Try custom nandroid backup. as i recall i have problems when making a full nandroid backup. choose only which you want to backup like system, boot, cust... etc..

I've already tryed that... and It crash even when I just backup the system and the boot...

have you change your openrecovery the one that Mioze7Ae modded? you can find it in the development section.

I'll try it. Thanks for the help.

Didn't worked. I've read that the bad no-name micro sd card included with the phone may be the problem. I'm having lagg issue when taking pictures too. Maybe this is because i'm using CronosX rom?

I believe all custom Roms have some lagging issues on camera, but not that bad. Anyway, try replacing your sd card (class 10 recommended).

Okay i'll look for one

I got a brand new class 4 sdcard. The difference is really noticeable and the phone did not block on me since i've brought this card.
Thanks everyone for the help.

Read buddy plz dont go around just asking questions. At the level your at 99% of what you have to ask is already answered.
Sorry if u didnt get my questions right.
It´s maybe because of my english.
I know how to flash a rom.
the only problem is, that this rom needs to be on the sd-card.
But i dont have access to my sd-card.
So i gotta find a way to get access to my card anyhow. I maybe need an adapter for my pc to copy a rom on the sd-card.
But thx, for your quick reply.
germanHD
Does Windows pick up your phone as a device?
You may be able to get to the SD card from there - or failing that maybe you can reinstall the RUU file?
Hi,
no it dont get it as device. But i just called a friend, he will bring his phone and we try it this way.
thx

I finally brought it back to work.
I managed to copy a ROM on my sd-card with another phone.
Thx

You could also remove your memory card, put it in an adapter and attach it direct to your PC then put the rom on the SD card that way. The in recovery you should be able to install from the SD card...this assumes of course that recovery can see the SD card. If not, bigger problems lol

HELP! Phone won't boot (solved)

I was going to quickly change my rom as the one I was on went all messed up and so I went to clockworkmod, and me being an idiot, I formatted everything. And I mean everything, I had wiped my whole phone and sd card, and as a result if I tried to boot my Phone it just stayed on the White screen with htc in the green letters. I then tried downloading a rom on my computer, transferring it to a sd card, and putting that in my phone. I choose the zip and it says finding package.... Opening package..... Installing package..... Then it says installation aborted... So I am stuck with a phone that has no nandroid backups and no data, what do I do? Please help

if you have a custom recovery installed you should be able to install a ROM without any problem. Maybe you should try a different ROM?
Okay I will try that

Alright, so I rooted my phone the other day and then got it backed up using titanium backup. I put the backup on my laptop also to be safe. Well, something happened. I am not that familiar with Roms and everything. Well, I got the Darky's Rom 9.5 and then put it on my phones sd card. I started the phone up in the cmw (i think thats what its called) and then deleted the cache and data and stuff like that then I selected the install zip from sd card. Well, I did that and then my phone started to reboot. It kept getting to the Galaxy S 4G and then goes black for a second then re appears. Well, I cant seem to do anything. I can put it in download mode and I can go back to the cmw mode and everything. Well, I have the titanium backup so I just want to restart my whole phone and then re-root it again and then re install all my apps using the titanium backup. I am pretty nooby at all this stuff on phones. Please help me. I can still put stuff on my phones sd card and then I can go to install zip from sd card. If there is a way, please let me go back to the "out-of-the-box" settings. I think I need the default ROM for this. Anyways, thank you. I really need this to work. I hope I didnt break my phone! ='(
Also, this is my first thread thing like ever in my life, so yeah, dont get angry at me if I did something wrong
I would really appreciate it if someone could walk me through how to fix it. I will be on here waiting for replies, so we can have a conversation if you do not mind. Please help me, I cannot lose this phone.

You are safe... you say that you can get the phone into download mode, right?
I can get it into download mode. That is why I am not freaking out as bad right now lol But yeah, what do i do? I need to download stuff and use kies and stuff again right? Thank you so much for replying too! I am so happy right now! lol But yeah, I can do pretty much everything except start the phone and get past the samsung galaxy s screen.
I could not do that nandroid backing (that was with the rom manager right?). Whenever i opened rom mananger and tried to back up the files, it never actually backed them up. It kept going to the one cwm and said error. So, I just did the titanium one and made sure to have it on my computer and my phone. Thanks for replying too! it means a lot
I would advise you to follow this thread if you have the GB bootloaders...
or this thread if you don't...
Once you have GB, you'll be able to re-flash with other GB ROMs...

