Hello XDA,
I have recently encountered a problem in my day to day web browsing.
Unfortunately it appears that Android is refusing to properly show a Captcha image.
I'm unsure if it's a flash app, a normal image or JS, but I have both enabled properly.
The weirdest thing is that the image is being shown properly when using wifi. I reckon it's a problem with my settings, but I couldn't find anything wrong in my configuration.

Please remove the dots when copying the link. I had to do this because of spam protection.
If you could help me resolve my issue I would be most grateful.

IF you have an ad blocking software it might not show or if your 3g connection is too slow it will not load
got settings>applications>manage application>browser>clear data and cache.

Hi all,
I have a Desire S and am very happy with it. But recently I have GPS problems.
Since I have this device I never ever had any problem with the GPS. A fix within a few seconds. The GPS of the phone had a fix faster and more stable than my Garmin I use for geocaching.
I have installed c:geo and GPS Status from the beginning. And I did not add any 'strange' programs, no games.
But since a few weeks the phone it takes a long time to get a fix. Even in an open terrain, so no trees or buildings. And when it can determine it's location it is very unstable. The phone even has trouble to determine it's location by the mobile network.
I have Android 2.3.5 and HTC sence 3.0 and softwareversion 2.10.401.8
Can anyone help me with this one? It drives me crazy....

I can only advice you to install Faster Fix from the market. It changes the GPS configuration for faster fixing. It worked for me but there are also other GPS optimization tips all over the forum, though I can't give you a specific one.

I had GPS problems on my DS as well, googled a bit, and found out you can change the GPS config file.
First use FasterFix, and select your location to where ever you is closest to you, then google "ntp pool" enter the website and choose a region from the right hand side. Use Root Explorer to go to your /System/etc location. Open gpsconf, and type in the "server 0.europe.pool.ntp.org" text. It will change on where you are located. Mine was Europe thats why there is ".europe.pool"

Althought I still don't understand why my phone has these GPS problems. Just out of the blue...
I had major problems with GPS fix for several days, until I made a "compass calibration" through GPS status program. A reboot might do the same, but I'm not sure.

Hi all,
I did a hard reset of device and restored the factory defaults. As I did not change a lot on the device this was not a very big issue for me.
But after this the problems are gone. My device now has a fix within a few seconds.

Hi everyone,
Still new to flashing, ive just mastered the basics.
Luckily someone sent an excellent link to the Darky DARKCORE EE rom, which I followed the instructions and flashed to my suprise I did it correctly, and it worked.
The problem I now have is when using my internet my home page is google search, I changed the settings to Landscape only, auto fit pages, far view, and show images. It worked well untill I rebooted, now My internet freezes, cant even get to the settings as the pge does not load and I get the following error messege:
"APPLICATION INTERNET (PROCESS COM.ANDROID.BROWSER) HAS STOPPED WORKING UNEXPECTADLY PLEASE TRY AGAIN FORCR CLOSE"
Please can anyone help me? I would really appreciate it.
My system details are as follows:
firmware: 2.3.4
baseband: I9000XXJVQ
kernal version: 2.6.357-I9000XXJVQ-CL281085 [email protected]#DarkCore_2.9.2_JVQ
Just to let you know I had this problem yesterday when orange sent my replacement BEFORE I flashed whilst on their system, rang them up and they stated it was a faulty device they had sent me, thus sending me another one today. NB (UK call centre) no problem.
Recieved the 2nd one today, same thing, flashed same thing, rang Orange (India call centre, they were unhelpful, rude and laughed)

i have the mz601 3g version.
In the latest version of the nightly update, I have a problem when I surf the Internet. No matter which browser I use When I connect to Facebook( and sometimes other sites), the brower screen suddenly turns white and everything is written in disappearing.
Just a blank white screen.
If I refresh the screen myself, the site returns a few seconds but disappears again.
It looks as if the browser is trying to refresh itself but fails.
Anyone else having this problem? Any idea?

Did you wipe data when updating your soft to latest nightly? If you didn't than you should wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache in recovery.

i wiped all and tried also to delete all DATA and reinstall cleanly.
The problem is still there.
It also appears in other browsers such as BOAT and Dolphin.

Hello dear readers,
i just stumbled upon a problem with the app "Tasker".
I want to use a task that enables GPS when a specific app is started.
The problem that occurs is that Tasker doesn't even let me implent the option for GPS. If I tick the option to turn on gps I get a popup message that Google changed things like that GPS can not be changed by apps without user input. And if I want to use this option anyways I have to use another ROM, e.g. Cyanogen.
Then i get redirected to the options again.
I dont understand why I get this error message, because I AM using Cyanogenmod.
does anyone have a solution to this?

Hi, so I just upgraded my phone from hyperdrive RLS11 to RLS12 and everything has gone smoothly except for some reason the samsung keyboard has lost all of its longpress symbols. I'm not sure the proper term so I found a before screenshot on google and then took one on my phone as it is now.
First I tried wiping the cache, then reflashed, then wiped the cache, delvik cache, and fixed permissions. After I wiped the delvik cache and fixed permission the keyboard refuses to even load. So I tried reflashing again. I've done a factory reset, nothing seems to work. So I tried without the s4 keyboard and using old fashioned stock s3 keyboard. still doesn't work :'( I'm completely out of ideas. If anyone can be of any help I'd greatly appreciate it. I can't post in the hyperdrive thread because I haven't ever posted before because I normally find a solution by searching.
P.S. Sbreen94 if you see this thanks for an awesome ROM, I totally love it and it's the only one that has run smoothly on my S3, this minor issue aside. I'd donate if I wasn't a poor college student Also I have S Note installed and the md5 on my download checks out)
Two more issues I've noticed (sure wish I was cool enough to post on the thread where everyone else is reporting problems) MMS messages won't send if I'm connected to a wireless network. I have to shut off wifi for them to send.
The other much less annoying issue I've noticed is sometimes the clock in the status bar gets pushed behind the battery icon between in hours with 2 digits (10, 11, 12) and sometimes the AM/PM clips off screen Showing like a PN/AN If someone with 10+ posts could copy and paste this stuff to the original thread that would be grand. I've been keeping an eye out on the thread and haven't seen anyone else experiencing my problems Hyperdrive Thread

Rom is missing the MMS over wifi hack. MMS over wifi is not native.
Honestly I can easily handle the no mms over wifi, I don't send that many picture messages, but what has been driving me absolutely mad is having to press symbol everytime I want to use a comma or a dollar sign. It's frustrated me so much I went back to RLS11 and I'm just gonna flash the secmms.apk over so I can get rid of the long message bug. That was my only issue with RLS11. (Yes I know I could use ASOP but I don't want to )
