Hay guys, just a very quick question about your sense 4.0 Roms...
I have a HTC One X so I can't test your roms, but I'm interested to know if any of the bugs that have been found with the one X have been fixed on your ports.
Do you live wallpapers freeze when you change homescreens? Also do you get screen corruption in the browser app? Do you have movie editor? And does it force close all the time?
I'm interested because some friends have sensations and I would like to know how buggy sense 4.0 is on your phones... Also what do you think is the best sense 4 Rom?
Thanks

Live Wallpapers seem fine, I'm using the Sense streak one.
Haven't had any screen corruption in the Browser.
Just tried Movie Editor briefly and it didn't force close.
I'm using Insert Coin.

I recently received the OTA from T-mobile and have been trying to get non HTC made skins to work on my device.
I've tried numerous skins eg: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1144572 and none seem to work.
I install them without a problem, then I look in the skins menu and there are just the stock skins sitting in there.
Is this down to the skins being a bigger resolution and not being compatible with the resolution of the desire s?
I'm guessing that this is the smallest resolution device that is currently using sense 3.0.
I'd be over joyed if a dev ported a custom skin that worked with the desire s, as the stock skins are plain boring.
Anyone got any ideas?
Same issue here, too.

Same issue! We need support

Unfortunately this is down to Android 2.3.5 not Sense 3.0
Without the correct tools, we cannot change things like the lock screen and bottom bar. When the m10 tools are updated, then that'll all change.

Ah ok. Well thanks for the info! hopefully you guys will get the tools you need

On pretty much all android phones, the wallpaper scrolls as you navigate left and right through your screens. On the sensation however, sense 3 fixes it since you can scroll all the way round. This is annoying. Before I rooted and flashed my phone, SPB shell allowed scrolling wallpapers again, even though that too can go all the way round your screens. Since flashing though, it's fixed, even with the non standard launcher. Is there any way I can mod this without changing roms?
The only way to re-enable it is to use a different launcher.
eg Launcher Pro
Most launchers have an option to turn wallpaper scrolling on and off. Unfortunately Sense 3.0/3.5 doesn't
I know sense 3 and 3.5 doesn't, but my spb shell launcher used to scroll until I flashed a different rom.

Does anyone know why it won't scroll any more on my different launcher? It did before I flashed any roms, but I don't see why a rom change would stop a completely different launcher from behaving the same as before?

Try wallpaper wizardrii but not with sense launcher

The qHD screen is capable of 1080x960 scrollable wallpapers but HTC ruined everything with its carousel thingy (pseudo-3D transitions).
Sense 3.5 would have been the best rom ever if it didn't have this limitation
Perhaps the next Sense with ICS will have back scrollable wallpapers...

Thanks, I'll give it a go, not using the sense launcher anyway.

Tried it, it's an editor. It won't automatically allow my launcher to scroll wallpapers again, and it'll only work on static wallpapers anyway, live wallpapers should also scroll normally.

Silly question but did they remove the weather from the lock screen? I had an inspire a while ago, got rid of it and now found myself with one again. Figured I'd ask. Is there an option or is it just gone?
Not according to the reviews of official Sense 4 from the One series that I've read. I'm not running a Sense ROM currently, so I can't help beyond that.
I'm actually using a sense rom right now and the weather lockscreen is set and is working

It could be because you were looking at a Sense4A from for the one v, which is a lighter version of sense.

Is there a sense 4 Rom without this problem yet?
I know that development only goes so fast and I am VERY greatful for where we are I just want to know.
I would think that the new ruu would have fixed this.

Inverted front-facing-camera is a known bug in Sense 4 ROMs.
Camera's are like the human-eyes, they capture the imagine inverted, process it and flip it round, then display it to the user. Something will be broken somewhere =)
All Sense 4 ROMs are ports remember, Sense 4 never came to the XE natively, bugs are expected They'll be fixed in time my friend.

Ok thanks for the reply! I just don't understand why they don't list it in the op of the sense roms. Hhh oh well. Thanks again!

Hey all,
I was wondering if there is a way to PORT Sense to AOKP so I can have a mix of both. I'd be willing to look into doing it myself or with some guidance. I'm buying my girlfriend a HOX soon and she likes the AOKP on my One V but at the same time, she (for some reason) likes Sense (especially the animated weather, clock, etc. widgets). If someone knows of a ported version of the Sense widgets (with the animations), then that would also work.
Thanks, worldindo1.
If it could be done, I think it would have already been done. Someone correct me if I'm wrong..

There is no aokp sense yet. There is a sense 4.5 port but it's very unstable. Buy her beautiful widgets. It has the big fancy clock and weather animations your girlfriend likes
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda app-developers app
It may be possible to port some aokp features to a specific sense ROM but I've seen someone try and port some sense elements and it isn't that easy to make each app dependant upon itself instead of the sense framework
Sent from my One X using Tapatalk 2
The proprietary Sense features require a Sense base. No one has found a way around this and isn't likely to because the code for Sense is not open-source.
There are several Sense roms with AOKP elements.

If you want the actual Sense clock, you have to use the Sense launcher. No way otherwise.
However you could use HD widgets to get a Sense like clock and flash CleanRom Dev to get a Sense ROM with AOSP styling.

Or search for fancy widget. Its an exact copy of the sense clock minus the animations

Thanks for the tip! Just bought it and now I'm playing around with it myself.
Yeah i'd also like the combo aokp+sense. I must say mine n ur gf's thought are alike.
+1 for beautiful widgets. Use that and find a good sense theme for the theme chooser. There's like 3 or 4 in the android themes section here on xda alone. The average user wouldn't be able to tell the difference
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1655946
Technically almost anything is "possible", but rohan32 explained the complexity of porting the Sense camera here, and I assume the same applies to other Sense apps and widgets.
Basically, the amount of work to port over Sense components makes it infeasible. And you would have to port the Sense launcher as well, as even on Sense based ROMs, if you ditch the launcher, you lose the widgets. At that point, you may as well just be using a Sense ROM.
