I'm using the latest rom CM9[04.04.12] but it seems that I can't access data connection. I lived in the Philippines. I flashed sbf first before upgrading, Russian version. After installing updates including baseband [Russian version also], no luck with 3G, Edge, etc.
Note:
I brought my phone (Milestone XT720) in Dubai, UAE. I haven't got the chance to check the ORIGINAL SBF before upgrading. Now I always use the Russian version everytime I update and have the same Problem
Anyone can help me about this problem?
One thing I'm not sure I understand is if you're saying (a) it used to work with the Russian sbf and it recently stopped working specifically on CM9 or (b) it used to work in the original sbf but it hasn't worked for any rom since flashing the Russian sbf? i.e. have you isolated the problem to the sbf or to CM9?
You may be able to figure out what your original sbf was from markings. At least on mine, the sticker behind the battery gives a clue which sbf went originally. Compare the build numbers listed here with your sticker http://droid-developers.org/wiki/SBF:XT720 For example, mine says "STR_U2_04.1E.1" -- which could be either the Cincinnati Bell or Brightpoint ROMs (the differences between CBW and Brightpoint ROMs are trivial).
I meant eversince I upgraded my Rom. Back to my original stock, it used to work fine. I can't find any sticker at the back of the battery that says something like yours.
I'm sorry for such trouble. I really appreciate your help.

I came from U.S. t-mobile firmware.
After RSDlite my phone w/ Chinese Retail Defy 2.21 firmware, Camera LED doesn't work properly. ( only flash once )
Well.... I am not going to get into higher firmware that is NOT downgrade-able.
So, I found a camera program called "Vignette" from Market able to turn the LED Flash on during photo shooting.
* but it is still remain greenish.....
Anyway, those who prefer "retail" firmware, this "Vignette" program might be a "quick fix" until experts came out w/ true solution.
Didn't work for me. jBoogie froyo beta 3
Strange, I flashed tenfar's and doesn't have this problem at all...?

Tks for update, is your handset original from the U.S. T-mobile and currently on retail Chinese firmware?
I don't really use flash, but it just "bother" me a lot knowing something I have doesn't work "properly".
Hi All,

Use the same process for the EU UK Xoom, which is also an MZ601.
Hi
I did this today with mine, following these guides in the following order, the first one roots the 3.0.1 install our xooms shipped with, and the second one handles the upgrade to 3.1 and rooting on 3.1

Hi, I previousy flashed my xoom with the clockworkmod recovery images (HC 3.1), (which are US) and i dont have 3g anymore... is there a way to flash back to euro/AU stock or rooted (idk i just want 3g back lol)?
thanks in advance!
Upgrading to 3.1 and keeping 3g ??
Has anyone with a Telstra Xoom upgraded to 3.1 and kept 3g??
I have rooted my stock xoom now want to enable the SD and upgrade to 3.1 but would like to have a functioning 3g
I am having trouble finding the guide to enabling the sdcard. I have installed clockworkmod but it is useless without the sdcard ???
Help need ..... I am wondering if anyone out there are able to send me the files to enable 3g on Telstra as described in this post.
My situation is a follows. I have an Australian Telstra xoom and tried one of the 1 click root programs. After much pain and research I now realise 2 things. 1/ this completely stuffed by device, it now hangs at the logo on boot. 2/ even if it did work it is for US networks only. I have worked my way through the posts and have managed to recover the device by fastbooting with the euro boot.img described in this post. Problem is no 3g. This post provides a description of how to extract the Telstra 3g files for the device before it gets trashed. I did not do this. So I am assuming I now need to source these files from someone who has a working Telstra xoom.
Can anyone out these assist......

