Reflash it boss.

i tried man like 4 times =/ and even different ics roms..nothings working

similar problem, mine starts loading the rom then freezes.

Are you guys following the instructions? Pull the battery and reboot into CWM and wipe the cache, dalvik cache, factory reset

Are you wiping and clearing multiple x's

i wiped dalvik, battery, and did factory reset, i flashed the ics radio then flashed the rom but nothing

You have to wipe them at least 3 times. Pull the battery and wipe everything again multiple times

alright ill try it and let you know what happens

still nothing it gets to boot animation makes like a little click noise and reboots

You might have got a bad download. Redownload and check the md5 and make sure the download is good

You know what? This might be dumb reading some of the newer posts around here but are you using a newer recovery mod? Also use the darkside super wipe, I find it to work better than doing the wipes manually.

Try darkwipe, it was the way how I got ics to boot.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium

tried getting a fresh download, still no luck...ill try dark wipe tomorrow and let you guys know how it goes.
I don't think i have the latest cwm either but it worked for my phone i don't know what the deal is.

I use darkside wipe, clear cache and dalvik cache, then format /system /data and /cache.
I know its overkill but I find I pick up less ics bugs when I do it.

Have you tried the one click method?

The battery finally just died from all the reboots and I left it alone over night then it came on after I put it on the charger and rebooted but was still buggie so I used super dark wipe and flashed again and now it works great...I definitely recommend that wipe when flashing

Skyrocket stuck on startup after flashing rom

I just flashed the MXH Superlite rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1525638&page=43) as per the instructions onto my skyrocket i727. Wiped it, cleared dalvik cache and formatted the system. Installed the recommended modem followed by the rom, and the phone was stuck on the Samsung startup screen. I've recovered using a backup, but I really want to install this rom. Whats the problem here?
Try booting into cwm and re wipe and reinstall, try just the rom this time

Your best bet is review the MHX-SUPERLITE thread in the Development section... and ask there. This rom is on my "next to flash" list as well...
I flashed it on a friends sr no issues but it progressively got slower and crawled after first reboot it was odd.

You need to wipe everything a couple times before flashing on these phones and sometimes install 2-3 times too
Wipe data, cache partition, and delvik 3x's each and install twice or something
Non-bricked Skyrocket since 2-11-2012
I've never once installed multiple times multiple wipes yes but multiple installs????

Try Flashing a different Kernel
What I do every ROM flash and never an issue.
1. Flash Darkside
2. Flash Modem (if I'm changing)
3. Flash ROM
4. Reboot

[Q] Process system is not responding. Would you like to close it?

I got this while replying to a text message...
I've been getting quite alot of these, from even various applications. It's driving me nuts!!!!
Is there any (permanent) solution for this??
ROM: Gummy
Kernel version: 3.1.10_IcyGlitch_V14-BS_I896-I897 [email protected] #1
Baseband version: T959TLJL3
I'd be forever grateful if this problem could be solved... I really love this ROM
First I would reboot to recovery, then wipe cache, in advanced wipe dalvik cache, then fix permissions. If the problem comes back , I would back up your apps, msgs, that you want, then, wipe system, cache, wipe data/factory reset, and reflash. Maybe a newer rom.

This is a bug firmware, also sometimes a problem when using swap. I recommend flash newest ROM, they are much better.

I did the first thing you reommended, it didn't work and to make matters worse, ma phone doesn't pass the boot screen....
I quickly rebooted in recovery and made a nandroid backup - followed your second suggestion but i never made a backup of ma msgs because you didn't say so in the 1st suggestion... i can load new roms but can restore from ma nandroid backup
When you wipe dalvik cache, your phone can and will take several minutes to reboot, because it's rebuilding the dalvik cache. Secondly, wiping dalvik cache and fixing permissions wouldn't cause your phone to not boot. Between my wife's and my phone, I've flashed Roms, updated, experimented, fixed, stuff, etc... hundreds of times, and never has a dalvik cache wipe / fix permissions caused the phone to not boot. Hesitant to try to help, because you seem to be blaming me..... But if you can't restore a nandroid, it could be you're on a kernel in which the nandroid backup/restore feature doesn't work, you are running an earlier ICS build.

I'm sorry if i came across like that...
just that the phone is driving me nuts
ALSO.... it's the second time i am seeing where reboot take way longer than usual after restoring from a nandroid backup. I av done quite a few and reboot takes less than 10mins. I attempted one the other day and 2hrs 30mins later all i saw was the splash screen and boot animation, phone HOTT!!
This evening again, it looked as if it was going to do the same thing thing... it passed 20mins, i can't sit around waiting for that again
It sounds like a flash to stock KK4 (Full Reparation) would be your best bet. If you're already on G. B. bootloaders, I would recommend the NO BOOTLOADER version, no use flashing bootloader unnecessarily. After that, I would flash the rom of your choice, following the instructions in the O. P. line by line.
Maybe a lot more current rom.

Then I recommend re-flash the stock kk4 NO BOOTLOADER, format the internal sd, install the ROM again and install all the programs manually, not with the nandroid backup.

I had the same problem with 2.1 and 2.5 on my phone. For some reason, the flash does not work on my phone the first time. both times I had to pull the battery when I got stuck on the boot screen then boot into recovery, re-wipe, fix permissions and reinstall. It always worked for me on the second try.
Good luck.

