Hey,
I have Note 2 (GT-N7100) its primary market is Europe. i was using it and it suddenly stucks and after sometime it restarted with this error "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. connect to kies select recovery mode and try again" I have just bought it and it happened . i Have tried to resolve it through odin mode because recovery mode is not opening. it is only going in download mode ... In odin it says [Successful] but problem does not go. Help me resolving this problem.

Hi i have flashed an JB firmware and bricked my phone. Now i am not able to boot into recovery/download mode and kies is not recognizing my device and when i connect the mobile for charging it shows an screen "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
any solution???

Press POWER button and VOLUME UP button simultaneously till you see Galaxy tab2 logo then release it.
Now WIPE CACHE PARTITION
then WIPE DATA / FACTORY RESET
now go to ADVANCED and choose WIPE DALVIK CACHE
And then reboot your tab.

i have same problem...how did u fix your tab?
Guys it's very simple, If you have that screen saying that "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again." connect the tablet while on that screen to your PC, Open Odin it'll say "Added" in the small Info Box, and now easily just flash any stock rom via Odin and Voila you recovered your tablet

so i was trying to root my Samsung S 4g (sgh-t959w) using odin....but something went wrong and when did a battery pull and try to boot the phone.
it said "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies and try again" when i went to kies to restore it using
Firmware upgrade and initialization .....it told me that that SGH-T959W does not support initializing...
is there any other way to restore the firmware?....all answers and ideas would be greatly appreciated

I tried flashing original firmware with odin. It said failed so i unplugged the usb. I went back on my tablet and it said "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in kies and try again". My tablet is a Samsung galaxy note 10.1 gt n8010. I need help because kies wont recognise my device so i dont get emergency code. Please helpp!!!! Try rebooting in download mode and then flash again. If that doesnt work then try downloading again. May be a broken firmware.let me know what happens.

Hi all. I have problem with "Firmware .... an issue" Tried different Odin versions. With 3.07 and 3.10 versions looks like flashing is ok, Odin shows no errors. But nothing on the tablet, there's not blue status bar. And when flashing finished, Odin shows no errors. But tablet really not flashed. What the problem can be? Who can help? Also tried Odin old versions, almost all show "nand error write". Tried also repartition with pit file, "there is no pit partition" error message. Looks like problem with emmc, but why. No one tried to flash. Just want to be sure before order nand flash.
When flash in old version Odin, then I see a little blue status bar on tablet. But flashing finish with error.
Maybe someone know, if to change nand chip not flashed but empty or with another firmware will the tablet flash it?

Thanks again for your help Mr Shsagnik.. but i need more advise from you..
I already use heimdall and can't fix it also,, So this maybe for extra information
1. When I charge that P3100, " Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select ..... " appear on screen, and if i charge about 1 or 2 hours, i feel the heat from main PCB / Mother Board, not for battery.
2. So I pull out battery for along time, and i try to charge with power bank with 2 mA output, and i not feel the heat from battery and also from main PCB, so I let this battery to charge about 3 hours, and i can see that battery charging on the screen, i try to going to download mode but still cant,so i wait until that battery charge full 100%. And finally, now I can going to download mode perfectly.
3. After that I try to install stock rom original ICS with ODIN v3.07, with re-partition not checked, the installation in ODIN succes, but on tablet there is no status bar below the download mode information, and after that my tabs not reboot also, so i try to go to download mode again and I stuck with " Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select ..... " again... and then back to number one, now i try to fully discharge that battery, maybe you have any advise for me,,,
