This is ONLY for the official stock 2.3.4 LG ROM that introduced the new March 2012 baseband!!
I repeat, DO NOT FLASH ON ANYTHING ELSE.
Ok so since my real first porting of a theme (which was a little of a disaster in my opinion...) I've gotten a lot better/smarter.
This port is probably going to be the final. There's honestly nothing wrong with it so far that I can tell.
I might change the drop down menu background to something else maybe. For some reason, even if you use a transparent image... it still isn't transparent for me.
I just kind of grabbed some random image for the background and used it... it was supposed to repeat itself and just kind of scaled... and doesn't look too bad in my opinion.
How to install:
Download the attachment to SD card
Boot into CWM
(Optional) Create a backup in case of boot loop
Flash the zip
Reboot device
There is no need to wipe cache or dalvik or any of that nonsense. I NEVER do, but you can if you're paranoid enough.
Known Issues:
None.
Notes:
I disabled the overscroll glow. I just personally do not like it and it tends to make the device lag when it appears.
I didn't do any .xml changes so no colors should be ugly on certain other windows/frames.
The font in my screenshots will NOT be applied to your phone; that is the font I use and it is not included in the theme.
SOLUTION IF YOUR PHONE BOOT LOOPS
If your phone bootloops it means you dirty flashed 2.3.4 onto your device which means you were on 2.3.3, then you upgraded to 2.3.4 via LG Update tool, and then tried to flash this theme.
So what you have to do (and SHOULD do anyway) is download the rooted 2.3.4 stock ROM (thanks to kwes) and do a fresh install of it (wipe data/factory reset and format /system) then this theme will work 100%.

I don't consider myself a themer, and especially not a developer. You have to ask a real developer to edit stuff to get those things.

I don't know what could have gone wrong. Nothing is wrong with my .zip. No one else is having problems nor getting any bootloops.
It's possible you got a bad download of the file. Try re-downloading it again and flashing.

OP has been updated with 2 different batteries: the circular battery by request, and the CM7 battery with the number and little bar on the right side of it.
Hey man i've loved it, can you add the CRT on and off animation, please? I want it cus the stock one when you press the button to turn screen on shows the previous screen that I was before and then go to lock screen(very fast), know what i'm saying? That's annoying, thanks for the theme!!

Thank you and yeah I know what you mean.
I've stated before that I'm not a developer, nor am I a themer; I just simply port over stuff.
I would love to have the screen off animation, and quick toggles as seen in weapon and bionix, but I don't even know the beginning stuff. I'd have to do a lot, lot of reading and experimenting... which I may do one day but work keeps me pretty busy.
By the time I learn anything worthwhile I'm sure a developer would have already made a custom ROM out of this and did all that stuff .
Believe me, I want all that neat stuff too.
Yeeeeah, I've stopped using ics roms because of little things like that, I love when the rom works smooth and fast, it would be awesome if any developer did the crt on and off animation work here, I'm missing the toggles too

Anyone running the GB leak OR EaglesBlood 1.0.2/1.0.3 on their G2X can flash my Accurate Battery Mod done in the GB green for GB leak or Blue for the EaglesBlood versions!
You will notice the battery itself is a rather stock looking circle battery... The special touch here was done to the charging animation... Its now totally complete and extremely smooth no matter at what point in your battery status you are charging from!
This is the first of many touches i will make to the G2X look... But its something i know a lot of folks like to have... So, have at it boys and girls...
Both can be flashed via CWR!

I read the update and thought it was good to go but then read another Guys post and the reply and think there may be a mistake... the opening post states there's one for EB... IV confirmed it makes the SBar disapear. Thanks for your work! Much love to the dev's for pushing out cool stuff for us! Can't wait to see it working correctly!
P.s. is there a way to undo without having to apply my nandroid? Thanks!

This is the downside of pushing a mod for a rom i dont run... Sorry it didnt work!
You could make a flash zip with the stock framework... Just flash that rather then doing a nandroid... =)

Is there a way to get the power controls added to the notification shade if using the stock GB OTA? I've looked and can't seem to find an App or mod specifically for that.
I've found threads about changing the colors and mostly it's people modding the pngs for it via the system?.apk file but I'm not sure how one would add tat, or if we could, say, take the system.apk from a rom that has it already such as Weapon g2x and just drop that on a Stock rooted OTA?
Any idea's or methods I'm just not aware of?
there's an app called "StatusBar+" in the market that has the ability to add power control widget buttons or w/e in the notification bar on non rooted phones....if thats what you're meaning?

if that app doesnt work, then the only other way is flashing a custom rom! I think u should just root the phone if u havent already, its nearly impossible to brick the thing unless ur completely unfamiliar with it, but even then, its damn hard! There's a ton of awesome roms with the notification widgets
Yeah my phone is rooted. I'm currently using EB 2.3.3 1.07 which I believe is one of the most stable roms... I just wish there was a way to add that feature (power control bar to the notification bar) to this rom without having to flash a different rom or theme...

