No Wifi/4G After "Soft Brick Recovery" - Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G

I rooted my Galaxy S Blaze two days ago and it was working fine. Then I decided to get rid of some of the bloatwares and I might have deleted apps than I should've so my phone was not working correctly. So I decided to revert back to factory settings using the "Soft Brick Recovery" method. I followed the instructions very carefully. Now my phone can't access the internet. I can connect to both Wifi and 4G but still have no internet access. Can any help me figure this out please?? I've only had the phone for a couple of days and I'm afraid I might have made this useless...

Have you tried a factory reset?
Sent from my NookColor using Tapatalk 2

Yea. I tried the factory reset and that solved the problem. Thanks for your help.

[Q] Accidentally removed custom rom.

So I today a friend of mine deleted the zip files from my phone that had cognition and my root file on them. I've tried reloading them onto the phone's memory but my phone still won't function. It powers on (and even gives me the cognition load screen and unlock) but does not load. Please help.
I would love if someone can help me return this to factory spec instead of cognition rom. It froze too many times.
Again I'm trying to get my phone working again and factory specs would be ideal. thanks guys.

Yea. That link you gave me is for fresh out the box t959v. After reading it a couple times. It doesnt have anything for rooted phones. I want to know how to upgrade with a already rooted phone with froyo to gingerbread.

You need the KJ6 Heimdall One-Click. The guide for it is in the second post in that same thread. Look again.

It doesn't really matter whether your phone is rooted or not, that's the beauty of these phones. Just follow lumin's instructions and you'll be set.
He can't use Kies mini because he is rooted. I think he only saw the guide in the first post and that is why he thought it wouldn't work.
Which one would i use? Bootloader or non bootloader? Again.... thanks for all the information. It is highly appreciated.

[Q] ICS update interrupted by CWM! Why?

I have the Skyrocket (of course) and recently downloaded ICS OTA, or some sort of update. The phone rebooted as normal, but gave me the Clock Work Mod screen. I rebooted the phone from there and got a nice error message on my home screen saying the update was interrupted. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sent from my SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
Maybe im wrong but to do an update like that dont you have to be on stock recovery not cwm. I know some of the experts will chime in. FYI make sure you put things like this in Q&A for future ref.
I'm not sure if it was ICS or not. But I simply clicked on "Check for updates" under device management and I have one. The phone downloads the update but when it restarts I get the CWM Recovery screen. I'm new to Clock Work, but I went ahead and restored my phone to a previous setting through Rom Manager and tried again. Same thing. Do I need to disable CWM?

First thing you need to specify, are you with rogers? Which phone do you have exactly?
flash the recovery file from sammobile through odin. Which also has ICS tar for the Rogers equivalent. Download the file, flash through odin. There is an All in one guide for noobs near the top of the general forum with layed out instructions, just find the post you need on the front page and follow those instructions. It should be listed under returning to stock or unrooting.
i would download the ICS tar from sammobile and use the method in the guide.

Check and see if your IMEI is still intact. Go to Settings, About Phone, Status and scroll down and locate the IMEI line, it SHOULD NOT be all zero's. If it is, you've lost it in the flashing of your ROM.

Well I just Odin'd back to stock, re-rooted and flashed synergy. Again, no texting or calling ability, yet I still have data. I'm outdoors in the middle of the city, so there's no reason it shouldn't be working.. I decided to call Verizon as well just to see, and they can't figure out what's going on either. The SIM card shouldn't be bad if I'm getting full 4G, right? Maybe I'll run down and pick up a new one to try.

Now that you're re-rooted, do the steps I linked to in my initial reply that are in the second post of CM10.1 thread. See if that helps. You don't need a new sim, it's a known issue with CM10.1.

[How to] Unbrick MF3 Custom Recovery Fail

I figured that I might post this to help some people as I see this posted a lot.
Are you one of the ones that tried to install a custom recovery on the MF3 update? Are you facing a never ending boot sequence or device just freezing at boot screen?
Try this to help you get a normal boot so your phone is at least usable. (Note that your factory recovery will no longer work!)
First off, do a battery pull.
After you put the battery back in (make sure it's not plugged up) go into download mode.
Click Cancel instead of continuing into download mode. Chances are your device will boot up normal. I've tried this with a device I own and also tried it on a few others (through PM and chat online).
If this works for you please let me know!
Lol I figured this out in 2 mins of owning the phone.

If you're stuck in download mode and cannot get to your OS, I think that counts as a brick! Yes, btw, post 11 in the first thread I linked shows the solution which I have been telling others to do...which you did us the favor of making a post about as well. I agree that it's good to make this post, though I think your thread title could be more useful if you edited it.
Also, should this method not work for some people, an alternative method is a good thing to have.

I think my suggestion in post #8 is still a good one.
Your current thread title makes it sound like you tried to flash a custom recovery on MF3 and it didn't work. There's no way anyone would read that title and think there's a "How To" guide in it.
Alright maybe that will work.

This is how I fixed my brick.
Flashed this file in ODIN. Now my phone boots normally. Got it from another thread with a diff issue here on XDA. I tried it and it worked. Wish I could remember where and what the thread was called. I believe it was this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2360859
