Dolphin Browser HD was updated to 8.0.0 the other day, and prior to that I was able to visit sites like Twit.tv and ipad.tvcatchup.com and it would ask me which video player I wanted to open the stream with
I would normally pick the stock video player and it would play the stream
Now though, its just asking me to save the stream as a file and if I try to open it with any video player, it says it can not play this type of video
I did manage to get twit.tv to work with MX Video Player after finding a new stream link, but tvcatchup refuses to play
Even if I goto the downloads folder and tell it to open with the stock video player it refuses to work
I can't understand why a browser update would stop a video player working though
Stock .17 ICS
Anyone got any ideas? Ive tried different video players and they all fail to play the stream
cheers
Its one of those dreadful 'features' as I've come to find out, downloading the whole video instead of streaming, but it's broken :/ Should be fixed in the next update. If you managed to get ahold of the 8.0 beta instead of the 8.0 public release it should still work as before, its on the web somewhere I'm sure.

I`ll have a hunt for 8.0 beta thanks
Just worked out that telling stock browser to request desktop site allows streaming to the stock video player again but Dolphin I think downloads the wrong playlist file and subsequently the video player doesn't know what to do with it
EDIT - 8 beta does the same thing
EDIT - Found and installed 7.6.0 and all streams are working again

Hi,
I have suddenly encountered the problem. I can search for videos but when I open the video to watch, at first I get the YouTube logo top bar in the player, and the "Loading" symbol, but these disappear after 3-4 seconds and nothing happens. I tried this on many videos. I haven't touched the settings on the player, and until a week ago I was watching YouTube videos without any problems.
Any ideas what can be wrong?
I have the same problem. At first i thought i did something wrong.I reinstalled application, then afterwards i even had a change of Rom and windows 6,5 reinstalled, then installed 1.3.6 version, nothing does not work on youtube.
Maybe youtube changed something?Should i send an email to the creators of the program?I am a registered user of it.
It is annoying as i would want to view youtube with my mobile.
Ya! My coreplayer cannot play the videos on youtube too. It displays sth like FFFFFFF(error code). Can sbd help us?
It's YouTube's fault. They are again changing something about the way their videos are encoded. No idea why.
The guy who created mVu Mobile Viewer - bik2000 - said so, when I asked him why I was unable to play YouTube videos from his program (which launches CorePlayer anyway).
I guess/hope that when the change YouTube are doing is final, CorePlayer will be released in a new version, which will once again be able to play the videos. Till then, the only option is to first download the video, then play it in CorePlayer or TCPMP.

Cool app thanks
Well, until the CorePlayer issue is resolved, I'm using YouTube application to watch youtube vids on my PPC. I'm finding it very neat and I love it even more than CorePlayer.
This is how you get it:
From PIE (not from NetFront Browser or Opera).
Go to: m.youtube.com/app
Wait a moment and the .CAB download will start.
Install and enjoy.
I tried going to the link using NetFront Browser 4.0 and Opera 10 and I was directed to a page that says my device is not supported. So it seems you only have to use pocket IE to download the application.

Hello. Can anyone recommend a video player that will play mms:// video streams other than yxplayer? yxplayer just locks up on my stream. I am trying to hit a surveillance stream that I have going at my house. The only way I can currently pick up audio is off of my mms:// stream. I'm on wifi when I'm trying to view it, but yxplayer will not play it for anything.
Hi,
I am using xperia x10. But not able to play all video formats on it. Pls help me by providing which player to be downloaded??????
I use Vplayer Alpha for most videos that the default player won't play.
No one has any other option for mms:// video streams other than yxplayer?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=501131
Real Player for Android supposedly can do it, I am getting the info from a CSR now.
http://real.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/7927
I see no option in real player to load a stream. Also myplayer...I can't find it in the android market place. It just says not found.

