i need help on making my already somewhat cm7 theme transparent status bar more transparent. so i was wondering what all png's i need to pull from that themes res folder? and will i need to edit any xml's too? thank you for any and all help.

i have seen many "glass" statusbar and other transparent ones, however, they are not fully transparent as they still have this rectangular shape to it at the top of the screen, also, the signal strength still has its own black background
would someone kindly make a morph that would enable a fully transparent status bar, with the icons found in desire notification bar?
and when a pull down is done, the bar turns black and the pull down background is also black transparent like the nextheme?

- fully transparent will make any white text unreadable when there is an app with a white background like the browser running.
- there are signal strength morphs with a transparent bg. check the morphs thread
you could just take the desire status bar morph and make the status bar background image transparent...

i thought of that, but i didnt find a morph that only applies transparency to my current status bar
try this one. As I said above there are serious limitations when its 100% trans.

Can you compile a theme that is not 100% clear, but something like 90% -
Looks like the Glass Status Bar - i've tried downloading the Glass status bar a few times but it does not work for me on Cyanogen 5.0.6 - AT ALL.
one time it even crash my rom so bad i had to nand restore!

You can try it with the newest metamorph version. cyanogen rom makes a bit troubles by patching the framework-res.
Stericson has made an option in his app, that allows us, to apply the morphs not too fast.
I don't know why, but on mcr roms its easier to make metamorphs.

When download your Glass Status Bar i got the error with
"he theme you selected is invalid because the theme control file could be missing.........." - i have the latest metamorph from market,
What am I doing wrong?
Then you have renamed the *.zip file I think. (Or it's renamed by your download manager)
The name of zip file AND the *xml file must be the same or you get the error.
Before applying the morph, press menu and choose a not so speedy value.
Hey fellow neighbors(as we are a community) lol. Is there anyway to get a transparent, smoked, or a custom colored status bar? I'm asking for the status bar, and not the notification scroll down. If it is possible, it would be greatly appreciated if you comment or pm me on how to do it. Or if it really easy and simple. Can you possibly post some kind of flashable zip. I'm on ICBINB froyo with sweet acid theme. Thanks guys!

you can mdify one in uto kitchen or take out the file out of your framework and use photoshop or any other grapic editor and make it yourself just use the origonal as a blueprint also make sure your layer is a transparency and not solid to make it see though
i use photoshop or gimp depening on linux or windows

How would i go about using UOT Kitchen for a froyo rom? Do i take the twframework and the frameworkres from sweet acid or what? I thought transparent status bars were only for gingerbread lol. Thanks Raver!
Take the framework to uto cook the status bar solid color then change the transparency on it

Is there a way to change the status bar to a transparant one without having to flash some kind of tweaks?
I kina like my phone setup as it is right now (VI401 with nova prime) and have a hidden toggle to hide the statusbar on my homescreen.
The bar stay's visible at the lockscreen, whilst the info is verry handy, the black bar covers some of my wallpaper, and i don't like it this way.
Would it be possible to change the PNG file(s) with a transparant one at some location? Where would that/these locations be?
I'n quit new to android, and have no developpers skills. Finding correct dirs and making my own PNG files is no pob for me.

I already did some modification the status bar to make it transparent, but one thing that annoy me a lot is the divider of the toogle of quick setting, I can't find any similar image.png in drawable hdpi as well as an XML in res/layout, anyone here can help where those dividers are located? or tell me the location of XML code? for further information, see the attachment (red-circled ones)
If you just want a transparent status bar, restore everything like it was before, then install Xposed Framework and Gravitybox, and you can set a transparent status bar there.

ya, if you need just to make it transparent, Gravity box is all you need.
But for the dividers, there is nothing in it. Please let me know if you find out anything about the dividers. :good:
