I seem to recall that it worked on weapon g2x, any clue about any ics roms?
It works with some other music players from the market, just not the stock one in ics

Any stock ROM. Weapon G2x is based on stock and it's really good, I'd recommend that.

I don't think Weapon would work for him since its 2.3.3, if he's trying to use netflix.
...unless netflix is working now for Weapon which if that's true when did that happen?
Edit 9/22/11: netflix has received an update and it works w/ weapon now!

You are sol. The roms that work with Netflix don't work with HDMI and the roms that have HDMI working Netflix don't work.

Its a fantastic rom and I know netflix works on it, and a friend of mine says he is using the same rom and that HDMI is also working on it.
Sorry cant say for sure (cant find my HDMI cable to try for you)
hope this helps!
CM7 nightly 143 works for me for Netflix and HDMI to my 1080p tv. At a friends house I couldn't get it to work (the HDMI) and after a lot of digging realized that CM7 HDMI only works on 1080, he had a 720 tv. CM hasn't built the HDMI setting that were in the stock rom, which exist in a lot of other roms though, like miui and xboarder, which netflix might work with if your tv is 720. Good luck.
CM7 works with HDMI
I just rooted and installed CM7 yesterday. I installed Netflix and am using it at this very moment with the HDMI connection.
G2x with CM7 2.3.5
noob...sorry about the lawn thing
I am running CM7 nightly build 146. My HDMI works flawlessly with netflix, but when I try to stream an avi/divx file it drops out. It comes back for a minute or so and drops again. I am thinking of changing to trigger, but other than the HDMi the phone is kick ass. Decisions, decisions...

Does centered elements, such as drums, almost completely disappear? Not sure what could cause that, unless some dsp function somewhere filters the audio to leave only sidechannels centered, which usually will leave only rock guitars/hardpanned elements.

Maybe you have the 3D sound on in music fx. I always turn off the 3D function.

Tried this function too but no positive response.. I can not even imagine what could be the problem.

I have exactly same observation - bad sound via headphones.
It look like some kind of "3d sound" feature on headphopes. Sound via speaker is correct.
(2-3 JB roms)
Any solution ?
Been using ics roms for a while now. I just notice that the app I have been using called equalizer is not working with my HTC music. The setting that I have made on it will not take effect. Is this a known issue and how can I fix it?
Thanks

Hi looks like we have the same problem i upgrade to ICS and found out that Equalizer is not yet compatible with ICS, though I really like it coz it produce good quality on the music player combined with the Beats. Gotta wait for that officially from developer. So there's nothing we can do for now

Equalizer is the only reason I went back to gingerbread. Volume+ is working with ICS roms , but is not like in gingerbread.

Firstly, HELLO FELLOW SINGAPOREANS!
And yes, sadly, Equalizer is currently not compatible with ICS ROMs. But don't you fret, it should be compatible soon!
Cheers!
Good evening,
I have an annoying problem since I have ICS installed -> no equalizer apps work for me.
According to the description they run on ICS (to be confirmed by other users as well) but for me showing all the equalizer just after I turned them on no effects. Nothing changes. Anyone has an idea why is that and how can I fix it?
Thank you.

Hi,
I use Player Pro.
The equalizer is fully adjustable, and sticks even after a reboot.
use the cyanogenmod 9 music player
CyanogemMod 9 ICS music player ! It comes with a nice equalizer with 3d effect and equalizers.
PowerAMP's equalizer works as well.
Equalizer works fine for me. I'm on ARHD 6.5.5 with faux kernel

Im having the same troubles too, DSPManager, Volume+ ect ect...
The only one that does work for me is the Beats MOD that is in the apps section, But they are only stock presets, Not something i can adjust..

Google Play Music isn't available here.
=> Now on ARHD 6.6.2, bricked kernel v0.8, LeeDroid Tweaks 4.1 and still no Equalizer works for me
I am wonder is there any audiophile oriented ROM for Sensation XE BeatsAudio ?
The most decent ROMS were CM7 ports, but since it dissapears, there is no any ROM audio oriented. Especially for persons with hearing dissfunction as I am myself who needs louder volume output.
I have tried all modds and variations and even ultimate producted Pink Floyd sounds "boxy" bad on ICS based ROMs..
Also Volume+ or any loudness app does not work as good as it works on CM7.
I tried out almost all ROMS avaluable here, and nothing found. Does it really seems that I have to go back to oldschool CM7.
I forgot to mention that I do use headphones model Sennheiser HD800.
Virtuous rom whit the play music app i can tell you it sounds freaking good ! I am no audiophile (not yet) but sounds feels good

What are you using for a DAC and headphone amp as Sensation DAC as I can't imagine the Sensation driving those cans very well.

If you are an audiophile why don't you buy an app for this purpose?
I use PowerAmp Pro and it really fulfill my needs. Also, sounds is not really related with rom but more with kernel, so it is up to you to find the "good" kernel.

Running Elegancia with Bricked sound is so-so but as soon as I load the latest SebastianFM' s v1.52 kernel sound is awesome. And I am an audiophile.

Can you explain a bit how sound is related to kernel? I'm a bit of an audiophile myself, not so much with the Sensation but I'm just curious how the kernel plays into it? I'm currently on Bricked 1.4 kernel.

The simpliest comparison I can do, consider the kernel as the equivalent of a Windows driver. Windows can provide a music player but sound will be rendered by the driver.