Well, after following this link (couldn't find it in the android market), searching and downloading myplayer's apk from another location, and side loading it.... it is not what I am looking for. It only streams from some BBC feeds and other live TV stations.
What I need is a program that will let me play live streamed mms:// asf video streams and actually let me select the url for the stream. yxplayer lets me start it, but then it just totally locks up If yxplayer actually worked I would buy that, but I am not having any luck getting it to work with my stream. It's a valid address and the stream works on Windows PCs. I've seen other requests out there too for something that does this, but I haven't found anything that actually works.
hi,
can you find any solution for your problem
I search everywhere I can, but not able to find a real solution
yx player is not stable i guess
Nope. I still have not found anything out there that works to stream mms:// streams. It is amazing to me that there is nothing out there that does this. I was hoping Vplayer beta would do it as they just put out an update with the ability to open a URL, but nope. I am still waiting and looking. If anybody figures out a way to do this let me know. None of the above suggestions work.
Hallo I have an IP camera that does not stream mjpeg but streams only .asf video. the camera is a Linksys WVC54GC.
I've tried about 10 players but the only one that let me stream the video from everywhere (means both from lan and from internet: i.e. 192.168.1.115/img/video.asf and my-ddns:115/img/video.asf[/url])
is VPlayer.
hope it helps...i've fighted a lot before find it...
the only one 'compromise' that I had to do is to make a free access to the camera (no username / no password) because the player is unable to manage usr/pwd access...I hope they will add this feature in next updates...
Hi,
Have you found something what can able play mms streaming ?
Hi, as I wrote before, the only one i've found Is Vplayer...
Have you tried it?
They give one day of free full use, then you have to buy it.

Hi community !
I'm refering to the huge community here because I have an issue with my TF700 when I'm trying to watch streaming videos on dpstream.net
We I have received my tab, I've directly installed the adobe flash player for ICS package.
I'm used to Chrome, so I installed it. When I was going to dpstream.net, I was able to watch movies without any problem.
Then suddenly (or not suddenly but I can't figure what was the trigger) I wasn't able to watch streaming movies anymore. BUT, when using the stock browser (so not chrome anymore), it was still working.
The problem is that, since yesterday, nothing is working ! Neither Chrome nor the stock browser.
What am I supposed to do ?
For your information,
- I'm able to watch Youtube from the browser (so not using Youtube App).
- I'm able to watch movies on dpstream from my laptop (so not an issue with my account there)
- When I'm clicking on Flash Player Settings (on my TF700 / Applications), it opens a browser but empty (no settings available).
Does someone has a suggestion to solve this issue ?
Thanks in advance !
What format is the video streaming in? If it's divix or avi then I don't know if those can be played through a browser. When I've tried streaming those formats I get a unsupported format icon. I can play flash video streams using stock or boatbrowser. I don't know about chrome as I don't use it. I think chrome does not support adobe flash player so it wouldn't work. You can also try setting the browser to load as a desktop and not a mobile site.
Android browser prompts me to open MX PLAYER to watch network Live streaming. Opening MX PLAYER I get video but no sound. My tablet is Lenovo ideapad A10 using android 4.2.2 and ARM CORTEX A9.

Hi!
Download Dolphin Browser from Google Play.
and then go to:
dolphin lab - search for it in Google
and download flash player
Set flash player as "always on" in settings of Dolphin Browser and set user agent as PC.
You can also download adblock from Dolphin Lab but in some cases you need to disable it (sidebar) to watch a stream.
Without dolphin browser and flash player I dont have any sound as well:/ Maybe somebody will help with this issue? I would prefer to watch streams without flash player (it "eats" my battery really fast) but without sound I stay with the flash player solution. Soon I will have the Lollipop update and it seems that flashplayer no longer works with Dolphin Brower under Android L.
PS. Im not allowed to post external links (I need at least 10 post on XDA forum) so if you have a problem then send me a message.

Thanks fo
Thanks for your reply.I use android stockbrowser for watching live streaming through flash, but i think the quality of video is better playing it by 3rd party media player.I tested also other media players but unfortunatelly no sound!!!Maybe the fault is hiden not in media players, but somewhere else in the decryption of the audio files.
Hi all, I posted this in the Android Help thread but got no answer so figured I'd try here instead.
like the title says I'm having trouble figuring out how (or if it's even possible) to make the browser prompt me to choose "Play Online" or "Download" after clicking a video link like it used to on Marshmallow... Assuming I want to play browser videos using MX Player instead of ****ty in-browser HTML5 players, is there anyway I can make this happen on Nougat without having to copy paste the link to MX Player manually?
I use Tugapower Nougat (coming from RR Marshmallow), UC and Dolphin Browser (Flash On-Demand + JavaScript On). For MX Player I'm using latest version with the setting to Play Media Links checked. All the same apps+settings I had on marshmallow.
Is this an android nougat issue, a Rom or app issue?? If anyone knows how to disable the built-in dolphin video player that'd be useful info too. Just don't understand why it doesn't work on Nougat but worked on marshmallow. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
