Play rom issue - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
I'm having a problem with the play rom with the YouTube app every time I try and play a video it crashes
Just wondering if anyone else has this issue

You'll probably get a better and faster response if u put this in the ROMs thread. The development team can answer best.
Good luck
Vs Nexus S 4G

Have you tried with a kernel that supports BIGMEM? Maybe air kernel v4

Browser video problems with gingervillian 1.4

I get a video not optimized for mobile error now when I try to watch a video on the web browser on my G2. Before I installed gingervillian I could watch them fine. Has anyone else had this problem and if so is there a fix for it?

The video does play but it is distorted I just want to add. I have tried reinstalling the rom as well as updating the kernel. Someone please tell me I'm not the only one with this issue.

Do you have a particular camera app that you use. Looked in Play and not sure which is a quality camera.

Max player not working eagles blood bld 5

Not to be annoying or anything but my Mx player is not working properly. Its keep telling me unsupported device or corrupted files. Please help with my problems. Autocorrect on the topic my fault

eaglesbloods roms are still the best
Its not suppose to work on EGB bld 5. Read the OP of that thread. None of the video players will work on it as far as i know. Its because their GCC is the latest one 4.6.6 or something which isn't compatible with what MX player or Mobo player framework runs on.
Thanks for the info CricketAC

Video camera for rooted ICS g2x

I heard that they need the drivers from lg for it but I was wondering if there was a way around not using the stock video camera. I love my rooted phone 99%. My only issue is the video camera. If anyone has any info on it I would be thankful.

Well of course there are other video apps out there but the only reason why its not working on ICS is because ICS lacks Video drivers which is needed for the processing of the video. Currently no one can get it as far I know but since a leaked ICS from LG was just found on the O2X it might be possible to get a fully working ICS ported over with the working video drivers. Hope this helps.

supposedly videocam illusion works on ICS on our phones, but it's probably hit or miss.

[Q] Alternatives to V4A that are Franco-friendly?

So it appears that Viper4Android isn't playing nice with Franco's kernel...at least for me and, by observation, at least a few others.
I love V4A and can't stand the vanilla audio without it...but I love the battery life Franco gives me. Dilemma...
Does anyone out there use another free audio tweaker that plays nice with Franco's kernel?
Just use linaro version of the kernel in the other development forum and u won't have an issue as it has faux sound

I have audio issues with Linaro too.
I don't understand, I am using V4A with Franco.kernel r46 and having no issues so far. earlier today I had some audio clipping/studdering, but the problem went away. what is exactly your problem?

Every now and then, I'll hear a hiccup (sounds like a digital fart, if that makes sense). Quite annoying.
What setup are you using with V4A? What audio quality?
