And how could they be added to an ics ROM?
ARHD has a flashable zip, it's basically a line of code, but unfortunately HTC has made it hard as they have deleted some files for it to work properly. AOSP ROMs like OpenSensation CM9 have in in Settings>Display though
Just had a quick look on the arhd thread, but the CRT add on zip that was supposed to be in the second post has gone.
Apparently it's no longer on the arhd thread since it wasn't compatible with the ics ROM. So why hasn't anyone made it work on ics yet? How does it actually work and how could it be implemented?

I saw this the other day for 3.32 based ROM's, I haven't tried it yet though http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538485
Thanks, just tried it now. It made a right mess, the whole screen was corrupted, countless force closes, etc. But the animation looked nice when I turned the screen off! Safe to say it needs work, but it's a step in the right direction at least.

The Gratia is suppose to have similar specs to the Hero than the Wildfire does, so I assume it will be a easier port....
This is native resolution. Wildfire wasn't. So yes it's farther along.
dl-ing and testing this sucker out, I never tried the wildfire port, so this will be my first sense froyo dl.
Rare..... I installed, then it shows the BootScreen www.goapk.com... Then it reboots...
ran a nandroid...bout to wipe and flash..some of these terms sound so dirty
Stupid question...which is locale in settings? I can't remember which picture is which.
edit - camera is messed up for me
Good work Zen!
Ooo, I want to try this, but I don't want to go through backing up all my stuff right now. How long do you think it'll take before we get a fully-functional port?
Also, good work with the port so far.
Does MMS work? If so i'm jumping on board, I have been using AOSP roms for a while now, but when I recently had to RUU back to stock fix some stuff I started to miss sense lol
so far so good. thanks for this.
except camera, havent tried anything else.

HERE IS THE LEAKED CHINESE ROM FOR THE HTC SENSATION/PYRAMID .. if anyone is daring enough .. this leak also includes the new HTC Sense 3.0
So, if there are any takers in regards to trying to PORT the HTC Sense 3.0 over for our Inspires .. go for it.

^^ Live Wallpapers from HTC Sense 3.0 atleast the main one
that would be sweet, considering HTC will probably stick with sense 2.1 in the gingerbread update for desire HD/inspire. From what I saw, desire HD should easily handle the visuals though...
you might want to add [devs only] seeing as it is not ported, and will only fail or cause problems when flashed..

I keep getting Force Close with this live wallpaper.
FYI, a ROM has been released for the Desire HD here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1036446
As it is there's obviously some stuff broken, and in no way should it be a daily driver right yet. I'm downloading now to see what happens

Post your results please. Would this run on the inspire?
Im may start working on this this weekend if I get everything else done I want to. See if I can get something to boot.
Will probably need quite a bit of kernel/init work.
And do I remember reading you need a 64 bit OS to compile a 2.3 kernel? Could be imagining things but I thought I read that somewhere. Luckily though, if thats true I just set up a 64 bit Linux box

I tried it out, it ran just as it would on a DHD... the resolution on the Pyramid is higher than the DHD/Inspire, and it wasn't scaled down, so you can't really see the dock, and the first unlock was a bit weird since there were no icons on the lockscreen to drag down to the ring, and the ring was off the screen.
It worked on AT&T's network fine though. I'm sure once some more work gets done and it fits the screen better, this will be a nice ROM, but right now it's not quite there. But, it IS only the first build and in a very early stage. Keeping an eye on this!
Here's a video someone else made of it on the DHD so you can see what I mean by things not being scaled properly for our resolution - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7P5b-e5POY
I just got my inspire and rooted it last week. I think i might flash this, Do I need eng-off or just put it on my SD card and flash it?
thanks for the update

Hmmm. I wonder if this line in the build.prop is what is causing your display density issues???
line: ro.product.display_resolution = 4.3 inch QHD resolution
The density is set to the standard 240 DPI. That is most likely the culprit.
Just watched the video looks freaking amazing can't wait for the devs to get this thing working

I was able to flash it on mine but the resolution was off. But that is a bug in the rom itself, But I did get a successful boot
i read about this on the portal. about 60 - 70 percent of this is buggy and non working. need to wait til all the bugs are worked out and fully ported b4 using.

As we speak the devs should be getting the screen resolution right which will probley make it work for everyday normal usage once thats all worked out
the 60-70 percent being non-functional is a load of BS.....besides the resolution, the main thing that ISNT working is the camera/gallery. Nearly everything works. The dev's are very hard at work in the DHD section trying to fix the resolution, and once that is done, it will be a mostly stable rom.
I had it on my Inspire yesterday for a few hours, it was very fast and smooth for the most part. The LockScreen will be one of the most notable improvements to the Sense UI - IMO
I'm about to buy an Inpsire, and this makes my purchase seem so worth it lol. Can't wait until all the bugs are worked out!
Just flashed this. It booted but I couldn't get past the lock screen. Says something about dragging a ring but a can't see a ring or manage to unlock it in any way.

