I take that back. I read the instructions thoroughly and found a lot of flaws. Take this off seriously, new users could be easily misled.

Thanks for this, though I'm afraid I won't be able to use it. I prefer video tutorials, because when I'm following a written procedure I often self-doubt and end up making a mistake anyway. I personally like Vio tutorials in youtube, their tutorials are very simple and easy to follow unlike other tutorials that seem to just be rattling out the procedure with no regard for the viewer. Plus, it doesn't hurt that they've posted several tutorials on various ROMs for Galaxy Fit.

No 11 is more like what could happen if stuff goes wrong...its not really a step, but more of a state your phone might go into if you do things wrong...
Kind of like "clearing the air", since people use the word "brick" too often...

I suggest u fitdroid 3.5.. Its very nice..
Just download the fitdroid rar file and patch file. In your pc. G then connect your phone to pc..go toclockwork mod
and then go to advance then mount sd card.. Then the phone will connect to the pc now copy both files in the sd card.. Then unmount
navigate to the file and just flash it via clockwork..
remember 1st u hav to flash fitdroid file then flaash patch..
This is how to root your Samsung Galaxy R running on ICS version 4.0.4
Step 1
Go over to http://androidsu.com/superuser/ and scroll down to ARM devices (2.0 – 4.1). Then you will see 3.2-RC2 under it is a link to the download, click it to start the download.
Step 2
Ounce you have downloaded it you want to put it onto the root of your SD card. You can do this by putting it onto your external SD card and copying it over to the root of your phone.
Step 3
Boot into CWMR. You can do this by shutting your phone down completely and ounce its shut off you hold down power and the volume Up button.
Step 4
After you boot into CWMR you want to install zip from SD card so hit the volume keys to move up and down and click install zip from SD card. Then you scroll down to where the Superuser zip file is and flash it.
Step 5
Finally, once you have flashed it you want to reboot your phone by going back to main menu and clicking reboot. Now your done!! Just wait for your phone to boot up and you have successfully rooted your phone!
How this is different from root recovery v4 posted earlier. Any difference between these two rooting methods ,please mention.

In order to go to CWMR, we need to press power.. and then press volume_Up and Home button simultaneously... and not Volume_Down..
I was following your instructions to the T.. and was not at all getting into CWMR mode.. as i thought for a second.. the hot keys combinations have changed..

Hi Framaroot v1.4.1 worked for my GT-S6312 with Android v4.1.2 as well.
I picked the option 'Gandalf' during install and it rooted the device after a reboot. The only thing I had to do was change the language from German to English (Phone was shipped from Germany). The device is now rooted and I still have all my apps and data. Easiest root I've used so far.
