[MOD] "More AOSP Looking" no AM/PM or Carrier Label Status Bars for different roms!
Started a new thread because this was buried inside a request and started to get a lot of pms.
These are SysemUI.apk (in cwm flashable zips) for various roms. Some of you expressed interest in a more "AOSP" looking status bar as seen here:

Changes made:
No Carrier Logo (AT&T)
Removed AM/PM (and made clock blue)
EVERYTHING else is the same (im not themeing)
note: I cannot make a universal zip because i wanted to preserve the mods made by the rom developers (theme, 15 toggle, icons, color, etc). So instead I will try to make them for the current main roms out there.
If you need another just make a request and ill try and get to it asap. It would save me time if you also included the SystemUI.apk so i dont have to download every single rom haha.

no idea what that means. but it works great.
Wasn't the status bar pull down scrollable left/right in ics? Or am I thinking of a different build? Or anyway to implement that feature on our ics roms ? Lol

Question
The screenshot shows WiFi Strength bars. Just curious, doe this maintain the $G LTE Icon, or just a plain 4G? Not necessarily a dealbreaker, but like to know before deciding to install. Also, to revert, just remove it? Nice work, BTW. Really responsive to community needs!

i appreciate it!
it will preserve whatever icons that were originally in your rom. it doesnt change any icons whatsoever. just the clock, clock color, and removes the carrier (although most roms do this already).
and yea to revert just push the original SystemUI.apk that came with your rom.

Rosie's
All rosie's are based on myn's remapped rosie and rosie settings app. Even the rosies that look like sense are stand alone and require no mods to htc resources. They should work on most sense roms such as SNS, Myn's 2.2, Mikfroyo 4.5 etc. i have a large collection of dock images and cant track down where i got them all, so if you developed the image i used in a dock, speak up and ill give credit. Though most of these are going to be my own creation.

Maybe delete dalvik-cache before and after flash. If not unzip the folder and either push locksceeen.apk with adb or use root explorer to paste it in system/app

The froyo lockscreen files are actually in the resource.apk not in the lockscreen.apk. its three files.
Lockscreen top,bottom, and arc...or something like that. Just look at the playground sticky, swipe the files from one of those mods , and push via ninja morph. I recommend koni's clear lockscreen.

I tried this one clear lock screen from Koni, but it totally screwed up my system somehow

When booting up into Myn's RS 5, it keeps going back and forth to the start up screen for "warm two point two". Will look like it's about to load up into the phone screen, then rolls back to the Myn's screen, keeps repeating this.
Thank God, I made a recent Nandroid backup this weekend. Wiped everything, and restored to my Saturday build.

Np and glad you like it. Btw I believe the TouchWiz launcher does not support transparency in the statusbar. If you want the semi-transparent statusbar in the homescreen you will need to use a different launcher.

Great theme. The only thing i miss is those network arrows because i am in low service areas all the time, but it's better on the battery i guess.

I wouldn't recommend this since it replaces all of the framework, not just the battery images. Unless you wanted to run a hybrid of both themes I guess.

Yup unfortunately that is the trade off for having the clock centered. There will be overlapping of the clock with icons if there are ever too many icons at once. It sucks but I think it's worth it lol. You could also go into Settings -> Display and check the box for "Move status bar clock" which moves the clock next to the date.

While the effect may be minimal (pun somewhat intended), the images/xmls/etc in the framework-res.apk of the circular battery extra are based on the original theme for tweakstock - while you may not notice differences, any edits made to framework-res.apk in the mnmltweak theme are overwritten when you flash that extra over the theme. That being said, if that's the way you want it then by all means, as I am pretty sure there will be no changes in functionality.

Just did this quickly. The notification bar and some app icons are themed. I haven't themed inside any apps yet. By the way I always accept theming help. Im still a newb at this lol. The mms apk isn't themed. Only the icon is themed. Bone stock must have a different mms theme than nexusmod, that's probably why. Because I used bonestocks mms.apk. You can change it back to the original by flashing nexus mods mms but the icon will revert back to stock..

Well I installed the new update and that didnt fix the settings fc so it was probably bonestock which was giving me problems. Either way I switched to NexusMod 2.0 and everything works fine and is themed for the most part. The dock icons on the aosp launcher isnt themed.
tl;dr switched to nexusmod 2.0, everything works fine.

I was on bonestock and changed my ringtone with the new update. I only themed one of the touchwiz launchers. (the one with the four icons on the bottom) Are you using that launcher?

Can't answer on the top of my head. If alien has an extended power menu it will most likely break. Ill have finished for bonestock tonight. Im not getting any force closes from it and I have to finish the status bar. Ill make one for alien too. I don't know about nexusmod because the author of the rom is releasing a new version soon anyways.

It works man, quick wiz doesn't have extended power menu.. but it works.. only thing is not all apps, are themed like gmail.. But its still pretty good

This was made for Synergy 1.7. It will work on 1.5, 1.6, 1.7 and any future release that does not require a wipe.
This *should* also work for any touchwiz based deodexed rom like bean's or others.
This will overwrite any custom themeing done to SystemUI.apk. If you want to keep your mods, post you systemUI.apk and what you want done.

oh yeah. forgot i centered the clock. will post a right hand clock version. the black status bar version should have the stock clock location
im gonna go ahead and try this right now Should it affect battery life, in a way that a live wallpaper would?

The images are in drawable xhdpi. Just open systemui with 7 zip, rename your images to match mine and replace them. Easy.

I was introduced to the vrtheme installer recently. And this got me thinking. Why would one want an entire theme when they can just pick pieces that they like and make their own. Hence the Birth of JBEITEL'S ULTIMATE UNIVERSAL THEMING THREAD
What I have done was taken several individual pieces of my theme and made them just that, a separate piece along with color variations. Want a green Battery? done. want an orange battery tomorrow? done
The best part is that they do not mess with any other part of your current theme so mix and match as you like. Like Blue? pick blue battery, data arrows and signal bars. Get where I am going here?
These are rom independent, meaning, they SHOULD work on most S3 rom. I have only tested them on Synergy and Beans. As long as the rom uses the same icon names, you are good to go. If you try other's, let me know if they work so I can add them to the list.
These do not work on CM10
MAKE A NANDROID FIRST! The wifi icons have arrows on the base of it. They have separate arrows in the systemui but for some reason it isnt using those and it is using the arrows from the data arrows so they appear larger than usual. The arrows will be the same color as the data arrows that you chose.
TWRP NOW WORKS WITH VRTHEMES AS OF TWRP V2.2.2.1.

v2 fixed teal wifi and resized wifi so the arrows don't overlap.

I flashed the red icons, and lost my status bar completely. I reflashed the darkhorse theme for synergy 1.7 and its still gone. I don't know what I did wrong? How do I get it back?

reflash the rom
I reflashed the Rom. Got the status bar back. I flashed the icons 1 at a time.... wifi, battery, and signal all worked with no problem ... flashed the red data and cwm came up with an error (bad), and status bar is gone again. Maybe someone else can duplicate this?

Not yet was gonna give it a go later tonight. Try it out and see what happens. Just make a nandroid back up first.
Works fine with beans ROM.... only problem is that purple data zip file won't flash... thinking that has something to do with the file???! Thanks for all the hard work...

I pm'd john so he is aware. All of the data zips are bad. I am sure he will have it fixed soon. He doesn't have an s3 so its taking him a little bit longer to test things.

I was installing these and had the same issue, glad to know you are on top of it. Another request: can he make the clock with the same color choices?