This happened to me once. Try to re-root the phone again then flash it.
Did you do a dalvick cache wipe too? Also were you flashing a kernel with 2.5? Are you coming from stock or a custom rom too? And if you are coming from a custom rom does it use a custom kernel? You should also check the md5 of the rom and verify it didnt get corrupt on download/transfer.

Yes i wiped the dalvick, fixed permissions, formatted just about everything and factory reset, when that did not work I formatted and wiped everything before and after the flash. still no luck. I was not flashing a kernel, (to be honest im not even sure how to do that) and im coming from a stock rooted rom that i got when i first rooted with odin. I checked the md5 and everything matched up too.
How!?

How do you re root? would i have to use odin to flash the rooted rom again?
The process of how you flashed sounds right.
When you say it's stuck forever, how much time did you give the phone to reboot. Sometimes with a new rom, it may take 5 min or longer for reboot to finish. If you haven't already, just walk away for 5-10 min before checking it.

Clean rom wouldn't install for me on my phone... Weird stuff happened on the screen during boot animation and then would vibrate like crazy and go into boot loop... I came to realize that it was the kernel and I flashed lean kernel and it worked perfectly... I think these roms act differently on everyone's phones and sometimes there's no rhyme or reason to why things work for some people and not others... Just my. 02 cents

I seriously can't figure it out.

I've been tinkering with androids for well over a year now and have rooted unlocked and s-off'ed amongst other things many different devices. For some reason I'm having trouble flashing kernels to my s3. Yes I'm unlocked and yes I'm flashing aosp kernels to aosp roms and touchwiz kernels to touchwiz roms. The problem seems most persistent on aosp roms and yes I've also checked that they both had the same cm10 commits. The only kernel I could get to boot was clean kernel on beans custom. Other than that no other kernels will work. The device will boot then the screen will start glitching up and then eventually bootloop. I've also made sure to wipe dalvik and cache plus fix permissions. I've also tried just flashing the kernel after doing a full wipe and starting with a new rom and have root 66ed back to stock and re unlocked. Is there something I'm missing here? I'm getting frustrated as I love custom kernels. Oh and the latest combo I tried was liquid smooth rc3 and lean kernel 1.0. Thanks guys.

did you try wiping cach, davik cach, and fix permissions AFTER flashing then reboot?
Ofc wipe cach and dalvik cache before also.
My usual process goes something like this
*Wipe Cache
*Wipe Dalvik
*Flash Kernel
*Wipe Cache & Dalvik again
*Fix Permissions
Works like a charm every time.
Samsung Galaxy S3
i have had the same trouble once...fixed it by flashing back to a stock kernel first.
try this:
wipe cache & dalvik
flash stock kernel.zip- http://db.tt/ceeDTAfz
flash custom kernel
reboot
Is that the stock cm10 kernel or touchwiz? Also yes I've tried wiping before and after and fixing permissions. So weird and its driving me nuts. I miss having awesome battery life

Tried flashing the stock kernel still same thing. It's so weird. It will begin to boot and then boot animation will start flickering or flashing then glitch up. With every kernel it's the same result.

I've tried that a few times when doing a fresh rom install. I mean root66ing through odin should completely wipe everything. I just don't see what I'm missing. I've even tried using a different recovery and still the same. Could it just be something specific to my phone? I'm so freaking stumped!!

now when you odin back to stock, your booting into stock recovery after flashing the rom(root66) and doing a data wipe/factory reset correct? you said full wipe, but just want to be clear. it may be corrupted internal memory and might need to be reformatted.
I actually don't think I was wiping after I used Odin. I'll try that as soon as I get home. Though I have done plenty of factory data resets and system wipes, just not right after I odined. And you mentioned formatting how would I go about doing that?

follow section 6 of my guide...link in sig!
Always perform a full/mega wipe as:
1) Wipe data/factory reset
2) Wipe cache partition
3) Wipe dalvik cache
4) In mounts/storage section wipe /system
5) wipe /data
6) wipe /cache
7) wipe /preload
Then flash new ROM.
For flashing a kernel, please perform steps 2 and 3.

Clockwork Recovery gets stuck on wiping cache and CyanogenMod 10 gets stuck on boot

I have searched everywhere for about an hour now and can find no solutions or even discussions about my problems anywhere. I had problems with it not even trying to install CM 10 and I searched and found out I needed Clock work mod 6.0, now I can't wipe my cache. I tried installing CM 10 without wiping and it gets stuck on the spinning CM boot animation. Is it because I can't wipe my cache do I need to install super user first?
I would reaaaaaally appreciate help because I really want to get a custom rom on my phone but for some reason it just doesn't want to cooperate and do it easily like others seem to be able to do.
[SOLVED Alright so after I posted this I decided to try wiping and installing with TWRP instead, everything worked like a charm this time. I flashed and rebooted and got past boot animation and my phone is now set up.
What do you mean you can't wipe the cache?
Basic flashing instruction:
You wipe caches, data, and system then try to flash your ROM.

It gets stuck when it tries to wipe the cache and sits there, I have waited for 30+ minutes and it does nothing, I have to pull the battery.
And I know I need to do all that, I just wanted to see what would happen, it got stuck on boot animation again as I thought.
