i was looking around the web and found something about how to hack the motorola triumph on android central and saw something about changing the prl. I know what they are but i don't know how to change them or if it possible to change them on cm7 reloaded 3-25-12. the guide on android central only talks about stock froyo and not custom roms. if anyone knows how to do the prl change for cm7 it would be much appreciated.

Good day,
The installation on custom roms seem a bit confusing, was wondering if someone could help me...
Own a milestone A853, would like to update to Froyo / Gingerbread.
Another thing, I am from South Africa, is it possible to revert back to stock, ie 2.1 update 1 ? How exactly do I do that as well...
Any advice will be appreciated.
Thank you very much
you have a different phone, this ROM will not work with your phone
Wrong thread
I don't have a Milestone XT720, why was this moved to the Milestone XT720 discussions ?
It's the normal GSM Motorola Milestone, with hardware keyboard ? I'm just tired of waiting for the official update from Motorola, since that doesn't seem to happen.
Please let me know. Thank you very much
I want to install froyo on my milestone a854 for the U.S. It is on bluegrass wireless and is a cdma milestone. I am new to this and have no idea where to start. I just switched to android from iphone and so far love the android!! Could anyone tell me how to do this. I have rooted it already with superoneclick. What is overclocking and what other mods woulde be usefull? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me with this.
I currently have the LG Vortex, Android 2.2, and it seems as though Verizon has an update out -$Link to verizon forums - PM me for link& - According to them i need to come here. The update is fairly big, involves an OS update as well as other enhancements. But when i attempt to run the update it fails, and i cant help but think its because of my rooted phone (z4). Am i just S.O.L for the update or can i do it another way?
If you rooted and then removed stock apps, you are SOL for the OTA. To get the OTA, the update program looks to match to the original stock apps (City ID, VZ Navigator, etc) If you removed any stock apps, the update will fail.
Try heading over to the Vortex forum and look through the ROMs there. Chances are there is a CWM flashable zip version of it that will let you get past this problem.
Good luck.
Im not seeing a forum specificaly for the LG vortex, im assuming i need to get into one of the optimus forums?

Are roms for the optimus one compatible with the optimus t? I am interested in upgrading from stock to gingerbread or ice cream sandwich but I can't seem to find a straight answer anywhere online, including XDA...
Thanks in advance

Yes. Roms for Optimus one are compatible with Optimus T. You will lose WiFi calling though. There may be a few problems with the new baseband though, as mentioned here:

Any P500 rom that uses the old baseband will work flawlessly on the P509. In fact the only thing I miss about the official rom is the missed message notification on the lockscreen. CM7 is superior is every other way IMO. Once the bugs are ironed out with Oxygen, AOSP and andys Phoenix I think we'll have one of the best selections of Gingerbread roms available on any phone.
Official LG GB utilizes the new baseband. The P500 baseband does not include the 1700 spectrum. This represents half of TMOs 3g network (according to Wiki).
I've flashed the P500 baseband and had no major problems. However, weird things like the launcher only showing 3 buttons instead of 5. When my phone booted it up it took an extra few seconds before I had network reception. Battery life was slightly worse compared to Official froyo. I errored on the side of caution and went back to the old baseband. Also, the idea of only having access to half the available 3g towers was a huge turn off.
LG released the update for the Optimus One and considering Gingerbread is just a refresh of Froyo, I did expect an update. Since the Optimus V, P505, P506 and all other U.S. versions of the Optimus One haven't received the update, there's little hope and little room to complain. That doesn't change the fact that I feel I've been cheated.
My only concern is if LG releases the sources for the new baseband, will the great 01 devs start to phase out support for the old baseband?

optimus-t roms
I have the same phone and have tried many of the roms you can find here.
An excellent one to try is:
[UNOFFICIAL][ROM][stable:6.5.8,testing:6.6.1] CyanogenMod 7.1.0 (Android 2.3.7) by Mik_os no wifi calling as mentioned, but super stable w mostly everything working.
another good candidate is:
[ROM][10JAN] CyanogenMod 7.2.0-RC0-OptimusOne-KANG [.32][.35][BothBasebands] by adfad666
also [DEV-ONLY][ROM] CyanogenMod 7.2.0-RC0 Nightlies are coming along, I have run several builds, and they are very good, you need oldBBfix.zip for them to work with the old baseband (which is true with many roms if you get no data after flashing)
I'm currently running Lupohirp's very nice [Unofficial][ICS 4.0.4]CyanogenMod 9[LGP500] this rom is still being developed to fix a few issues, mostly camera, and various bugs, and with a little time and work from the devs will be the ultimate rom for our phones, in my opinion.
Have you rooted your phone already?
No the phone has not been rooted yet, it is an insurance replacement and the methods for rooting three previous phone don't seem to work

root & custom recovery
I followed this guide which worked as it should have:
http://forums.androidcentral.com/t-...t-recovery-rom-without-touching-computer.html
you will have to register to see the links, in my case it was worth it.
The custom recovery by drellisdee is the one that works right with an optimus t,
there are good guides here on xda too of course, just sharing what worked for me.
I'm looking for a stable rom with camera working and no major issues. btw im on old baseband
Got JellyBean for P509
hey man I don't know if you know this but there is a jellybean ROM from Rasheed on there. Let me try to link to you:

Alright, so I have a Verizon Droid 2, flashed over to Cricket. What I want to know is if I try to flash a ROM to my phone (like Steel Droid or CM) would it affect my cell phone service or anything? Also, are there any working root techniques for the Droid 2 anymore? If it helps, I'm running 2.3.4 and I can't find one anywhere.
