ICS ressurrection remix 1.5 rulez
ICS ressurrection remix 1.5 is the best I've tried yet.
however, /emmc is annoying for ext sd card. Do you know roms >= 4.0.4 which don't have this ?

stock rom, and experimenting with GLaDOS and netarchy kernel
I'm using Slim ICS 3.4 (based on 4.0.4) right now and it is great with all the customizing it allows, other than the short battery life. Fast Charge and LCD Density change is wonderful to have.
Before that, I was on NexusBeam 2.3.4 with GLaDOS 2.9 kernel and battery life seemed to be a lot better.. will probably go back to it shortly.
ICS CM9 4.0.4 v7. v19 CFS Matr1x Kernel. Battery life without doing anything: 30 hrs
Androdxide 2.0 and Kernel 3.1.10-ICUP.
cm9 v6 + airkernel 4.0! 1 day and 18 hours with some phone calls, texting, e-mails, wifi many hours, youtube, etc.
slim ics 3.1 + air kernel 4 is so far doing good for me in battery life and performance

Presumably you mean benchmark.
They're too inconsistant on Android, any number of things can cause big changes to benchmarks, and a higher benchmark figure doesn't necessarily mean a better user experience.
Most threads will have several posts after every major upgrade from people saying "I got x score in Quadrant".

cyberGR ? and whats best kernel for it ?
Bugless Beast Pixel Edition + Franco Kernel.
As a noob who has tried many combo, this is most stable and fast.
air kernel
I use Brainmaster's CM9 with Matrix 19.0
Its very stable, and pretty smooth.
I've used CyberGR v10, but i prefer Brainmaster's Rom over his. (had a lot of issues with his Rom)
Will try these. You can suggest more combos and links please. Thanks alot

it means that your phone cant handle the 1.44ghz cpu oc and 240mhz(20%) bus/gpu oc. not many phones can. every phone is different. some can oc high, some not so high, and some not at all. unfortunately, even though its the same phone, they can vary widely in performance.
aokp + matr1x
+1 derek.
AOKP build33 with Matr1x
AOKP B32 with air kernel. Runs quite nice. Although battery lasts only about 12h. On b31 with matr1x kernel I reached 15+h on my i9023 but it got unstable due to liveoc.
I like aokp a lot, but I am not sure about which is the best kernel. I think with the next milestone I will do a systematical test series.

Stock or Custom ??

Hi all, i have 2 Nexus S... 1 is with stock rom 4.1.1 and other one is with custom rom 4.2.1 ..... the one with stock rom is faster than the other... i m confused... should i flash my other nexus s with stock rom ??? is stock rom really faster than custom ? please anyone give me a link of stock 4.1.1 flashable rom ???

i have a custom 4.2.1 rom installed.
while its not notably faster than stock 4.1.1, it sure isnt slower. maybe you can improve it with another kernel?

I recommend (4.1.2 because 4.1.1 have some bugs):
- STOCK 4.1.2 - 100.1% Google experience
- kwbr Nexus S 1.0 :: Stock :: JB 4.1.2 :: JZO54K
4.2 ROMs are not the best for speed even with some "famous" kernel.. but I think that in the near future this situation will change.. a lot of users says the same when 4.1 was released...
sorry for very bad english..
is this flshable via CWM recovery ??

I'm very happy with the combination of the latest SlimBean and Marmite 7.3 (non-CM version, using it at 1096 Mhz, with the new row scheduler and smartassv2). You should definitely try this out before you go back to stock. I think it is a lot smoother than the stock rom, not to mention all the great features you get. It's also very stable, haven't had a single reboot, altough I use OC.
Plus what's the point having a nexus device and not running the latest software?
Custom ROM like jelly shot 2.8 with marmite kernel 7.3 over clocked to 1.3 GHz but I don't see the difference with a stock 1ghz

you can't just say custom and expect to get away with it
all custom roms aren't the same, some get good performance, some get bad performance, some get horrible performance and some get great performance. it all depends on the rom
jellyshot is the custom rom i m using

When you say "faster" what do you mean by that?
For me Jellyshot, Rasbeanjelly, and SmokeHolo ROMs are faster in UI, but slower when using 3rd party apps, specially games.; while on CM10.1, Baked BB7, Helly_Bean, and PA2.99, UI is a bit slower (stutters occasionally) but 3rd party apps are noticeably snappier.
faster in sense of playing games no lags

Antutu benchmark score

Hi guys just wanna share my Antutu score , here it is
Im running Leaked JB OS and CPU governor is Ondemand and Deadline
No tweak installed..
How about yours ?

Not the best score, but one of my best. 6500 is hard to reach on Kyrillos v5, but possible.
6452 - Gingerbread, Kyrillos V4, Ondemand/Deadline, no other optimizations beside Kyrillos ones
Can you post next scores with partial results?

Your read or write speed on SD card is unreal. You can't reach 131MB/s with micro-SD card.
Here is mine. No sd card score even if sd card is installed and work correcly.

Because it's a LEAK. Why do you think people install JB instead of GB because it's poor in performance? Nope project butter exists to make it faster and better in performance..if you want 7000 at benchmark wait for the official release of jb.

Good Score for JB leak, the score can increase if we have custom kernel with more Governor and IO option like HD kernel, because custom kernel can increase cpu performance and read/write sd card score... still waiting for kyrillos JB Rom and HD kernel JB... i hope tomorrow dream will come true for our phone ...

I cant give you my score from antutu because I dont have JB right now...That score from quadrant is real.Ace 2 can get on JB up to 3000 in quadrant on JB.That photo from quadrant is on: fast and lite v7b, d-kernel v2, performance/vr, 800mhz/800mhz, sd card 10 class (swap) , nova launcher , all setings in phone dev section is to get performace ,and this is all.
If you want to compare phones use RD 3D benchmark. On Ace 2 GB allways is 30fps average score and on Ace 2 JB allways more then 42fps average. That one is good benchmark.