I have been running it for almost 16 hours now, and have been following all of the development threads on the DHD forums. I would say no, they don't know what they are talking about. Besides the HTC widgets and anything dealing with Rosie.apk, most everything else has the correct resolution.
And what i don't understand is why SOOO many people are flashing this rom without even reading a single page of the thread. It is an alpha. It has been asked thousands of times how to get past the lockscreen. On the first boot, you will have to call yourself to get it unlocked. Then you need to go to personalize-lock screen and choose a different lockscreen that has icons on the bottom. To open the lockscreen from there on, drag an icon to the bottom of the screen.
What i don't understand is why no dev's from the Inspire section are teaming up with capy on the DHD forums to help out and get it ported. They are really having a hard time finding the code to get it to scale correctly. We have a lot of talented people over here, and all the development is public on that thread...i wish i was smarter so i could help out
I have Nexus S i9020 and I have this bad problem..
It's started when I flashed AOSP ICS Brainmaster's Mix.. When I locked the phone, I had a strange yellow-green flash on the screen.. I tried flashing different kernels - no effect.. When I tried playing with Voodoo colors - no effect.. The only "semi-cure" was: if you return to "Stock gingerbread colors" that damn screenflash was seen only on the contour of clock and "that slide thing to unlock the screen" (don't know how to name it in english=))..
I thought that it was just the bug of the ROM then.. But when I flashed CM9 latest alpha everything remained the same.. I also thought that it was just a bug of the ROM..
But now I flashed ICS OTA after the downgrade to stock 2.3.6.. And the result is the same to switching to gingerbread colors in Voodoo app on AOSP old ICS ROMs.. I still have the screenflash on the contour on the lock and that "slidething"..
It's really annoying now as I'm starting to think that it is a hardware issue.. But all other functions work just perfect, not any single issue with the screen.. I haven't dropped my phone, haven't kicked it or something (bought it in June)
Can anybody help with this please?
P.S.: there were some similar threads here, but I haven't found the cure..
I tried playing with "Transition animation scale" and "Window animation scale" in Developer Options.. Setting window animation scale to 0.5x solves the problem.. But it turns off CRTscreen fadeout.. So there is something wrong with it on my phone.. I don't want to loose it, it's beautiful..
Any advice please?
I understand that I can only annoy with this question.. But still I don't know what to do! Please suggest any possible ideas, every piece of wisdom could help!
Now I've rooted official ICS, installed Nexus Beam 4.1.0 and flashed Glados 2.1 kernel.. And the green & yellow screenflash once again all over the screen when I lock the phone..
In every other possible way the screen behaves itself perfectly.. But when it turns off I see that damn flash..
Mine does it too
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Mine does it only when i wake the phone and put it back to sleep without unlocking it
Mine has the exact same problem. It doesn't happen in gingerbread but on ics roms, even stock, it does a flash. On stock its lighter and harder to see, but if I change voodoo settings it turns green. I doubt its hardware considering it works fine on gingerbread.

So we have not only one complaint.. Something must be done to cure it.. It's really annoying as it is the only thing that works not fine on this phone!
Can somebody of the developers please comment on this problem?
Has someone found an answer to this?

I've seen this discussed somewhere already, but can't recall where!? But to my knowledge, if I can remember correctly it can be corrected by resetting voodoo control settings back to 2.3.3 defaults! Something to do with gamma settings I think! But obviously you have to be rooted to have & use voodoo control!!
I've tried a couple of those settings, but it never totaly get rid of the problem, it's just less visible. But since I know it's there, i'll always be seeing it XD

For now it has a couple of bugs (eg some apps force close at random times), but it's still a useable ROM.
I can only talk from my experiences, but for me it's been really good.
You should flash it and try it out for yourself. If you don't think it's as good as the other ARHD ROM's you can always go back to them.

I've flashed it and i see one thing: Where is the music player?? i don't see it (
Virtuous inquisition (ICS) also has a nice rotation animation and is fairly stable. (I used it for a few days with mostly minor issues) The only major problem I had was the stock music player lagged so much it was unusable, but I use Cloudskipper for music anyway. All the ICS roms still need a bit more time to become daily drivers for most users, but ARHD 4.1.X (GB) has an addon for a fairly good animation if you need a more stable rom.
Of course none of the rotation animations are as good as the moto droids (although moto did almost everything else wrong)

hehhe i'm not alone in hoping we'll get a better animation soon. So far all my attempts to bring anything from moto's horribly designed blur roms to sense has only resulted in infinite boot loops
The only issue I see with the rotations is that some apps rotate if you turn the phone one way and not the other. In general ARHD 5.0.2 is very stable
