wanted me to factory reset my phone. I told them I couldn't do it right then and would do it later in the evening. They said before I got off the phone with them, if a reset didn't work to call warranty and get it exchanged. Well, before I could perform the reset, my phone surprisingly stopped doing it. Dunno what corrected it but was glad it was gone. A couple days later, it returned for only 3 phone calls. What I figured out was that it is connected with the car panel app. You need to use an app like Watchdog, which I got the free paid version when it was the daily freebie from Amazon, find the Car Panel process and "kill" it and it will stop. When you close it out it just goes to the backround. You need to close the process to get it to stop. I am gonna call HTC back and let them know how I corrected it, so people who dont come to forums like this one and calls HTC they have a solution other than a factory reset.

[Q] SMS Notification Lag... UGH!?!? HELP!!!

Hey guys, for anyone that can shed some light upon me on what's going on with my phone would greatly help. Basically, receiving any kind of text message at any time the sound skips/lags/stutters 80% of the time. Its SUPER annoying. I have searched and searched and searched for a solution but cannot find anything. It may be because of the verbiage I am using. I'm not sure. I am on my replacement S3, the first one did it. I got this one, tested it before rooting it, still issue, BRAND NEW NON-ROOTED PHONE! Rooted, tested several ROMS, several notifications, stock/custom, even third party notification managers like LightFlow. Even my girl's virgin S3 has the issue. It really seems like a known issue from my end but NOONE posts about this! I dont know what to do........ Please help someone. Thanks in advance.
I dont have that issue nor have I ever heard of it. Are you using a downloaded sms app or running your own mp3 for a notification?
I don't have that issue. Are u sure light flow isn't messing it up? Clear data on the app and uninstall it. My light works just fine.

Normally, what I prefer to use is LightFlow with custom notifications downloaded from the Zedge app. I will try again to only use default ringtones and also disable LightFlow to see what happens. But guys, this doesn't make any sense. I experienced this issue out the box twice, with nothing extra on the software. I am an advanced user modding and troubleshooting for years. I even work for Verizon as Technical Support Coordinator, but this is literally the first issue I have ever experienced in Android that I just cannot figure out.
I did find a similar issue people are facing which pertains to ringtones cutting off short, not finishing, vibrating until the immediate cut off period. The conclusion to that was supposedly a known issue Samsung needs to correct. But most people don't experience. Which drives me insane!
As I typed this my phone reached the low battery mark and notified me with that low battery sound. THAT JUST LAGGED TOO!!! UGH!! I don't know guys.

I'm using the default text messaging app with notifications turned on, default ringtone silent, vibrate never so that the LightFlow app can take over
