[Q] After restart, lost calendars AND widgets? - HTC Sensation

Hello there everyone. I am suffering from a problem that is both annoying and crucial. I restarted my phone to let the system recheck itself, and upon restart, all of the widgets in WidgetLocker said they needed to be found again and set up. (Tap to restore. This has happened before when I restart the phone). HTC had a notification in my status bar saying that it was an abnormal reset.
More than that, I have lost all of my calendars. So I went to "Calendar" and saw that there were no events. So I went to settings and the app immediately crashed. I can replicate this every time. So I went to "Sync" and manually started that calendar account to sync, and it gave the message:
"Sorry! The process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." Trying again yielded: "The application Google Services Framework (process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." The third try yielded the first result.
The thing is, it isn't a ROM or flashing issue. I am completely stock, HTC Sensation 4G, 2.3.4, on T-Mobile.
There are only three things I can think of. I had some crashing issue a month ago that I never learned the cause of, which also made the WidgetLocker widgets disappear. I enabled the experimental menu in WidgetLocker last night, though I have not touched anything. I also noticed the phone being slower lately.
I would really appreciate help here, because I just can't live without my calendars, and being reluctant to restart my device because I will have to set up all of my widgets is just a pain.
Thank you very much for your help,
- SensationNation

Any help? I really need to fix this issue. I depend on my calendars to be on top of things and know what is going on.

Your Launcher has Force Closed. Try holding down the home button to access your task manager, and see if you can access settings from there. You may find that if you pull the battery and restart several times you are lucky enough to get it working once, where you can get into settings and change away frrom ADW.
I seem to encounter something similar everytime I try and use ADW, although the majority of people love it.
if you have applied a theme or mod which is not compatible with ADW this will cause it. If you can get into recovery, a reflash of your kernel (if possible) may fix the problem.
Good luck!

[Q] Lookout Security Crashes since CM7

HTC Desire, rooted / s-off. Running Cyanogenmod 7.
My Lookout started crashing since I installed CM7. It is installed on phone memory, not SD. When the phone boots, Lookout starts as normal, in background, then closes without any notification, opens up again in background, crashes again, and keeps this crash, start loop indefinitely.
I have determined that if I clear data for the app, I can open Lookout, set up the settings all over again, and it will remain stable. Until the next time I reboot.
Really bugging me, anyone experienced this before?
EDIT:
Just figured out what's causing the crash. Lookout has to log in the account at start up, so when I have the data turned off, it crashes.
This is weird, this never used to happen when I was running HTC Sense unrooted. Might have to contact Lookout support about this.
In the meantime, if anyone has any suggestions, post up!

Anybody knows something about this Cellphone model? Pixys pxs-mp367a. Also android.pr

My aunt gave it to me with some kind of 'If you fix it, you can keep it' arrangement, but I can't do anything at all with it, there's barely some info in the web except for post about the problem it has and the fact that it has no solution. I can't find a rom that works for the phone either
Everytime I turn on the phone, inmediately after the logo screen, there appears an error message that says: ''Sorry! The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.'' When I force close it, less than a second after, the message appears again, letting me do practically nothing.
If I'm fast enough I can enter the settings and check stuff around, after I'm in the settings screen, the problem persists, but last a little longer without the message on the screen.
I checked around to find something about the problem at it seems commonly attributed to the sync and contact apps, but I have tried all the solutions relating this apps (including a factory reset) and nothing has worked.
Something I noticed was that the android keyboard is always restarting and has 0 processes and 1 service, and just when it manages to restart, the message appears, and when I force close it, it goes back to 0 processes and 1 service and restarting. Also if I manage to enter the web browser and click in the url, just when the keyboard appears, it closes and the message appears again.
The android version is 4.0.4, and the model Pixys pxs-mp367a. If you need more info please tell me how to find it out.
Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad English.

Touchwiz crashes on "do not disturb"

Dear all,
just got my S7 (literally). I haven't even finished setting my apps, only to find out I can't get inside the option "Do not disturb".
When I tap on Do not Disturb, system crashes and returns this exact message:
"O config. parou" (in Portuguese), which in English is translated as "the settings stopped"
Doesn't matter if I try to access it via settings or via quick settings on the notification area.
I've searched on the internet on how to solve it but found nothing. Can you guys help me?
I've already tried to wipe the cache partition (power+home+vol.up).
Thanks a lot.
update: I just switched to English, and the English version of the error is:
Unfortunately, settings has stopped.
I get the same error, while every other option works normally. Don't know what is causing it, because that error was showing up from the moment i first turned my s7 on...
I've had the exact same issue. After switching to a new launcher (nova) I've not had the issue anymore.
It seems like I've solved the problem by doing this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8AZyalTf5Y
Even though it's kinda weird, because I had the same issue on my 1st attempt (after updating the firmware), but it went away out of nothing on the 2nd attempt.
I'll keep you posted.

Question Cannot place widget when using launcher on ROG Phone 5...

Hey there, I really need some help of you guys... I am using the ROG Phone 5 as my daily driver for quite a while now - never had serious problems.
Now, after updating to Android 12, I tried to install a launcher - no problems - place apps on the homescreen - no problems - and cannot add a single widget to any launcher. The pop-up, where it asks if the launcher is allowed to create widgets doesn't show up, instead it always says "settings stopped working".
Only the standard ASUS-Launcher, which ist quite bad, let's me place widgets, as you do not have to give permissions there. Never had this problem and don't know what to do now... Can someone help me please? :3
Re-installing the launcher as well as resetting the phone didn't work for me - seems like there this is a OS realted issue? Maybe there is a workaround?
Hey,
I've searched the internet for a really long time to find someone who also has my problem. I can agree with you one hundred percent, I also own the ASUS Rog Phone 5 and can't use any widget by using an other launcher than the standard ASUS. I keep getting the same error message too. I'm getting desperate, can someone help us?
Hey, got the same problem here, didn't expect to find anyone asking about it here. Also, I'm using the 5s Pro version, but I guess they're not that different. Weird thing for me though, I did not have this problem before, I use nova launcher and it worked perfectly fine but a couple weeks ago my phone just died on me while I was playing and had to send it to a service place, they changed the motherboard and I got it back yesterday, after installing stuff on it, when I got to the launcher part I was super confused about this thing, I got the same message "Settings stopped working", I had made a backup of my launcher on another phone and sent it on my rog phone, the widgets appeared but couldn't load completely (I had a weather widget and a calendar) I pressed on them and that message popped again. I randomly tried pressing multiple times on the widget and I got a text saying "factory reset" "restarting" or something like that (didn't quite get it since it restarts quickly and then it brings me in a menu asking me to try loading my system again or do a factory reset, this is a pretty strange problem/bug/whatever, and I hope Asus will fix it at some point.