Alright, I am not sure if I have the GB bootloaders. I am currently downloading the fully back to stock thing and am going to follow the directions. I have all my apks and data from before it broke, will I be able to put my titanium backup folder into my sd card and then backup the data? Or should my backup still be on my sd card. Yeah anyways, is it safe to do that? will all the files be one it correctly? Im just worried. But anyways, thank you so much. I was trying to read other forums but I couldn't figure it out. And I learned something, do not try to flash things when you do not know what you are doing lol.
I read somewhere that rom manager does not work for my phone; is that true? Do I even need Rom manager to flash my phone? sorry for all the questions, it is just so hard to find all these online haha Thank you very much again

Before getting into this tight spot... what had you done to your phone (re: modding)?
It sounds like nothing... which means it was a stock. Don't be confused by the judicious use of the word "stock" in these forums (I speak from experience here)...
Many of the "stock" ROMs which you will see are actually modified-stock ROMS. Some even say SMS-... indicating "Subtly-modified-stock"...
If your phone has the original ROM, then it is not GB. In that case, you'll need to use the second link... if you have a Windows machine. If your machine is not Windows, then that link will not help you because it uses ODIN which is a Windows-only tool.

No, if you look at the Wiki (link in my signature), you will find that there are 3 ways (excluding ROM Mangler) to flash ROMs to your phone.

Do not apologize... The difficulty of finding things is exactly the problem which the Wiki (and these forums) seek to solve.

Thank you so much! I am actually working on my phone and everything now! Ok, I noticed that it is no longer rooted. And yeah, thats about everything =] Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. I love the quick response and everything. Thank you very much.
And one more thing, I am not sure if you have this phone, but what is your favorite (or The best) ROM for this phone? I want to flash it this time properly and with a good ROM. Thank you again

If you have to use the 2nd thread (the GB Ext4 Starter Pack), you will be formatting your SDCARD. So, no, the backup will not be on your card. We need to get those onto your computer somehow (if you haven't already backed up SDCARD onto your computer).
I used the first one. So I still have everything. I think it will all work out perfect=] Thank you

As for ROMs, my advice to you is to install the Valhalla-Final. My advice is based on the fact that this is the only final GB ROM that I am aware of. I have recently installed this and I have nothing bad to say about it.
On the other hand, if you like bleeding edge, then keep your eye on Valhalla Black Edition. I played with it over the weekend and, although still a work in progress, I have high expectations of it.
Not to be narrow-minded, I have heard good things about the one which you were originally setting out to install... I may look at it myself!

[Q] Tablet stuck at Android screen

Hey guys, I am sorry if I posted this in the wrong thread but I urgently need help from you guys!
So now I am having a china tablet, it is Ployer MOMO5 (if you guys know) and after using for awhile, it has stop working and I decided to upgrade its firmware.
I used Micro SD and I dowloaded the firmware from Ployer website.
After upgrading, everything went smoothly but it stucks at the 'android' word screen, and it is forever!!!
Anyone here can guide me regarding this?
I need this urgently thanks!

Any idea why it stopped working before you upgraded the firmware?
Not sure, maybe i did not use it for too long already.
Then when I on it initially, it showed all the RAM ROM and numbers (Not sure what it is called)

Then I decided to upgrade it by downloading the latest firmware, insert it into my micro SD and insert it into my china tablet to upgrade.
Everything worked fine.
But now I cant on it.
How did you install the firmware?Using a custom recovery or the pre-installed recovery of the tablet? And do you happen to have a backup of the working OS?

Yes, they are big, but probably can not backup such as the cache systems date. then the backup will be small.

Make a backup without system, Dalvik cache, data, cache. Maybe he will not be big, and you can upload it. I have no one else to ask.
Where did you get the recovery image? And is it compatible with our device? I think it must be compiled for our device for it work.

I would advise you not to flash ALL PARTITIONS of one device on to another. This is due to the fact that it includes EFS partition which is unique in a way that it contains your IMEI # and other details which are unique to every device. This can brick your phone permenantly. A flash without ESF partition can be great.
Good luck !
Usually BT, WiFi, Radio trouble occurs it you have messed up with your motherboard hardware values. Try going back to the ROM you were before on and make sure you haven't flashed any wrong radio for your device. ( like your radio was meant for India and you flashed China or any other firmware. )
Do quote back in case you expect an answer!
after installing a full backup does not run the sim card. If you load Fail ESF from its own backup, the SIM card is starting to work, but the WiFi did not work. From this it follows that mi4i imei stored somewhere else and booting phone compares it imei. The question is, where are still kept IIMEI files?

I have a similar problem to you : after a hardbrick, my IMEI files are uknown. How did you manage to install the backup given by sharan.nyn ?
BTW, when you backup the EFS with Mi4i toolkit, two files are shown : /dev/block/mmcblk0p20 and mmcblk0p21. I don't know what to do with that, but I'm pretty sure they have IMEI in them.
i am facing similar issue but my sim is not detecting on first slot but it is detecting on second slot
even my imei is showing correctly should is go for replacement coz i bought it few days back
