INDIA : BSNL & UNINOR APN settings

Here I'm posting the APN settings for both BSNL and UNINOR (trying UNINOR since yesterday).
Started Atrix-2 on BSNL India network in Dec 11 and getting APN settings is a cake walk with BSNL. Then tried UNINOR SIM a week back and found the coverage to be good at my Res and Off. Had a lot of trouble getting the settings from Uninor, as I think, they do not have the settings for Atrix-2 in their server. Then found out a GREAT app "TWEAKKER" on Google Play and ran it with WiFi. It simply tweaked the APN settings for uninor india. I thought of sharing the settings here. BSNL and UNINOR settings are given below:

Now when someone searches for settings on Google they will be taken here..... That is a good thing..... Is not the point of xda to find answers like this..... Thanks for posting this not my apn settings but there are many who will find this useful.....

Platinumtel - PTEL wireless APN settings

Here are the settings for Platinumtel or PTEL wireless. I couldnt find them no where... so here are they are
Go to Settings (may differ based on your version of Android)
Go to Wireless & Networks
Go to Mobile Network
Go to Access Point Name
Press menu and select “New APN”
Enter the following settings (case sensitive):
a. Name:
PTEL Mobile
b. APN:
wholesale
c. Proxy:
<blank>
d. Port:
<blank>
e. Username:
<blank>
f. Server:
<blank>
g. MMSC:
http://wholesale.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc
h. MMS Proxy:

i. MMS Port:

j. Authentication Type: <blank>

7. Press menu and select “Save”

I just got a PTEL SIM, but I am unable to get into the APN settings at all to adjust these. Every time I go to "Settings>Wireless and network>Mobile networks>Access Point Names", I get a "Sorry! The application Settings (process com.android settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" error with the only option being to force close the process. I would like to try using APN backup & restore or a similar program to restore it. If you wouldn't mind backing your APN file up & sending it to me, I'd appreciate it.
**Actually n/m, I got it to work. The APN file on my phone was corrupted somehow. For anybody else having similar issues getting into their APN settings, I used APN Backup & Restore to delete the APN files on my phone, then just manually added a new one following the OP's instructions. Also, some other sites specify the whole case sensitive thing, but then capitalize "Wholesale" which didn't work for me. I followed the exact capitalization as the OP and can finally send MMS pictures. Thanks rpetrover!!**

Anyone else having issues the last week or so with PTEL data/mms?
My wife had been having issues, but we don't use data much so didn't really think about it. Then today someone sent an mms and I had no data to download it, and popped my ptel sim into my old phone to see if it was my ROM or radio, and the other phone had data with the Ptel sim. The difference? The old phone still had the Tmobile APN info.
I added a Tmobile apn to my current phone, and got mobile data back. Seems backwords, but it is on the Tmobile network, so I guess it isn't that far fetched.
So if anyone else is haven't issues with no data on Ptel recently, try adding a Tmobile apn and see if that fixes your issue (don't delete the PTel one in case something changes). Can't hurt.

Mobile data wont turn on on giffgaff Network

Mobile data wont turn on
Hello,
I am in UK and I am on giffgaff network, I try to turn on mobile data but it doesn't work. The arrows on the top bar do not appear as they supposed to when I enable mobile data. I did select O2 Mobile Web APN. Any ideas what could it be? Anyone else having same issues?

Fixed it, apparently you have to set up APN manually for giffgaff.
Data settings
APN - Access Point Name: giffgaff.com
Login - Username: giffgaff
Password: [leave blank]
Proxy: [leave blank]
MCC: 234
MNC: 10
Make sure not to confuse "proxy" and "MMS proxy". The first one must be left blank and the value for MMS Proxy is 82.132.254.1

APN settings from the OK3 update

Can someone post screenshots of your APN settings who is running the OK3 update? Want to see how they compare to older system update configurations.
Select Settings.
Select Wireless & networks Make sure Wi-Fi is Off (you can change this later) and Mobile network is On (or checked)
Tap on Mobile network
Tap on Access Point Names.

Using Ting's APN default settings on MetroPCS

So I thought it was peculiar that using Ting's APN default setting solved and improved my data speed connection settings
WHAT IT SHOULD LOOK LIKE:

APN for Faster Data on Metro PCS
I sometimes used dual stacking on my previous Galaxy Alpha because it was a factory unlocked Samsung but did not have the software programming to function as a VOLTE Device on Metro or TMO .
I also used the MVNO Setting of 6d38 which I assume came from the SIM Card .
I just got a Tmobile new paid for phone not locked to a contract to use on Metro PCS which functions as a Metro Phone - always on 4GLTE always simultaneous voice and data - the Alpha did that on H+ and sometimes H but never on 3G and it would drop to 3 G sometimes to take calls.
Unlocked Phones can be band jumpers just change bands while laying on a table for no reason lol.
Anyway I have 2 to 4 bars of LTE everywhere on S9
BUT would like faster data .
I never heard of 'fota ' before as that string of settings you posted.
How much did your data speed up ?
I have great SOT on this phone - it puts every App to sleep lol.
And the Audio is like I have been wishing for ever since cell phones came out - but faster would be cool - on Alpha I had 3 APN Settings stored and switched between them sometimes...
