It's a known issue, search the aokp thread for the love of God.

As long as hardware acceleration is not working properly there will be no video for Netflix on ics this is on all the ics roms.
And because the proper drivers are missing there won't be a fix anytime soon.

Yes we have to wait till LG decides to upgrade pp90,since nvidia hasn't release the damn drivers/source for us

Stop holding your breath. We still need sources from Samsung, before anything. The problem is our LTE radio.
Hell, if we can some sort of AOSP love then I can deal with not having LTE. I don't live in a 4g area and even when I am in one I turn it off.

What you don't understand is we need RIL source to get 4g...3g...phone calls. It's not limited to only not having lte
Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk
Yea I realized that after I posted lol.

It could still be done. Back on the Fascinate, some of the initial builds of CM7 were still using a FroYo Kernel and ED04 baseband.
If devs can figure out how to build the OS from the source while still keeping the EP4 kernel and baseband, we could have a relatively functional ICS build.

I still have faith that the dev community will be able to get a successful RIL working. Once we have that then it sounds as if there should be a good
Gingerbread ROM ready. From there we stand a fair chance of making the upgrade to ICS.

The RIL is always the bugger of it all. In the Fascinate arena, JT had to completely rewrite it from scratch to get it working properly.
will the infuse get the cm9?
i know cm9 is released on galaxy s. so are we able to port cm9 ?
offically i would think not
port possibly
Seeing as how we would be lucky to even get a stock, AOSP type ICS rom, I highly doubt a souped-up version A.K.A CM9 would be available on our infuses.
With that said, LinuxBozo is a genius..
I hope it comes to our infuse, cm is really all I use now. Performance is above all others without overclocking.

Technically the infuse falls under the android update alliance agreement thing.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda premium
I don't see a reason why it won't be on the Infuse. Sure, it might be a port and not an official build, but does that really matter in the end?
thanks for the ans.
i was just wondering it we're able to port it

It'll be like cm7 on the vibrant
Works well
****ty battery life
Get ready for half a day standby!
why would it be like cm7 on the vibrant, and not cm7 on the infuse?
Its not like cm7 at all....that's why its called cm9...

Not yet.. I imagine the devs are waiting for ics to drop before any real development will take off. Also, there is an issue with the wifi driver that Samsung will not release the source for...

I had the 8.9 but took it back and got the plus but was disappointed there was hardly any development going on but ICS is well worth the wait. Thank-you.

wow. I thought somebody would be jumping at the chance to crack into this right now. However it doesn't look like there's any activity In this post yet.
Yeah, both the G2x and 2x threads are dead, dang I wish it was like the Nexus forums when jelly bean leaked, it was like 15 new pages every ten minutes.

It contains the blobs that will allow Rom developers to make fully functioning roms for our phones, instead of the neutered non-hw accelerated versions we have.
So besides getting the video cam and playback working, what else would this fix?

No doubt about cm10.1 on our phone now.
Sent from my LG-P999 using Tapatalk 2
looked like the developers were getting hung up on the RIL before, so this should speed up the development process quite nicely
I was considering getting a new phone, but this changed my mind. I always wondered why such a powerful phone had such lame roms like gingerbread

Weird thing is, a lot of people are reporting slow and buggy phones. However, some people are also reporting that their phones are smooth and that they have great battery life (optimus 2x forums)

Search the forums, it's pretty obvious the devs are trying to work on this, it isn't readily available.
