[request] over all - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Dear Friends of the best Developers forum i have ever seen.
Let me come to the point, i would like to start this topic for Samsung Nexus S
- Please replay to this topic by suggesting which ROM is the over all best for Samsung Nexus S, When you are placing your knowledge please take another mint or so to explain why you think it is the best.
Example: NEXUS [ROM] NAME
is good because, its faster and uses less battery. It doesn't contain too my apps, but it has supercharger V6 to kick it power as well as the CPU unlock-er to over clock the cpu for extreme performance.
LOOK:::: its has (nexsus s) theme, that has... blue numerical pads with tweaked ICONS with page animations.
Please insert screen shoot as you replay..
---- reason to start this topic--- i want to help the new comers and let them know which is the best and they may spreed our words even more

Let me help you out.
Aokp b33 is very good when paired with Trinity T11 kernel. Extremely smooth and fluid. Battery life is great and performance is solid. GTA3 gameplay is great.
Here are screenshots of battery performance.

well .. i just saw it
don't embarrass me !
Lol just having a bit of fun mate, dont take it seriously!
Been using this for more than a month now... absolute gorgeous and plays exceptional well with S2 series and new icontact.
Highly recommended.
1.02 was so much better in every way....
I still use it since like.. january!
awesome app, just a sad evolution to 1.5....
I guess it depends on phone/rom etc.
1.02 locked up everytime I use the currently running function which forced me to use another task manager.
1.02 also gets closed by the "OK" button when I used HButton + HTC x-button.
These two are the major annoyances which stopped me from using 1.02.
1.51 has all that fixed and the built-in contacts is also kinda cool.
I think the earlier version was much better looking
.... and it doesn't work on my G900 (which has a high res screen (800x480(?)).

Lite Rom v2. I use quick setting and turn off auto sync and mobile network when not needed. And add two hours to that time. I had a reboot and it took two hours off.

In theory, having a more "lightweight" ROM with less processes in the background should use less battery. But kernel and radio have as much (if not more) to do with battery life than just the "style" of ROM. In particular, if the radio you are on is not the optimal for your location, it may drain your battery much more than anything else. And there are so many other variables that determine battery life. Its best you do some trial and error on your own to figure out what ROM, kernel, radio gives you the best battery vs. performance vs. features for your own particular needs.

Hi,
years of hard development work has come to this. We are proud to present our latest mod, TYST4K.
ABOUT
Our Teichoscopic Rectiserial Odophone Libeccio Loxophthalmus makes this possible. We've done our research and we have years of experience in screen technology and development. We're currently negotiating with the "big boys" to get our work to wider audience, but you'll get this early because we love XDA and its community! Makes your device's resolution 4K (2160p)!
INSTALLATION
Download our script from attachments and place it in the root of your SD card. Reboot and voilà!
What else can we say? Enjoy your new 4K screen, no need to update your phone for at least a year! Also don't be worried, our technology is so efficient that your phone won't lag at all:good: Next we're going to start developing 8K but until then, be sure to leave a "thanks" if you're currently bragging about this to your friends and they're looking at you amazed!
reserved xD
Nice April fools !!

I would recommend rastakat the latest version if you want something with very few customizations and very fast fluid ui, pair it with Franco or linear kernel for amazing battery life and performance. I'm currently running it with linear 2.8 and its great [emoji2].
If you want a ROM with a lot of customizations go for madhi, purity, or carbon I would recommend.
Or you can always go to the old reliable cm11 which has just the right amount of customizations including themes .
You can always try ROMs out with multirom to see the ROMs that you like and can pick which one you want to run as a DailyDriver or be a flashoholic and flash every few hours xD. Hope this helped you and sorry for all the reading have fun in the world of rooting
We do not allow threads asking for suggestions on ROMs. The question is subjective, best advice is to head over to the development section try some out and see which best suits your needs. Also questions should be posted in Q&A not general.
