As the title says, I want to know if there is an application which starts playing music automatically as soon as phone connects to car bluetooth.
I have an application which starts the music player but thats not what I want.
After turning off the ignition (mostly on long traffic lights) when I start the car the bluetooth connection is established but the music stops playing.
My phone is SE XPERIA ARC and I'm ROOTED, so if anyone is aware of any app please do tell me.

Your best bet is going to be Tasker, but there's a bit of a learning curve.

My situation is when my 586w is paired with the car stereo (Dual XHD 7714), whenever I turn off the car engine in music streaming mode, the music playing will then switch to the phone. However if I press the pause key on the head unit before I turn off the engine, the music playing will then pause accordingly.
That's kind of annoying because I have to manually pause the music on the phone if I forget pressing a key on the head unit first before I shut the car engine down.
I've tried flashing the 6.1 & 6.5 rom from guohuageng & Gregorys but both gave me the same result.
I've also tried paring the bluetooth stereo headset to the phone and also gave me the same result.
At last I tried to connect the iphone and a sony ericsson phone with the car stereo and both devices pause the music beautifully when I turn off the car engine in the music streaming mode.
I've search through the forum and it seems no one mentions there is a problem here.
It seems to me that it is the rom problem. Do I have to registry edit or switch to another rom to solve the problem? Any help would be appreciated.
oh well, What I understand,
You want to make phone pause the music accordingly when u turn off the engine (while not pressing the pbutton on headset)
This isnt rom's problem, tis kinda problem exists with every rom coz u havent pressed any pause key on phone rather on headset. (just like in case of wired headset where if u disconnect ur wired headset and didnt pause, ur music will shift to phone speaker)
The same characteristic applies to A2DP as well
Well, it's strange. I've already tested the iphone 3G and sony ericsson phone paired with the car stereo, both phones would pause the music when I turn off the engine. But it is true that I haven't tested the other A2DP devices with those phone. Let me tested them out in the weekend and see what's happen. Thanks for your reply.
Well the subject says it all.
I am looking for any media player that will resume from pause when my bluetooth audio profile connects.
the stock media player pauses when bluetooth disconnects (good). But when you get back in the car, and the bluetooth reconnects, you have to fiddle around with the phone to get the music going again (bad).
Radiotime doesn't pause when bluetooth disconnects, which is awful because you end up walking out of your car, then suddenly the phone speaker starts blasting whatever music you had playing, making you look like a complete douche.
PowerAmp and Music Mod are both great players, both pause on BT disconnect, but neither will resume on BT connnect.
Is this something that can be implemented globally somehow?
I have had this problem ever since i got the Sensation and it doesn't matter what ROM i use, it's the same on every ROM. I have a samsung home surround sound system that i can connect to my phone through Bluetooth to enable me to play songs through the system. It works perfectly until the WIFI connection is being used on my phone. For example i could be streaming my music through BT and the WIFI is on, if the WIFI starts to be used for data like a Facebook notification or me opening my phones browser, then the song will start skipping and jumping. Normally it's not an issue but I've downloaded the Google Music App so that i can store all my songs online and that way i don't have to use my phone/cards storage space but as i want to play the music through my surround sound, i will have to be connected to both WIFI and BT.
Any suggestions why this does this?
Hello,
I would like toknow if some has this following issue and how he has resolved.
I'm using the OPO with my bluetooth handsfree in my car (ix35).
Everytime I close a Call, the phone resumes the media player and starts to play.
I've experienced this with both Power Amp and Google Play Music.
I add also that in the I've removed the check for the option Settings->Sound->Launch muisc app
Kind Regards,
Luigi
In my M235i whenever I start or switch a music app in my car Bluetooth disconnects and then reconnects withing seconds. I can see it happen on my infotainment screen. Annoying part is that after it does that it seems to not send the meta data from what I'm listening to.
Anybody else have this problem in there cars
I have problem too with my bluetooth car, sometimes freezing/jerking when played music from Deezer or YouTube. It's came with the new Android 10.
