How would one go about porting the music app from the latest miui ROM to another ROM?

I would like the ics, but as long as it will work on non miui roms and plays WMA files I don't care

This works on non-MIUI ROMs. Haven't tried WMA though.

Or you can try out one of the 5 versions of stock Rom... Oh wait we already have a stock rom...

1) Make your subject line more descriptive please.
2) MIUI is not ready yet. MIUI depends on a working CM7 base, and our CM7 port is still a work in progress with a bunch of broken things.
Are you guys digging the Apollo music app? I think i may have liked the old music player from cm7 better. I haven't played with it much but i seen a few requests for it. Is there any advantages with having Apollo over the older style music app?

Only difference is a different layout and more themes. It's just a music player, do it doesn't have any equalizers. Only downside is that there aren't that many settings

I tried out jet audio last month but was totally disgusted, by the UI.

So i extracted music.apk from cm7 and tried to put in on my cm9 bulls but i am getting an unexpected error. What other counter posts would i need for it to work? Anyone know?

Extract it, put it in system/app, and i think fix permissions. If it doesn't work, then try just installing it. That worked for when i put Apollo on aokp.

That didn't work. I think there might be some associated files kind of like Swype.

I'm pretty sure the CM7 player has dependencies that aren't in ICS based roms

But if you're saying it didn't work or something, it only works on miui or gb roms. Not sure about ics or jb though. Also it won't work for sense unfortunately

There are PLENTY of camera apps in the Play Store.
Seconded. I don't remember one being a copy of the iphone camera...but the iPhone camera is just a button with a flash control. Just use a normal camera app, and don't use the extra features.

Nice find. I just installed RocketMIUI when I shifted back to MIUI ROMs recently and it already has SNote working on it so I didn't even realize that this was an issue. lol

Tried with paranoid android cm10. After doing the steps and rebooted my phone bootlooped. Froze at my bootanimation.

I know that og was clearly for MIUI, i only tried since someone asked if it worked on AOKP. I got curious and tried, i even expected that it would not work, but hey it was worth a shot.
