I wanna install the touch clock work mod on my phone because I read that there has been more success putting any rom on there. Sometimes when I do the regular 3 wipes it still doesn't work for me. Please help

Do you have nvflash already set up?
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
Well yes I did it before, when I was going to install the touch CWM my computer didn't recognized my phone, its the apx thing I forgot how to do that. I think if I get that working all I'll have to do is the Flash.bat huh ???
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA
You remove the battery first. Then hold down volume up and down, then u plug in USB to computer and phone as well. If you computer recognizes it as an apx device. Then you can type in the commands in cmd that I'll post in a few seconds

OK if you have the correct drivers and the nvflash folder in the correct spot, you open up command prompt and you type this in. Also you have to put the cwm touch img file in the NVFLASH folder.
cd \
cd g2x\nvflash
nvflash.exe --bct E1108_Hynix_512MB_H8TBR00U0MLR-0DM_300MHz_final_emmc_x8.bct --bl fastboot.bin --download 5 p999-5.8.1.3.img
I suggest copying and pasting it in that order.
You can get the img from this link. http://www.mediafire.com/?964emrjhss1ljk5
Make sure to thank Rusty over at rootzwiki for cwm, here is the thread : http://rootzwiki.com/topic/22984-recovery-touch-enabled-cwm-5813/
Edit: I forgot to add thank King omar as i simply used his guide just changed a couple things in the command prompt. Here is his guide : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1054492
if u already set up nvflash the drivers are still there unless you deleted them or upgraded ur system etc. I just pulled the CWM image from the nvflash folder dowladed the touch image, rename the touch image to what ever the the non touch image was and put it the nvflash folder and ran the .bat and thank everyone that made it possible. my 2¢
Edit-- I now saw that the dude above answered more clearly than me I just am stating what I did so you don't have to do commands or anything

I was wondering if anyone else was having issues flashing krylon's deodexed version of SW.
- I checked and have root and when I run CWM it says v3.0.2.8.
- It says Installation aborted.
I did chang out my FOTA files to free up space.
I'm having the same issue, I've installed everything correctly: beta 3, copied over recovery. Get into cwm fine with no issues. But everytime I flash this rom it says installation aborted.

Pixelbrain provided the answer in the development forums:
You have to unzip the file, open the folder, select all files, and zip everything in that folder.
The problem is that everything is inside that folder, which is then zipped.
The files need to be zipped directly, not inside a folder.
Thanks man times like these are when I wish my windows machine still works. Not trying to be a noob or anything. How can you zip a file on osx, unrarx doesn't provide that ability. At least not that I know of.

Can someone please upload their Infuse stock system app folder (/system/app). I am in need of those apps and can't seem to find a zip of the stock rom. I have the 2.2.1 i997UCKD5. Or if anyone knows a link for that.
Thanks in advance.

I think what you're looking for is in the stock rom packages
download gtg's unbrick.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1116251
use winRar (or similar) and right click to open the package.
everything should be in the package.
i hope this helps

You're right. I didn't realize the factory.rfs did not unpack further.
You might have to see if anyone who had odin theirs back to stock, extract it and upload it.
Can I ask why you need it?
Can you not just root your phone, use titanium back up for everything, odin back to stock and re-install your back up?
The factory.rfs can be mounted as a loop device in linux. Then you can copy any files you need.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using Tapatalk
Or just extract the factoryfs.rfs with magik iso ....20 seconds and done...all apps will be in there..easier than a loop in linux
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda premium
Depends on which OS you are using at the moment and how fast you type the mount command, really. Takes me longer to boot Windows and install Magic Iso than it does to type mount -o loop, but okay.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using Tapatalk
One click....no typing...one click extract....I do it bout 30 times a week...in windows...open majik ISO...new...select factoryfs.rfs ...right click..extract..done...
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda premium
If magik ISO is already installed then you don't have to install it.......set it as default...evenness u double click on the file it automatically launches magik iso ...extract..done
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda premium
Totally understand how it works, and if you're on Windows, it's great to have that option. It's no better an option than I offered. It is just as easy for me to type, especially when I'm already looking at a Slackware bash shell.

Thank you, guys.
Learn something new everyday.
I don't have the programming background for linux but I can do windows.
And D, I was just giving you a hard time. I'm more of a linux guy, and am surprised at how much Android hacking has me on Windows. I hadn't tried MagicIso, so thanks for the tip. I know that most on here are using Windows or Mac.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using Tapatalk
I use Linux to build and compile android....like catyrom....my other mods can easily be done in windows
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda premium
Well shoot, I just found out the hard way that I shouldn't do too much to a .rfs image while mounted as a loop device in Linux. It works okay to pull some files, but since .rfs is a proprietary file system, permissions don't stick or work quite like you would think when changing files on the mounted image. So, extracting with MagicIso may just be a better way to go anyway before manipulating these rom filesystems.

the image file needs to be in the same place that you are running fastboot from. for example i have C:/andriod abd where all my adb/fastboot drivers and .exe and such are and to flash a blob/img file i must put the file in that same folder because thats where fastboot looks for the blob/img.
ide bet money that this is your problem. and what fastboot command are you using? It would be helpful if you could be more descriptive of the steps you have tried

BTW-THANKYOU soo much for hekping
I will put more information up and pics to help-people see what I see and are doing
I actually made a file folder (I saw it on a YouTube video) and put all of the files needed for the recovery;for example
"rocovery1"=file folder (in c drive) and that folder includes the two(2) adb(.dll) files / the fastboot file (but my 'fastboot' file doesn't have an exe after it) does that matter-/and then of course the image file... ALL OF THAT IS IN A folder I named... should I have not done that? If not where would I find my adb files? Better yet how are they supposed to be listed?

Do you have adb in the directory you are in ??? I'm wiling to help but you need to answer this...
if you don't have adb installed it's pointless, 2 possibilities either you have adb installed but are not currently in the directory where it resides (you then need to navigate to the right directory using the cd command) or you don't and you need to install it and then go to that directory.

As Redpoint said if you want help you need to try to follow instructions. you posted adb_mac after i asked you to perform an "ls"in your directory so that made sense as far as getting a "no such file or directory" error if you execute by doing ./adb. Either it's not there, it's corrupted, there is typo or wrong directory, that's the only time you will get this error maybe you just want to try re-installing adb in your directory of choice.
go to directory where adb reside type "ls" and post a screenshot
