I'm getting better battery life out of my stock battery than my extended ones, or so it seems..

If they are cheap knockoff batteries, then chances are that they aren't really the mAh they say that they are...
::edit:: found the thread where you posted the link to buying the batteries.. that's the case.
I would bet my car that they are nowhere near being 3500mAh in any measurable fashion...

Car please...
I am using Anker 2800mAh (my xda thread link), and it is giving atleast 60-70% more juice than my stock, with the same usage and location habits.

This it's on stock battery using cm9
Look at where is says estimated empty
There is either something up with my extended batteries or this app, maybe both

No big deal And then, I am not so desperate to morph the pics just to prove something/someone wrong. What I posted are actual screenshots. Anyways... pass...
Edit: See my original post. That "some" up in graph is cos that was the first run of uncalibrated battery. I have done some 3-4 cycles now, and the ups are becoming smaller n smaller. Plus see the charge indicator below. It was never on charge the entire time.

Oh wait, you mean the photos that show one battery having an estimated drain time of 29 days (clearly wrong) on an OS that is still chopped up and not even in alpha testing that in addition is notorious for having extremely inconsistent battery readings and drains. Diablo clearly gave you more than enough information in detail, with anecdotal evidence... Yet you conclude back to a set of photos that are obviously giving incorrect data.
Don't waste your time here Diablo, even though you are clearly right, you can't win this argument.
Carry on...

Mate.. once again.. I'm talking mAh.. not time online..
I agree that some batteries will run longer than stock.. you're missing me point.. I'm saying that batteries rated at insane mAh are 90% of the time not really rated at that..
What I am saying is a 3350mah battery most likely isn't really 3350..
thats all..
The point in the pic I was referring to was the mAh.. its clear it doesn't state it.. it says 1750.. but also does stock when its supposed to be 1950, so those shots are reporting false information..
I agree with that..
Assloads of Chinese batteries are trash and their ratings are false as to sell my batteries..
There are some great aftermarket batteries that are better than stock.. I just done believe most mAh ratings... not even stock batteries...
But thanks for chiming in on a conversation I was having with your unneeded snide comments since I wasn't referring to diablos battery to begin with.. I was talking about darkblade's battery..
Apples to oranges mate..
Feel free to pm me and we can talk more about it...

My take on the 1900mah anker battery on the MT4GS

So when I had my stock htc battery running RubiX I was getting about 10 hrs max on moderate use(display on for 2 hrs max). I had to charge twice a day and still had the battery die on me.. Not to mention how hot (when I say hot I mean HOT) that battery would run up to the 40degree celsius limit I had set on setcpu easily with only about 10-15 minutes straight of use!
Now that I got my anker battery I can say I am EXTREMELY pleased!! And I got it for about $16 + FREE one day shipping at amazon what a steal!
Now I get at least 15 hrs with very heavy use (3.5 hrs+ with display on). Not to mention this battery has never gotten passed 25.5 degrees celsius!! I was off the charger at about 6:30am and its now 7:52 pm and I've still got 15% of juice left! Wow!
I just can't imagine the battery performance when we get a stable UV kernel? I can't wait..
Just my 2 cents on the anker battery and if any of you are reading this don't hesitate do yourself and your MT4GS a favor and buy it!!
[EDIT]Forgot to add this is only my 2nd cycle on the first full charge and discharge break-in. And I'm at 3% with 14 hrs off the charger and 4 hrs and 23 min with display on..

Didn't want to quote the whole post, but damn now you have me anxious as ever, mine will be here tomorrow :/
I had nothing but praise for my Anker batteries on my MyTouch 4g and my sister loves her MyTouch 3g since I put a Anker in hers... If I do indeed get the galaxy nexus... I hope Anker or mugen makes one with NFC. Amazing life with these with usually only like 20% extra capacity, it always seems like more.
Thanks for this post. Appreciate it!
Edit:
Yes I forgot to add that even without the uv kernel and lack of ROMs with good battery management being taken into account, I really feel like I get such ****ty battery life compared to my MyTouch 4G.. I could go forever on that. Juice Defender doesn't even seem to help on this damned phone.
So it was really a must to get this battery.

Considering how hot the stock battery can run it is a must to get this battery. Let us know your results once you get your anker!
I know I can last over a day on this battery now I was just heavily using my phone more than the norm just to test out the performance on this battery. And as far as battery apps/etc all I use is 2x battery, battery widget for easy access to battery stats, and some setcpu tweaking profiles.

