It's down to the kernel, not the ROM.

Yeah I built a self powered OTG cable,tried a few Kernels like Anthrax kernel from infected rom but it didnt work

faux123 and showp are working on it (and possibly other kernel devs, but I don't follow them), but HTC has screwed a lot if things up, like fixing multi touch issues in framework instead of fixing it in the driver in the kernel, as well as deviating so very far away from whatever Bluetooth stack they claim to be using, as well as removing any and all parts of USB host feature from kernel source.
It IS being worked on, but a lot of work is going in to fix all the crap that HTC broke.

Chads Kernel should support it as it is, he is using the same modifications and defconfig switches in his htc evo 3d kernel that he put into his sensation kernels, and it works great on the 3D. Considering the same options and modifications do in fact work for the 3d, he sees no reason why they should not work here for the sensation.
the catch, only ONE rom supports this mod - until rom developers modify the roms to support host mode and OTG, it will not work.
I do know Chad removed this code from the 3D kernel today (4-20) to shrink down the zImage size (and to help find the cause of weird battery drain), since no roms at present support it.
His next release for the sensation may or may not have it, but as of 4D - its there, and been there
on the 3d, Chad has a usb keyboard and 1TB usb harddrive working, but like i said, only 1 rom allows this. (TITANHD..the developer was forced off of xda by trolls accusing him of kanging and stuff, but yet no one else has otg working...)

My question is , has anybody "sense 4" rom for sensation, where the bluetooth(file transfer), wifi hot-spot, mms is also working ?
I use it a few months ago the "Elegancia" roms, very nice work and stable, and now install the new sense 4 version, but i missing this functions. I look around and try another roms, but i not find where these 3 func. is working.
It is not possible at the moment or, i'm doing something wrong. THX.
Mms is working on insertcoin but WiFi tether and Bluetooth not working is present in all the sense 4 roms.

Thanks your answer. What is the reason why not woking these function, after all the htc one s is working.
Do some reading bro and of course it's working with One S because these roms are originally for that device whereas Sense 4 for the Sensation is a port.
Sense 4 is something that we shouldn't receive as far as HTC is concerned but thanks to devs here at XDA, we're enjoying such. Bluetooth File Transfer is still bug but is being worked on nonetheless.
The reason Bluetooth has been such a pain is because on the One S its Bluetooth 4.0, which is both different hardware and software wise than what we have on the sensation which is bluetooth 3.0, all the sense 4 roms you see were never originally made for the sensation

Take a look at Ordroid....internet passthru not working Bluetooth is partially working...other then that its good to go as fast as Shinzlon updates I'm sure once its all figured out he will be on top of it

Same problem here, the wife uses Instagram on my phone and it kills it pretty much every time.

Regularly freezes my phone, particularly during the application of tilt-shift and/or when clicking on the top right hand side arrow to process pic and upload. Really annoying. E-mailed them as well, hoping for a fix. In the meantime, no one cracked this yet?

this problem rekated with apk, not phone. i'm using xe with arhd without sny instagram problem but i tried same apk on desire, ideos x5 and galaxy ace, and noticed errors. if the program wants to work, it work like a charm. if it doesnt want to, you have nothing to do.
generally iphone port apps doesnt work stable.

Since the most recent update it seems to be much more stable.
And by much more stable I mean being able to process and upload a picture without a hard reboot
I've found that if I reboot BEFORE I use instagram, it works perfectly. If I do NOT reboot it freezes. I've learned to work around this issue by rebooting BEFORE use. Then it works perfectly for me. My current Rom Beats by Grogg 3.0 v.B. but I think the reboots will work with ANY Rom. Give it a try. It solved my freezing issue, perhaps it will also solve your issue hope this helps! Good luck

WTF is going on with Instagram
Ever since I upgraded to the new TMOUS 2.10 now 3.0.0 Instagram freezes on me and I have to take the cover off the back of my phone and reboot it every time now. Seriously though. what's going on?

There had been confirmed issues with some specific drivers and some specific apps (skype and istagram eg.), you can take a look in this thead for the drivers you might want try.
For those with Instagram problems, those drivers should fix it :

They should work no problem with every ROM, clearing cache is also a good thing to do.
what do those drivers do exactly ? And I noticed this is for an adreno 200 but the sensation has adreno 220 ?
Hi people, since Nova's 3 release, i've been wondering why our Sensation version has no full video effects (like blur, depth of field, hi-res textures and improved shaders...), and another phones like SGS 2, have it. Take a look over Youtube and search S2 gameplay and Sensation gameplay; youll be able to see the difference. Why is it possible? If I use Chainfire 3d I can see the full effect mode, but in certain part of the game (sometimes at first load) game stasrs to turn the screen to black and show glitches and artifacts that ruin the game because they do it unplayable. Anyone has the Sensation and can play nova with full effect?

