What is the status on the cyanogen mod ROM; is development active? Anyone who is working on it have an idea what their timeline might be?

its in beta right now, i have no idea when a release will be ready. i think you can find the beta over at tegratab.com
I'm running the beta right now on my tablet, I was just wondering if anyone knew when the next update be.

B3 is been pretty solid for me, it made the tab so much faster and lag free.
I cannot find any details of what was changed, but beta 3 is up on the IRC server.
#tegratab on freenode
I installed it, but haven't had a chance to play with it much yet.
Can anyone post the link for Cyanogenmod ROM beta? Thanks!!!
I'm pretty sure you can still download it from tegratab.com
Justin
Here's the link to beta3: http://goo.gl/kziGc
I'm not sure what's changed though. Performance does seem better. Got a score of 2412 in Quadrant without overclocking.
Thanks for the link!

Does beta 3 still have the issues with connecting to PC?????
Question for those of you running beta 3, does it still have issues mapping the sd card and does it experience slow downs after prolonged usage?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
My Gtab will not load any ROM after applying this Beta 3 CM. Don't know whats going on. Ok well, now it will not go into clockwork but it loads. Going to reflash clockwork and try CM beta 2, then 3 again.
---
I seem to be getting clockwork corruption when applying gapps.

Still seems to have all of these issues
If your speaking of the usb mount button not working correctly, just download file explorer (and maybe others) it lets you push one button and you can then easily transfer files to the sd card using http or ftp, simple.
Couple other things, beta 3 sees an external sd card now, and also sees my usb thumb drive.
I went ahead and loaded it, I have no problems with it see my usb hard drive, tell it to unmount the usb drive?

You have to modify your build.prop with the appropriate lines:
ro.product.cpu.abi=armeabi-v7a
ro.product.cpu.abi2=armeabi

Mmm. I opened the build.prop on beta 3 and those lines are already there. Oh well. I'm going to try TnT lite. Beta 3 still suffers from the slowdown after being up for awhile. Thanks to the developers for all the hard work.

Is Flag crashing the browser for anyone else? Cm beta3 and zPad flash.
Since upgrading to B3, I feel i get more lag. Mostly when it first is turned on in the morning or onto the next wireless netowrk. I can tell if its trying to sync a bunch of runnign apps or what the issue is.
Is this the lag you guys are talking about?
Is cornerstone stable enough to use atm. If so with which rom (number) does it work best with?

I loaded it up on my xoom after installing eos 1.0.0 and I was incredibly disapointed with it. I had no idea it was like a rom in itself. I wouldn't recommend using it right now. It was buggy and did not run as I would have liked.
Im using eos umts cornerstone version and I loved it.
But I only open it when I need.

How did you managed to do that on top of EOS, is there any flashable zip that will install over eos? I only found a cornerstone rom. Or is it based on EOS?

It's a "plugin" for android, which separates the screen in 3 parts, so you can truly multi task on your Android tablet. It can be turned on and off from within android just like any other app. You can run up to 3 different applications in each of the screens.

I had the same problem last week but rebooting the device solved it for me. I hope it works for you too.
I did have the same problem. By installing an update of google search my microphone worked again
Thanks for the tip. I have tried the above two methods to no avail! Maybe in the next nightly it will fix itself. Would be grateful if anyone else had some tips!

Uhm, mine works great, but I could not get the CM Nightlies to install. Always give me a system 7 error with CWM ROM Manager. So, I used the EXPERIMENTAL build and man, that really works great. Everything works, no problems at all after installing the update that came in system settings, once installed. The only problem I had was hardly any SDcard space after installing. Found the fix for it, even reposted it for others who had this problem. Format the internal SD card after installing. You will lose all of your apps but Google put them all back in like ½ an hour, so now the tablet rocks so hard, I cannot find *anything* that does not work anymore. Originally I had audio problems, audio would crap out if you used the HP jack and tried to talk. But after the update, this jellybean ROM is golden. Give it a try, it is really, really good.
Installing now! Thanks for the tip!

THE SAME PROBLEM P3110 BAKED Blackbean ... MIC NOT WORKING
Same problem with dark fantasy Rom... Funny thing is... Skype still works...
Solved!
Hey guys just wanted to post the fix I found. Even though I have the Tab 2 7 inch WiFi model, I accidentally installed the P3100 rom which is not meant for the WiFi model. After I re-installed the correct P3110 rom, it worked flawlessly (also RC 1). Hope this helps some of the other people on this thread!