I take it you use ghost armor or use it naked? Yeah, it does bulge but I use a case so I don't see it. I never actually needed longer battery life anyways, though. I grabbed it cuz it was $25 and now I have a spare. With oem battery mine lasts well over 24 hours with 5 hours of screen on time, auto brightness, emails, weather and everything else syncing. I would never run a cheapo battery though.
greekunit690 does the one you ordered require a different battery cover? Or is it just the same size? Samsung really should make an extended battery. Actually all cell phone companies need to make the batteries bigger like the driod razr maxx

I've been using this battery since Feb 17th. The stock battery would only get me through the work day and even then sometimes barely. Now I easily can go through the evening with about 30% left before I plug it in for the night. Once I forgot and it was at 1% the next morning which the stock never would've lasted that long.
I wasn't aware we could use the Nexus extended battery. Since I use a case I may switch to that. If I can find one at a good price on Prime.
How the heck do you get 5 hours of screen time and have it last 24 hours? Even with the nexus battery juice defender running I can get maybe 3-4 hours.

Juice defender is sucking down your battery. I run Gideons script as well as some other mods. Easily go over 24 hours, usually 2 days. With the extended battery I have gone over 8 hours screen on.

Agreed, it's only a tiny little bit better or if any better than the original battery.
I ordered 2 of these and a stand alone charger off Amazon for $30. Hope I didn't waste my money! Will know when I get back home in a week and get to test them out.
Does anyone that has had luck with them have any suggestions for how to "break them in", I think the instructions show to cycle them 5 times before use?
After receiving and using an Andida for about a week I was pretty disappointed. Its about the same as the stock. Nexus Extended is better.
I have the Andida battery and I feel that it does give me 2-3 hours more on a charge. No hard facts, just my impression from using it for about a week.
My experience, it gave me about 2-3 hours like what others said. I usually got 10-13 hours. I'm personally using the Qcell 3850 mah battery now, 24+ hours

Im getting 20+ hours of medium use right now with new ICS Smoothie ROM. Used to only get about 10+ hours with Rooted GB. I'm just hoping these batteries are at lease up to par with stock battery so I have some spares and an extra charger.

Need to find a good 2000mah + battery that is not fake, my battery that came with the phone is terrible! It barely got through 5 hours of casual usage from internet surfing, skyping and texting. Not looking to increase the thickness of my phone though.

I know in that picture you don't have LTE but do you have it normally? Is there bad signal at your house? And last but not least download better battery stats off XDA for free and check for any "wake locks" otherwise known as rogue apps. They prevent your phone from falling into deep sleep.

+1 on that
Also, I know you don't have wifi on in the picture either, but check your wifi settings and make sure you don't have "Maximum wifi performance" (I don't remember the exact name, but that's the gist of it) checked. It is known to prevent deep sleep.

True, but what you do while the screen is on can make a huge difference. I watched a video of a Vergecast the other day and after almost 2 straight hours of screen time my battery only dropped 30% or so. On the other hand, if I'm doing anything that requires mobile network (HSPA+ for me), the battery drain is much more significant.
I average 7-8 hours of continuous screen-on time.

What apps are you running while the screen is on? Maybe if it's a CPU intensive program like 3D gaming?
I easily get 5+ hours of screen time typically with Wifi and LTE in good signal ranges (3 bars LTE).
I don't think I've ever seen a screen capture of battery life that bad on a HOX. My best is a CPU consuming rogue app or just really bad reception for your cell towers.

Why would I make up battery life? My battery life is exactly what I said it was. With a little modding and tweaking, it's rather easy to achieve more than 7 hours of screen-on time. Init scripts, undervolting, etc. I don't have LTE in my area, ( HSPA+ only). Most of my usage is WiFi. In that 7 hours, 90% of it is general usage, ie; Moderating on XDA, checking email, browsing the web, YouTube, etc, and a little bit of gaming (minimal).
BTW, 7 hours is not unheard of with this device, and certainly not impossible. Heck, I averaged 5-6 hours of screen-on time with my Galaxy Note.

You just might have a bad battery. I've read where a few people reported poor battery life, and got it exchanged. I'd call AT&T for a warranty replacement. One way to rule out wakelock is to actually measure for it. Perform a factory reset, don't install anything, fully charge your phone, reset battery stats, then see how much screen-on time you get.

Tried to go for 48 hours but I had to sleep.
Have ss to prove it for the haters.

I didn't think we could undervolt with s on, then again I thought a lot things and been wonderfully surprised by the awesome devs here. Would you mind sharing your setup? So far I get around 24 hours up with 3-4 hours screen on. Does the rabbit hole go deeper?

On the international HOX I cant get more than 2-3 hours of screen on time. This is with some wifi on, simple games (not intense graphics), web browsing and some flash though. But I think that is average especially because I watch a lot of flash vids.
I use Leedroid ROM.
I get 6.5 hours of screen time if I'm just browsing the web and using XDA developers. Of course, none of these claims matter with out knowing the brightness or data connection. I was on WiFi the entire day and 45% brightness. I have a screenshot in the cleanrom thread...
But yeah, I would do a factory reset, install cleanrom and see how long you get. I was only getting 2.5 hours previously on stock AT&T.

Great Scott, how could I have been so silly, thank you sir for showing me the last piece to the puzzle. I've been using that module for some time now and just now realized I can modify voltages. Woohoo!
