Stuck at m logo - Milestone XT720 General

I have a big problem. My milestone xt720 has been stuck to m logo only. I tried different sbf's using rsdlite, I can only go to bootloader mode 80.89 but still the same. Before this happend I am using xt720mod.sbf with shenqi rom and I load movies and watch suddenly my phone rebooted and always stuck at shenqi bootanimation. I even try going to openrecovery but it stops at the mobile logo with indicator at the boron and I tried also booting to stock recovery and wipe and restore everything but it stills stop at boot animation. So I decided to reflash the sbf. Now I came up stuck at m logo.

What sbf did you flash
Sent from my XT720 using xda premium

Often when switching between sbfs that change the phones partitioning, the first boot doesn't work and I have to do a factory reset in stock recovery.
However, if have xt720mod.sbf don't forget you can reenter OpenRecovery via apply update.zip in stock recovery! (unless you deleted the files on your sdcard, but in that case just take out the sdcard and fix it on a PC)
I'm not sure which sbf you flashed. If you reflashed xt720mod.sbf remember it always gets stuck at (M) after a fresh flash--the ROM in xt720mod.sbf doesn't work --so every time you flash xt7210mod.sbf you must then go to stock recovery and apply update.zip to get into openrecovery and then install a working ROM.

I tried cincinati bell 2.1, korean 39r / 50r, central europe, singapore starhub which is the original. But after rsdlite finished the flashing process and rebooted the phone, it just stops at M or starhub logo. Nothing happens. I can't even go to stock recovery. Only i can switch to boatloader.

It sounds like you're doing all the right stuff to me.
I wonder if your camera and gallery buttons may be not working? Have you tried flashing the same sbf a few times in a row? That's what I'd try first. That might cause something like a factory reset. Also make sure your battery is fully charged. On the other hand, being able to switch between starhub and motorola logos demonstrates that RSD is actually doing something. I guess I'd maybe suspect weak button contact in either the camera or gallery key and I'd maybe try repeatedly to get into stock recovery by pulling the battery while holding the camera and gallery keys different ways...

I think the phone stops responding when stuck at M logo. This is what my phone experience..
-when the phone is off. When i plug it to charger i got no response from the phone that it is charging even i plugged it for 1hr. Totally no indicator. Btw i use universal charger to charge the battery.
-we know that if we flash the original phone sbf it should boot normally, which is the starhub sbf is my original. In my case after rsdlite flashing it reboots the phone and it just stay on the starhub logo until my battery drains out. The screen should flicker once indicating that the phone is booting and should load the bootanimation just like before. But it just stops at the logo.
I tried what you have said but still it stops in there. I tried flashing sbf's many times with full battery charge.
If only i can go to fastboot mode and try to scan if there are bad blocks on the nand.

[Q] D2G wont boot into recovery, even after SBF, help!

ok so heres what happened:
I have a d2g and flashed fission 2.4.3. everything was fine, but i was having an issue where the phone went into recovery if i plugged it to a wall charger and unplugged it fast. so i decided to flash sbf and return it to stock to begin the root/flash process all over again.
after successfully flashing sbf im stuck at the droid/red eye boot animation, i read that i was supposed to then go into recovery and clear/wipe data/cache, only problem is my phone wont go into recovery mode, it only shows the picture of the little android and an exclamation point inside a triangle, can anyone help me?
when you get into the screen with the little android guy, the exclamation point and the triangle, push the button on the keyboard with the magnifying glass, then you can wipe your cache/data
when you get to the android guy and the triangle hit the magnifying glass key on your physical keyboard...then factory reset
thank you guys sooo much! I just wiped data and cache and it fully booted! now i just need to call *228 to activate.
How would I boot into stock recovery on D2G? Power+Vol- Power+Vol+ ? Neither do anything...
(EDIT)
"Power+X" Will boot into stock recovery
Recovery Disappeared
After SBF; my D2G won't let me to recovery ~ stuck at the M LOGO
I tried everything including X+Power but it's as if Recovery is fried , it's lost..
Is it possible that the Keyboard is burned? Is there any other way ; any other key or button combination to boot into recovery? Maybe ADB Shell SU from off power?
So far only Software Upgrade mode works; VolumeUp+VolumeDown+Power
Please help..
P.S. Why do they call RSD Lite? Is there a non-lite full version which may let me boot into recovery using the computer and USB cable?
Thank you in advance//

Your phone went into CWM if you plugged charger and unplugged it fast? Try delete system/bin/hijack and system/bin/ logwrapper, then rename logwrapper.bin to logwrapper?

[Q] Phone having issues booting after flashing rom

So I rooted my phone and flashed Krylon360's Stock + Root rom using this thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1001759 ). Everything went perfectly until I rebooted from recovery mode. It sits there in the boot screen trying its hardest but just keeps randomly vibrating. Not sure what to do about this since It will not go back into download mode to retry again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Go back into download mode and try flashing kc1 instead

Nothing ended up working. Just kept sitting in the boot screen, vibrating some more. So I just flashed the original stock back onto it. Thanks for your help though.