I am having the same issues. I thought it was just Google Search/Voice Search that was the problem, but it is actually the microphone in general as recording video doesn't record sound. I had the same GS issue with PAC Rom. and both roms I had to edit the services file and re-zip so that my cwm recognized p3110 as the correct device to install (status 7 error) everything else works fine. I just cant figure out how to get the mic working. I uninstalled google search, I've updated, I've tried to reflash cm 10.1 as well as gapps. I watched vids on how to change input settings on voice to text. Still nothing

Hello there,
I got a problem with installing Open Pdroid on my Galaxy s I9000. Its rooted and running on CM 10.1.0-RC2 and Android 4.2.2.
The thing is, I can't figure out what exactly I am doing wrong.
I used Kobik77's ApG to create the update.zip and restore.zip and had no further issues with it.
On my phone I entered CWM and installed the .zip without any error.
I installed PDroid Manager via Google Play.
So far so good. But now PDroid Manager says: "The PDroid Core has not been detected on your device."
As of now I am not sure whether the patching Process via ApG has been a failure, something went wrong
when installing it via CWM, the PDroid Manager has been buggy, or none of it and I just missed
some detail, like the version I am using is not supported (though I am pretty sure I read somewhere that 4.2.2 and CM 10.1 are supported).
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Edit: my problem has slightly changed. PDroid manager now always asks me to configure it when i install a new app. But when i attempt to do so, it says: "PDroid Manager has been closed."
When i open PDroid manager via the apps icon it still tells me that open pdroid Installation cannot be detected.
- If there is any additional information u need, I'll gladly provide it.
- I hope this is the right place to post it.. I already tried to post in

Hadn't seen these posts before, sorry.
You are only flashing the update.zip file, and not the restore.zip as well?
I use ApG to build openDroid for my LG 4X HD and it works fine.
Hello, first of all thanks for the reply! Yes i only flash the update zip. Flashing the the restore zip would defeat the purpose right?

I can't think of anything obvious that would cause this. Are you running the stock Kernel? I would suggest trying a totally clean install of CM with the .zip file you created by ApG. Don't install anything other than the pDroid Manager and test it again. If it's still not working then try with a newer version of CM, possibly the latest nightly for your device.

Actually i have no idea if i run the stock kernal, as I said, I am pretty new to smartphones.
"3.0.76-gc0a8d45

..is what it says in the phone's settings. Doesn't sound like a stock to me.
I will install the latest nightly build first and try it again. If possible i want to avoid to go through the trouble
of reinstalling all my apps. Seems like I have to find a good backup solution earlier than expected if I
want to keep as much of my data as possible >.<
Well thanks again for taking the time to deal with my problem!

The kernel sounds stock - if you don't remeber flashing a different kernel then you're fine. If you're that worried about losing your apps then just flash the latest nightly and use ApG on that version to try - but do a NanDroid backup of everything first, just in case.

OK i screwed and bricked my phone Anyway i managed to try a few things:
I flashed latest CM nightly and tried to get Open PDroid via the update zip from ApG --> failed
I did factory reset and wiped the cache / did a clean install of ONLY (I just tried randome stuff here) the update zip --> failed
I did factory reset and wiped cache / did a clean istall of latest CM nightly, rebooted and installed the ApG update zip --> failed
Each time the PDroid Manager wasn't able to detect a, in my case Open PDroid, installation.
I noticed that it took especially long to initiate the download of PDroid Manager, I mean the bar before the actual download starts. It took a few minutes until sth. happened. Though i doubt it has anything to do with, I just wondered if it may be conflicting with anything in the system. But probably just due to the reset.
I am getting desperate here
Well anyway.. I may have done a mistake, but realized it too late: Did u mean to install without the gapps? .. I did install CM with gapps...
If I was meant to install CM without gapps i will try that tomorrow!
If any different ideas come to mind.. I will try anthing else too.
thanks again..
Hey, my phone's fixed and my problem changed a little, but i dont know if i it is any
progress.
PDroid Manager still displays the same message, that Open PDroid core could not be
detected, but whenever i istall a app now, it asks me to configure it.
When i press the button in the status bar, where it appears, it just says: "PDroid Manager has
been closed".
So basically i can't do anything with it, but it sometimes tells me it's there
any suggestions?
Maybe anyone has the same issue?

If OpenPdroid isn't working, have you tried Pdroid2.0? It's not the best solution, but it is one.

I've been offline for a few days so am only just catching up on stuff. Given the problem you are now having, I'd suggest run ApG and copy the entire text output from the log. Post that along with a description of the problem you're having onto the ApG Dev thread, and also a logcat if you can.
Hi SimonTS thanks for directing me to the dev forum. I got my Problem fixed. The reason it didnt work is pretty embarassing though .

I've just succeeded in flashing and booting 199. Catch is, you need to use the boot.img from 196. See my thread below.
I was happy to see I had 199 but hilariously, after I rebooted to TWRP and installed gapps, I boot then slide to get in, and it sits there forever trying to activate gapps. It won't let me in to set up wifi so it can frickin' communicate.
It will finally time out after about 15 minutes and let you set up wifi. Now I'm rocking 199.
Grab 196 & 199 before they get corrupted...

The general consensus is that -197 is the most stable version of that rom, the last one that can be considered a reliable "daily driver".

I'm sure all downloads of it vaporized into the ether, or were magically corrupted along with the copy in the goo.im repository.
Thanks for trying to help, but it wasn't what I (and others, apparently) was looking for.
I need this as well. I find it hard to believe that nobody knows anyone with a non corrupt copy of 197.
