Surprising transparent lockscreen! - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Not sure what happened, but I got a transparent lockscreen right now.
I unrooted my phone to get OTA but it failed so I re-rooted it and did the fix permission thing in cwm.
And I got a transparent lockscreen.
Really don't know what happened. Why lockscreen?
I moved the lockscreen a little just to show I didn't set the screenshot of the launcher to wallpaper

Lol science experiment gone right!

I bad this happen once too. Never happened again though. Also had a couple times where my unlock screen was moved off back in the corner with most of it off screen. Reboots seem to fix it. But I couldn't tell you why it happened.

definitely SCIENCE!

This happens to me, too. Can't remember if it's fixing permission in cwm or through rom manager but it works.

Same with me on ICS. I select a lockscreen wallpaper, and it changes to transparent eventually after clearing cache or fixing permission. Been doing it since the leak and all the custom ROMs. I like seeing my live wallpaper through the lockscreen

samething happened to me
im on rooted stock gb with faux's kernel, i install rom manager and i wanted to run "fix permissions" but couldnt because didnt have busybox installed, so i installed it, ran fix permissions, and voila 100% transparent lockscreen, showing only clock, carrier and battery

Updated via OTA last night. Everything was working ok. Go to make a phone call just now, and here's my screen:

I have been using Android since Version 1.0 and the G1 and have NEVER seen the Notification Bar disappear before.
Also, the issue off the previous screen flashing on for a second instead of the lock screen when the phone comes out of sleep is still there.
Did LG/T-Mobile ever even test this OTA?
So it's a big deal?
That's what she said...
And speaking of the notification bar, I suppose it's trifle in this day and age of our smart phones to ***** but I would really like to have the "green" back on the notification bars.

Only Alarms should disappear. Are you sure Clock also disappeared? AOSP doesn't have a shortcut to Alarms, that's why I removed it!
Link for main theme is down.. like link for lg theme... please fix them!!!!!
reupload please?
hey man can you reupload it please?? thanks
Look nice
I want to try it but how can i revert to stock theme?
The clock and alarm have also disappeared for me.
Also when I slide my phone out, it crashes.
Any ideas?

Annoying font issue.

As you can see my font displays these darn rectangles. I tried font size and different fonts. It was fine untill I went crazy trying out a ton of fonts. Now I'm visually annoyed. Any tips?

wipe cache, re flash ROM, and wipe data if it still isn't fixed...
then get angry that you need to re customize everything

It means the font isn't complete and doesn't have all the characters.
Just flash a different, and hopefully complete, font.
Looks like you applied a theme? Also looks like you're running MIUI? If so look in the theme manager for "Default" to restore settings. If you aren't running a custom kernel and / or voltage curve just reflash the ROM. Only reason I wouldn't is because I'd loose my scipt, custom kernel settings... but that's just my setup.

That makes sense. I'm not running an miui rom but I did theme it. I'm on Hellfire pheonix with Trinity 1500 MHz kernal.

SMS not working... Did I uninstall something I shouldn't have?

I don't know when this really happened, but it was a few days ago.
[Btw, I have not installed the update, and am rooted.]
Whenever I am on wifi using data (which seems to work pretty well ironically), my SMS ability completely breaks. When I try to send, I get an Ashley that says something like "message not sent, will send as soon as service becomes available"
Again, this only happens on wifi....below is a SC of logcat. You can see the errors apart on the bottom half of the screen

Can anyone guess what happened? I don't think I deleted anything I wasn't supposed to...typically removing bloatware which others had already signed off on as safe.
I really do not want to factory reset or even flash my newly rooted nandroid backup from 3 weeks ago.... So any guesses are encouraged...

Make sure you have ipservice, ipprovider, and ims service installed as well as the stock messaging app.
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using xda premium
Yeah I double checked those things. They are there. And the result messaging app as well. But dammit this is something to do with the OS. I uninstalled GoSms, and had no luck with the default app.
When I reboot, it works fine for about 10 minutes, then crashes again... Don't know what it could be.
Maybe I need a better log viewer.
Sent from my HTC One-S (rooted), stock ROM
On that note... Does anyone have a log viewer they recommend? I think aLogcat was lacking... Now I am using Log Viewer (the one with the pig head icon). It's better by far, but I figured I would check to see what others used.
Any suggestions?

Shortcuts and Apps widget? (Missing Widgets)

Seems like we are missing a few features like car dock and shortcuts and clock widget that we all remember from sense 3.5 (Runnymade & Bliss) Tried porting the one from the viper rom on the sensation from but it wont work unless you flash the whole system/app folder which will lead to the rom booting but restarting over and over. Any ideas?
Questions go in q&a.
Not sure what you are taking about tough. I have car dock and everything you said was missing. I'm on stock not rooted
