Database Info

[Q] OSX usb mass storage crapped out after Kies

After installing Kies for Mac, I decided it was crap and uninstalled it. Ever since I haven't been able to successfully use USB mass storage on my Skyrocket. Before installing Kies I could access both SD card and internal storage without issue. Now the drives appear but basically just hang cause the USB mass storage app on the phone closes and acts like I never turned it on. (goes back to green from orange).
Does anyone know what was broken by Kies and how to fix it? This is so frustrating.

Thinking about selling my Blaze

Hey,
Just wondering if anyone would be interested in buying my Blaze and how much. I am planning to switch to ATT and get the S3 so selling it to cover the cancellation fee would be nice. I don't need the money and wont take low ball offers. I sold my old Defy on Ebay in April for 150 which was a steal on my end so I can easily post it on there as well and get a good price for it. 300 takes it. Stock and never rooted or dropped, always had Incipio feather case as well..time for me to switch to a better service and much better phone.

Smaller screen, different camera, some driver changes but nothing major which is why I'm like 4/5 done with a port

I read the thread and can see that there were some unwarranted digs at the you, some of which which sensitive people could possibly be angry or hurt about but honestly I've seen a lot worse both here and on other forums.
I didn't see anything nasty there just childish digs at your grammar, that kind of thing, but not really anything to warrant a thread highlighting it and saying xda is bad.
Also, to be fair, there were people in that thread defending you not just criticising you.
You seem to let every word get to you, this is the internet and it has trillions of words. If you post in forums then inevitably you'll have some directed at you that you might not like so you have to see them as just words, not as some plan to make you feel bad.

I mean this in a polite way but you do realise that the mods don't live online and so the ones you contacted may be asleep or at work etcetera and not see your posts until tomorrow?
Go calm down, let the mods decide what to do about things when they see your posts but seriously, this is just a forum and you have a life outside it just as we all do so why not go enjoy it and de stress?

I think you mis typed there as I haven't asked for your posts to be removed. The only posts I've made are public ones, so it is easy to see I haven't asked that.
And I can't see why you think you might be banned, as far as I can see all you've done is get upset at being picked on which I'm sure isn't a reason to be banned.

Test Version Of GSIII?

Hey everyone, I recently traded my Galaxy Nexus for the GS3 and normally, I get right down to the rooting/unlocking/flashing process, however one thing has been holding me back. The gentleman that I traded my device with worked directly for Samsung and said that the GSIII that he was giving to me, was in fact a development testing device only given out to employees. I was wondering if there is a way to verify this as I know that this could be a potential gateway to future discoveries if this is in fact the case. If any of you have thoughts on this then please share. I've been itching to scratch this flashing bug of mine -_-

If this person's claims are true, you should go to the IRC and chat with the devs there.
They could possibly find useful information before you get to using your device as normal- again, assuming this is true.

Go with Straight Talk. AT&T prepaid is a ripoff compared to that.
I've been using straight talk on android phones for a while now.

Well the phone is locked. And the sg2 skyrocket is not unlockable via AT&T. And we already tried straight talk. And where we are there is never any service for straight talk but go phone works great

I'll give that a shot. The reason I turned to XDA for help on this one is because usually people are help full. And the phone is not mine. Its my mothers. Who is nowhere near. I'm deployed at the moment. So it isn't exactly easy to do much.

Its cool, I've just never used any phone with go phone. At&t reps told me that a 4g phone is not supported with the go phone network yet. I've googled many times and found many mixed answers that don't really help. Some saying leave MMS proxy blank, some saying you have to use a username and password some saying otherwise. I was hoping someone who has actually used a 4g phone on the go phone network could give me some insight.