I Have the same problem! i tried to root my telstra xoom and got bricked.
I then flashed the german images.
I have now updated to HC 3.1, from the german rom to the us one, (i used this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1089695) hoping that it may fix the carrier probs, to no avail.
I can see the telstra network (as well as vodafone etc.) but the xoom doesnt connect to it, and if i try to manually pick the network, it says "registered on network" but i still dont have network access
Edit: Would someone be able to upload the files from their working telstra xoom, so that we can push them to ours in a last ditch effort?
Frustrating isn't it... I think if we can get someone to rip the telstra comms (as described in the original post) files off a working AUS Telstra Xoom we may be ok. This is a bit of a guess but worth a try?
see thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1100372
which may have your answer
yes have a look at the thread suggested above as I have been the one posting to that and the files have fixed my 3g problems. Now connected to telstra no probs.
See my recent post on that thread as I still have a remaining problem with wifi.
YAY

Thanks So Much! (+1) I got it working now, with 3.01, couldnt make 3.1 work... but i dont care. as long as it works!
Hi all, I also have a Telstra Xoom (MZ601).
I have already upgraded to 3.1 and the Tiamat deodexed ROM 1.0, but before I did that I made a nandroid backup of the original images.
Like most people, I do not have 3G data capability, but I can apparently make and receive phone calls, so it is sort of working.
I have the original build.prop and other images; would they help?
Does anyone have or know how to get the official 3.4.2_179.6 T-Mobile UK SBF?
I just got my defy back from being repaired and it had this version installed when I got it back. I flashed the 177 nordic sbf and CM7, but now I've noticed the the camera focus never works, so I need to send it back again under warranty. I think they might notice that the software has changed
Also, does anyone know what the motorola software update tool checks? Could I change something in the build.prop or whatever file it is then use the motorola software update program?
yes i have the full sbf...will upload it in few hours..

Basically i got a xoom 3g a week ago i unlocked, rooted, backed up, and flashed ics. Ive been having trouble with the screen, its does not respond to my touch quite alot of the times, i need to take it back for warranty.
I restored my back up of honeycomb which is where im at now
Im in australia and baught it on a optus 3g plan. Build is h.6.5-17-1 (does not appear on motorola website)
I need to get rid of cwm recovery and replace it with the original boot loader and also lock the device but keep the current build.
Im very new to this and have no idea what im doing, help would be appreciated, please reply as if i was a 5 year old.
Thx
Check the stock files stickied at the top of the General section. You are likely to find what you're looking for there. Those stock image files are usually earlier builds...if you flash the correct one for your device you should be able to update OTA to the build that you had originally. Just make sure that it is the correct one for your device.
If you rooted, you should be able to restore.
thanks. I flashed the Telstra files and it all works, but the problem is im with Optus ( a difgerent Telco) I cant find those roms anywhere.
When I flashed the telstra 3g rom it places the carriers app, and changes settings and bookmarks etc for the carrier.
I need an optus 3g rom to flash, i dont care what version as long as can run ota to bring it up to 3.2 (which is what i purchased it as stock standarD)
Hi,
I am hoping somebody can help me out. I need to unroot my phone and put it back to completely stock ROM so that it looks as though it has never been rooted. I am not running a custom ROM, however I have removed things from the stock ROM (stock browser, SMS and probably other things) when I first bought the phone so I need to be able to get those back. I assumed I had made backups of them using ti, but apparently I haven't (who knows what I was thinking).
Anyhow I am hoping maybe there is someone here from New Zealand who can tell me where to get the official Telecom XT stock ICS for the Atrix 2 MB865. I assume I am right in thinking if I flash that and then unroot it will be just as when I bought it? If theres anything I am missing here please let me know.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
I have just been given this link elsewhere
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/edison/list.php
It appears to be GB though, does anyone know if I will have any issues if I flash this, given I have already done an official OTA upgrade to ICS
It seems like most advise against flashing back to GB. And no, there doesn't appear to be a TNZ version of the ICS firmware available.
I've always flashed this firmware 6.7.2_EDEM-18-MEARET (in firmware superthread) to get back to stock. Works fine on my Telecom Arix 2, just have to add the apn of whatever network you're on to get 3G working.
It will restore fully to factory settings, no root or anything.
