[Q] Editing a ROM - HTC Sensation

I have just come from virtuous rom to ordroid because i thought I would try a sense 4 rom but I hate the lock ring. I changed the htclockring.apk to one from the virtuous rom which is the htc.lockscreen.fushion and it changed the lock screen to ICS with the ics pattern unlock but on the virtuous rom you could then turn off the lock screen so when I pressed the power button to turn the screen on I was straight on to the pattern unlock. My two questions are:
1. Does anyone know the file I need to turn the ICS lockscreen off mod
2. What other files can I move to the rom to change stuff. I.e miui battery bar, battery percentage etc?

Most of the other stuff requires additional libs, which your ROM probably won't have. There is a good app on the market which IMO is better than MIUI Battery Bar. It's called ChargeBar.

[Q] (solved) Lockscreen issues

I installed MIUI on my Desire but didn't like the fact that there was no way of using Pattern Lock only - it was only standard lock OR standard lock + pattern lock.
So I came back to CM7, installing newest nightly after full wipe. The problem is, that now I have exactly the same issue with CM7 where I can either have pattern lock after regular lock, or just the regular sliding lock.
What is wrong and how to fix it?
SOLUTION:
I forgot there are two separate Lockscreen settings screen in CM7. It was enough to disable the main one in dedicated CM Settings.

Is any possobility to see screen with pattern request just after i turn on screen?

Is there any possibility to see screen with pattern request just after I turn on screen? Because now the first thing I have to do is to pull ring to the center of screen and only after that i can finally draw pattern.
Can I somehow skip the screen with the ring?
I'll be appreciate for any solution
Could you specify on what ROM are you?
Is the lockscreen stock or through 3rd party application - like GoLocker or widgetlocker?
I'm on CM9 and I go to System settings->LockScreen->Screen Security->Screen Lock->Pattern - draw pattern and that is it.
Of course I could
Now I'm on Android Revolution HD 6.6.7 and I don't use any of 3rd party app. I have stock lockscreen (Sense 3.6)
today I do not have access to Sense based device.
I will check tomorrow (will have access to 3 different Sense based devices), but I'm guessing that this could be Sense limitation, as on the lock screen you have dock with icons for quick access... could be, if have lock screen without them, then pattern would be brought up instantly...
BTW, you can check it by yourself right now
If I don't use lock screen shortcuts pattern request still don't brought instantly but thanks for trying to help
Look, here is similar thread- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1673508
seems that it is not possible on Sense ROMs

[Q] Changing ROM lockscreen behaviour

In CM7, when pattern lock screen is selected, the default slide lock is disabled. However, in MIUI GingerBread, it doesn't, which caused double lockscreen.
How can I edit (or replace) MIUI lock to behave like CM7?

[Q] Screen Freezing/Locking on Jellybeans build 11

I flashed Jellybeans build 11 a few days ago and have been having issues with the screen freezing/locking up 3-4 times a day. The LED continues to flash if I had a notification so I'm uncertain if it's just the GUI that's frozen or the whole system. A battery pull resolves it. I've also noticed that when I press the home button to turn the screen on, the screen is always oriented in landscape when it's frozen.
Has anyone encountered this with this particular build or ROM? Is it the ROM or kernel? Any suggestions to remediate? Besides this nagging issue, I've been happy with the speed and battery life of this ROM.
From the Beans OP under "Disclaimer":
"Aosp Lockscreen will force close when rotating if u dont turn all the options in the lockscreen menu off other than weather and clock! sence there not compatible with aosp lockscreen!"
Could this have anything to do with your problem?

Definitely! It must rotate sometimes before I lock it or it's turned a bit when I turn it on and causes it to do that. I did check the lock screen settings and did have shortcuts and ripple enabled. I've disabled this and will keep an eye on it. Thanks!
Great! Hope it works for you. I'm on this ROM and love it too
nooooooo
Yeah you have to disable all options except for time and weather, had this same problem

[Q] Jelly Thunder Toggles

I'm a noob and really appreciate Jelly Thunder. It has the lowest benchmark dropoff after load my apps of any stock ROM I've flashed.
Does it have an option to add text below toggles? I may be missing it, but if not, that would be a nice add on. Also, the lockscreen toggle brings up the security settings. Is it possible to have a toggle simply lock the phone as if one pressed the power button? I got use to that on another ROM and miss it.