Could I just take the Systemui.apk file from one of the Weapon2.5 themes and replace my current Systemui.apk file?
I'm thinking it won't work because I'm on EB 2.3.3 1.07, there may be some other files missing from this rom that I might need??

EB already has that....settings --> Cyanogenmod settings -->Interface --> Notification Power Widget
from my themeing experience of weapon and vibrant roms I think its a combination of frameres and systemui. I could be wrong but if it was me id ask a dev who has it in their ROM already it could greatly ease the method to achieve the desired effect.

Well I will take your advice... I see you are the maker of the Precision theme for Weapons... It looks pretty sweet..
Will you be making this theme for Eagle Blood 2.3.3 (v1.07+)? Or better yet does this theme work with EB already?
FYI... It was your theme that I was going to try and use the systemui.apk file...
I have no idea if it will work on eb or not. Im currently working on a few things, but might be able to port it soon.

I believe he's talking about EaglesBlood 2.3.3, not 2.3.5.
The notification power widgets on gingerbread roms are in the SystemUI.apk. The problem is, unless you are really snuggly with linux, java, and the sdk, your chances of coding your own are weak.
However, if you have a rom available to you from the same android and phone versions, you have a good shot at getting it to work, as with weapons systemui on eb 2.3.3.

I have 1/3 lol. Well it's sad that this is the case. I know it is pretty hard to write apps but it seems some things should just be a given considering, Like why no app for this or even a built in option at this point? Oh Well, I'll figure something out for sure.. anyone wanna send me the systemui.apk from Weapon so I don't have to reinstall it again?
since the theme thread is closed and so much people asking for it.. i have download and flashed "SAUROM Projekt" theme and it worked and would like to share it , i only tryed it because in zeus ztr thread over on OP dman mention ztr uses source from SAUROM source with the jkay menu, so if you need to customize anything you can still can.
zeus ztr " lockscreen and mods" will be replaced with " TSM custom menu" and if you change settings inside here everything you change works.

Great attempt. Can you also fix the Contact Icon in your ICS Dialer Pad. Its color is faded.
Looks good but when it doesn't want to play nice it really goes crazy. I also had wifi issues like no wifi at all it just wouldn't connect. Hope it works for others that want a theme.

i actually tested all the toggles before i post it, but nothing is perfect and your on your own if you want to flash this, but if you are having toggle problem try going to cmw and choose ( advance - fix permission ) credits to qksters tip on vagabond thread for this fix ( might be the fix )
thanks qkster for making things easier who made some flashable script you can flash to fix these , i never use them because i didn't encounter any errors

it's not my theme and i can't make any modifications without owners permission, but if you really want the " contact " text to light up, you can use carlos ics pack a, unzip it and put it in your system/app , fix permission, reboot

It's not a toggle issue it's a wifi issue + it does freeze a bunch. Glad it works for you though. Looks like a good place to start a true ZTR theme.

before i flash jvu themes, i try to put carlos old ics revpage theme ( not install ) but port it and it worked. i have no permission from carlos nor dman, so i can't not share it. plus its a full rom file not a theme file. if you flash it ,it wipes your old data ,, i have not found a way to make a theme pack yet.. right now only thing i can do is re-theme the original rom

you can try SAUROM rom which have jaky and zeus is using thier source to built ztr ,, i highly recommend you do a full system restore ( return to stock ) and enable ext4, lagfix because without it you will have couple small bugs.

I found my fix. Instead of flashing the full theme I just took the apks and used root explorer. Pics posted in post home screen thread. Thanx for this. And thanx to all the devs for there hard work.

hmmm. what is not the same? the tweaks? the mods? i find it the similar,, on my phone atlease it more smooth, more stable, no single FC, nada
infact my battery is insane, 10 hours and from full charge to 98% and thats only my first day on this rom, with widgets on home screen. i keep their i9000 kernel and my computer/apps read my phone as i9000 because its base on i9000 not port nor hell raiser
i'm going to test it more tomorow with bt ect.. and see if it has the reading/accessing bug on bt apps
so... are there problems flashing this theme? if there are, any solutions?
I am kind of confused now, it seems to me some are experiencing wifi problems so r not?

I had issues my fix was to take the apks and flash them instead of a full flash.

This ROM is based off of kwes's Rooted Stock v21y ROM plus a few tweaks here or there. In the screenshots are the slightly modified Arc'd theme and I added my Touch of ICS theme which also has the CRT off animation.

