I don't know how long they'll have 'em for so I suggest you head to your local Fry's asap if you're interested in picking one up. Maybe call in advanced to see if they're in stock.

I picked up two yesterday; one for my mom and one for me. I'll defiintely make a habit of keeping more music on my phone or even pictures. My 16 GB was so full that I had to take all of my pictures off of my card.

Not really, its the way computers read numbers. Binary, so to the phone 1024 MB = 1 GB. To us humans, 1000 MB = 1 GB.

I agree with the LG Star.
Seems the difference would be one would have to repartition before flashing, since they don't share the same structure. I wouldn't think the RIL file would be too complicated either.
I just hope they're making headway on creating good alternatives for the dodgy LG drivers on this phone, especially the Wifi.

I have a friend that works at my local sprint store so I can get 16gb class 4 for 20 bux

Although I've already "made my peace" with many of those here who had a gripe with me, I'd like to, once again, thank the people here who were actually helpful, were willing to accept my apology and, most importantly, the developers who are always hard at work trying to make the GS4G the best that it can be. The recent Gingerbread ROMs have really brought new life to this phone and addressed many of my initial complaints and disappointment.
That being said, (and much to the delight of several of you here who just can't seem to move past things, even after my apologies and attempts to reconcile) I still can't see myself keeping this phone. There's just not enough RAM, app storage space, etc. and, being a father of 8 month old twins, I need a decent camera ready at all times. I think we can all agree that the camera on this thing is about as weak as it gets these days.
So I ordered an HTC Sensation which should be here in a week. I guess I'll be bothering the guys over in those forums soon enough.

So I'll be switching from T-Mo to AT&T and I'm looking into the infuse 4G from the Samsung galaxy s 4g as one of the possibilities. I'm wondering is it worth it to keep my 16GB micro sd card (which has a lot of my music, pics, vids, docs, etc.) that's in my sgs4g along with the 16GB internal memory on the infuse, or would it be best if I just keep the 2GB that comes with the infuse and use the allotted 16GB that comes on the phone for all my music, pics, vids, docs, etc? Thanks in advance for your help in this.
The stuff already on the internal 16gb card in the infuse drops it down to like 13 gigs of useful space. And why not have both the internal and your 16 gig external? Seems like a no brainer to me.

Not sure about your money situations but to get the Infuse now is more like a sidegrade/downgrade. There are better phones like the sgs2 or the shyrocket HD which releases soon. I am up for a new phone & playing the waiting game for Q2 sgs3!

No. The Samsung Infuse is a nice phone and all but it's last year's phone. Why would you sign a two year contract for old tech that will not recieve an ICS update when you can get a SGSII or Skyrocket that will come with Gingerbread and eventually get ICS?

We're going to get Gingerbread soon. There's been no leaks in some time so the devs suspect they're on the final build. The phone came out May/June of 2011... less than a year ago. You're going to get Gingerbread within your two year contract.
I can guarantee Samsung will NEVER release ICS for the Infuse whereas the Galaxy S II and Skyrocket will within the current two year cycle.
This may be a dumb question but if for example had the chips from a phone with a gig of ram could you switch it with the ram on a g2x

If he's able to do the labor then he should just find out for himself by doing it. It's not meant to be exchanged or upgradable, but if he thinks he has compatible phone ram off another phone then he should try and be done with it.

That'd be sweet. But as far as labor, you need soldering wire and micro soldering tip with high power magnifier so you can see all the contact points. This process is known as microman, micro management. Kind of a pain. As far as hw goes, I'm sure there is a chip set somewhere you can use. Might have to rewrite code for it to function as max spec and to even allow the programs to run.
I have the a broken Motorola atrix and access to a iomega soldering tech I would like to thank those that helped ill try and let you know

Just returned my 16 for 32 the other day. Both phones did not experience any lag at all. Before and after the update. However, my display is much much better on the 32 gig. The colors look amazing where as my 16 gig seemed bland. Love the black finish on the 32 gig as well.

I know on my Galaxy S2 that there was a Gameloft fire sale last year and I downloaded a bunch of games near storage capacity. Phone lagged like crazy doing any tasks. Removed 2 gigs worth of games and everything was back to normal.
Since then I have never had a phone get close to capacity. This is actually has me most interested in the 32GB.

The hard part is that you can't do it through tapatalk. At least not that I've found. And every other thread in this forum needs to be reported for one reason or another; this forum is a mess.

I think all the 32 gigs are Korean made while most 16 gigs are from China. That may have something to do with it.

Seriously though.
My 32gb seems to lag a bit. Transition animations are jerky, and there's a half second lag when pressing the home button. That's after freezing all the bloat, disabling S Voice, and using Nova Launcher. Still like it though, just hoping some ROMs will make it smoother.
I'm glad I switched to 32 gb just for the fact it is made in Korea.