I just bought it on Play Store. I'm using ICS AOSP (sense based) ROM - Virtuous Inquisition 4.0.2.
Anyone else have tried it and want to conplain? We can write emails to Gameloft. It's not too fair paying 6 euros by a low end version.

Here same as you. Probably its due to Adreno 22x processor architecture or something like that, because the HTC One S has this problem too. But the matter is... Its likely that Gameloft fixes the One S problem soon, but Im afraid the HTC Sensation won't be that lucky. Gameloft develop a low version for the Sensa and avoid working on it because it isnt new like the HTC One s. Bussiness matters...

After suffering the screen turning black issue, i have had some success. I am running the elegancia sense 3.6, 2.5 rom with the sebastian kernel, and chainfire drivers. I checked the box to hide CF running, and disabled the mapbuffer emu, in the settings and am using the powervr plugin. this is working really well with no issues so far.

If you hide CF, you play the low end stock version of the game for our Sensation, because the game doesn't detect the cf driver, so you are not enabling the advanced effects. The question is... why doesn't gameloft enable the high graphics to the Sensation? It posseses a high end hardware like Adreno 220. Why?
I bought a dualshock3 sixaxis controller today to use both on my computer and phone and tested it on my sensation. I used sixaxis controller app from play store to pair it with my phone. Unfortunately, sense roms (i'm using ViperS Sense4) does not seem to support the controller.. Sixaxis Controller app was unsuccesful to configure my bluetooth.
Then i tried a MIUI rom to see how senseless roms work with controller, and managed to pair devices with no errors, sixaxis controller app easily managed to connect the controller.
I do love sense, but i don't like playing games on touch screens.. :crying: And probably most of HTC users agree with me.
Why not jus get an xBox. Games on ur phone is just for killing time on the bus or at class in school.

I can't because i often change cities. I enjoy playing N.O.V.A, Modern Warfare etc., or PC games on Onlive on my phone, but prefer reading book or sth else on bus, or at class in school.

I feel your pain bro I switch to Cm9 for it to work
That's due to BT stack Bug in Sense. IDK if this can be corrected modifying the Rom or if it's kernel related.
Gaming on mobile is getting bigger and bigger by the min and I'm getting bored of ps3 but my phone with a ps3 controller is exciting iv got access to loads of ok games for no more than a 5er and access to most classic game and emulators I have more games on my phone than ps3 and I own a lot of games

It's not so much important, it's not hard to buy a new battery I have been using sensation for 7-8 months (bought second hand), and have been heavily playing games from then on. My battery is still the same though. The only thing i'm afraid of is an unexpected explosion because phone gets very hot while playing, especially when the brightness is set to high.
Btw the problem on Sense roms does not seem to be kernel related. I tested on different kernels and roms.. It much seems to be related to rom itself.. Maybe some modifications needed.. But i'm not a dev..
Try ViperS with Sebastian 1.5.2 and DS3 will work if you connect it to a HUB!!!
I know Sebastian's kernel.. But I could not Manage to get it worked yet. I tried all day long.. Will try different cables and hub. Have you tried the cotroller

It works fine on aokp and cm9 just little bit sad it doesn't work whit virtuous rom as its really stable and have great battery life however i play gta a lot and didn't get any heat up whit anker battery?

That's because your controller is now paired with your friends PS3, whereas before it was paired to your phone.
"If not already done, you must manually pair the controller with your phone. This can be done using 'SixaxisPairTool', or with 'MotionInJoy' or the linux utility 'sixpair'. Your phones bluetooth address should be shown at the bottom of the main application window and will look something like 1A:3C:13:00:21:C2; you need to enter this number into the 'SixaxisPairTool' as shown. This process only needs to be done the first time a controller is used on a different device, so if you only use the controller on one phone, you will only need to do it once."

Hi there, as I know of I believe HDMI is not working on the sense 4 roms. What you can do is check each Rom that your interested in and check there "bug" list. Usually HDMI is on the list meaning it's not functioning . But check and see of Any got it working by looking at that list on the first page of the Rom and its site. You can find them in sensation android development. Each Rom has a site with that list and it will tell you weather or not HDMI is functioning. If you don't see it on the list then it IS functioning.