Little tweaks by me:
Increased VM heap size to 64mb
Added a few tweaks to build.prop

Changed SD read-ahead speed to 2048
Removed bloatware that 90% of people don't use
Deleted gallery3d and replaced with quickpic (MUCH better)
HOW TO INSTALL: (Taken from Kwes1020's original thread)
To install:
1. Reboot into cwm
2. Wipe data/factory reset
3. Go to advanced>wipe dalvik cache
4. Go to mounts and storage>format /system.
5. Go to install zip from SD card.
6. Install the zip and reboot.
You can also dirty flash this on top of kwes1020's rooted stock ROM, but make sure you still reboot once before applying the theme!!
HOW TO INSTALL EDITED ARC'D THEME: (has to be done this way)
You MUST first go through the initial setup screen
Boot back into CWM
Flash theme
Reboot
Once again on installing the theme... first format system/factory reset, then flash the buruROM, reboot, go through the initial setup, then go back into cwm, and flash the theme.
You can also do a dirty flash of this ROM over the stock 2.3.4 ROM as long as it's the one kwes has posted.
Will you see a performance increase?
Eh, probably not? I mean maybe... but nothing too big I don't think. This is mainly for me just to do something when I have free time... and also for some of you crack-flashers that have this to hold onto until kwes finishes/releases his ROM.
DOWNLOAD BuROM v0.2.
NOTES:
I recommend using the Touch of ICS theme/CRT off animation theme just because it uses the original number of files from stock instead of UOT Kitchen adding a crap-load that aren't necessary... MAYBE it'll be a speed increase.
One bug I've noticed is the charging animation will always show you having like 10% battery but don't worry, you're phone IS CHARGING and nothing is wrong lol... that's the only bug I've noticed so far, oh and that the battery is in increments of 5%.
Link changed to Google Drive instead of Media Fire and I decided that BuROM is the best name lol.
Reserved just in case...
And also, I couldn't think of a neat name (like bionix, or eagle's blood, or tsugi) for the ROM... so just did something generic. I'm bad with making up names.
pretty cool that you are learning a lot so quickly! I've been thinking of going to 2.3.4 again... maybe after I buy a bunch of spare batteries for the phone. Good job though Buru.

Hah sure, some people can post some name suggestions... but honestly don't know how more "modded" this ROM can get... MAYBE if I look into actual developing like smali and that complicated stuff... but we'll see... but the name buruROM is pretty catchy haha although my friend hated the name ;p.

Have no idea what google drive is... googled it, love it, installing it and going to upload and update the OP ;p.
Also, how I found out how to get stuff from mediafire.com through the phone is getting Boat Browser, setting user agent to firefox, then it should work. If it saves as a .txt then just rename it to .zip.

Try opening the site and under browser options click "request desktop site". I have to do it also anytime I want to download from my phone on ics, might work for you too.

I was having problems with mediafire too I set user agent to Ipad in dolphin browser, that works for me. Thanks for the ROM I'll try it out later.

One mod I would like to see is reboot/ reboot into recovery in the shut down menu. Good job buru!

First off thanks for keeping our phone flashing tendencies alive and well. Did you happen to fix that awful lag in the lockscreen? It happens when you turn the screen on...it first shows a shot of the last screen open and then switches to the lockscreen

I do not believe so, but I think I notice that the lag window is a lot smaller than before?
Nice ROM Bru! I especially like the change of color in the theme. Very usable. My daily device (for now).

Yeah, I hate this lag when a rom have CRT animation this lag don't happen... maybe if we got CRT animations this will be fixed!

Burom is a winner for a name in my book. Quick question: I installed and put your modded theme on it. Now I get no notification area. Tried booting into clockword and deleteing cache, and dalvik but no dice. Do I need to reinstall again? I'm guessing yes. Spent the morning testing cm9 with Harsh's kernel(no dice) and reset to your rom, so my rom switchingis dragging.

This is my simple black and blue theme ported. It is ics blue, black, and a little white here and there. The messaging app has a few different color and different styles of bubbles, You will have to change them in the app to look like the screenshot. This has been updated to use the VRtheme system so it should now be able to be used on any TWbased rom. I have only tested on cleanrom and synergy, please make a backup and test on other roms and let me know the results so I can update the OP. Just flash in recovery, I recommend TWRP 2.2.2.0. It has to be the newest version for the VRtheme to work on TWRP. Added brightness slider addon at bottom of post, I dont think it works on cleanrom, but if the rom had it there stock it should work.

Didnt work at all for me. Status bar is gone and wallpaper is black and unchangeable. Tried to install the other theme (black pearl)over this to get the status bar back and now the phone is completely unusable.

You should always do a backup in recovery before installing any mods. If one theme doesnt work on your phone another probably wont either. You can just dirty flash the rom again to put everything back to stock without loosing your data just wipe system in recovery and flash and your data will still be there. What recovery are you using? I only use twrp 2.2.2.0 and have had no issues.
Just wanted to say that this installed perfectly on my phone. I haven't notice any issues or problems yet.

yeah i can make a flashable addon for that, I had it that way for a little but im so used to the honeycomb battery i threw it in there for me ill post it up in a few.

stock battery with no % in ics blue added to bottom of the OP. Just flash in recovery after installing the full theme.

It is odexed for cleanrom 2.5 I doubt it will work on anything else except for stock rooted maybe

I've never tried it like that. Might work but I don't use rom manager. It should either work or not do anything at all depending on how rom manager handles themes