Put your phone in download mode and flash the SMS-KJ6 one-click from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1358498
(yea, I need to update the kernel in that package... everything moves so fast)
Leave the one-click open, after the phone reboots from the first flash take the battery out (let it reboot all the way to the pink t-mobile screen, then pull the battery. It does boot into recovery and tries to do some csc update, just ignore any errors in that). put the battery back in and the battery case back on, hold vol+ and vol-, plug in the usb cable and let go of vol+ and vol- when you see the download mode screen come up.
Check the flash bootloaders and click flash again. This gets your phone on GB bootloaders, which if you're coming from froyo, you will need it (you can also get the same bootloaders from FBis251's ext4 starter kit).
After that is done, you should download octane 3 cwm zip and my latest kernel to your sdcard, reboot to recovery, wipe everything, flash octane 3 then my kernel. Let it sit for 30 minutes after rebooting to let everything juice up and soak in.
Also, never odin/heimdall flash on a low battery. Always charge your phone all the way up before doing this as not to brick because your battery died.

[Q] Infuse bricked, no luck with GTG's unbrick

Hello guys, I recently received my refurb phone back from Bestbuy. I flashed MIUI on to it and about 2 days later I'm caught in this boot loop. After reading several threads, I called and got the battery replaced. That did not resolve my issue. I used GTG's unbrick method with KEIS downloaded. ODIN "passed" it and I got rebooted into 3e recovery (not sure where my clockworkmod recovery went, unless that went with the reset). I selected reboot now, and I'm still stuck in the boot loop with samsung popping up. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Try this... all credit and thanks to qkster, one of the most helpful people on the infuse forums. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1524081
I would run Odin again

I've now tried Heimdall, it allowed the phone to turn on. When I turned the phone off it got caught back in the boot loop again. So I retried while checking "flash bootloaders". All seemed to be well, it turned off and the battery charge indicator came on. I turned it back on and checked a few things out, I didn't download or change anything. Shut it back down and it's caught back in the boot loop again.
I've retried Odin 3 times too.
What the heck do I do now?!

after using the one click did you do a factory reset/wipe with in 3e recovery...or if you using one click, and put cwm on just do a data/factory wipe to clean all...
what i would do...because something is not cleaning...
do the one click reboot
and do the one click to get cwm....
then go into CWM
When in CWM:
1. Wipe data/factory reset.
2. Wipe Cache.
3. Go to Advance: wipe dalvik cache.
4 Go back and into Mount and Storage: format system, format data, format cache.
5. Go back and one click again to put gb back on with nothing left over...if you want to stay stock...of if you want to add custom rom
put cwm again to go to a custom rom...
may seem time consuming but sometimes it take a few strokes to clean up...
believe me i have had to do this before...
and let us know...kk
Ok guys, thanks for all of the replies.
I've tried and tried this Heimdall now 4 times, twice clicking flash bootloaders. I've gone into 3e recovery and wiped everything.
It will start and get to the setup wizard (for first time use). I click through it and I get to the main screen. I locked the screen and went to unlock it and after I "swiped" it shut down and went back into the boot loop. I retried the Heimdall again, samething happened with the setup wizard, got to the main screen, unplugged the USB cable and it shut down and back into the boot loop.
Any other ideas? I'd love to use this thing...I just got it back and haven''t been able to use it because of this.
Something similar happened to me like a week ago ..i did not know what to do so i odin back to stock about 7 times before i could reach de home screen, the first 3 times i had bootloops,3 other time i went to initial setup but as soon as i was finishing it ..bootloops,the last time i tried i was able to go into the homescreen but it had some apk left over from previous flash..so i use sgs kernel flasher to flash infusion and get back my red recovery ,then i flashed qster total wipe and flashed emencipation.....im so scared now ..i dont think i will flash anything for a while...anyway hopefully you will find the perfect combination to save your infuse good luck

How do I use SGS kernal flasher if I can't get it to turn on? From what I read it requires root and superuser?
So I retired Odin again with no luck. Retried Heimdall by selecting Flash Bootloaders, loaded to main screen, it went back into the boot loop after I locked the phone.
update #3, got into 3e recovery and it rebooted itself from there too.
If you flashed miui you must be rooted ...and yes to use shs kernel flasher you must be in the homescreen ..can you acces cwm? If so flash qster total wipe

When you reflash to stock, it does not take out the root unless you erase the proper files yourself. The only thing you lose is the modded 3e recovery and CWM recovery.

Hi, Have you tried Manual reset to clear the data/factory this sorted my install of Cm7 the other day when it boot looped.
To Manually Reset
If there are significant problems with your device or you are not able to follow the steps above please use the following process to manually reset the phone:
Turn off phone
Press Power key + Camera Key + GalleryKey to power on the phone and bring up the recovery screen
When the Triangle/Exclamation point screen appears, press Volume Up + Gallery Key down and tap the camera key to show the recovery menu.
When the recovery window appears, use the volume up/down keys to navigate the menu and the camera key to enter your selection.
Select Wipe data/factory reset
Select Reboot Phone
i cant get to stock recovery my volume up is broken>>> any fix for this using computer?
If you have adb set up you can try "adb reboot recovery"

How are you getting to the bootloader to flash sbf with broken volume up? As far as I know bootloader is volume-up + camera while powering on. Maybe it's only partially broken?

hey guys i found something http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1210343 can i use easyadb to boot from bootloader to openrecovery coz im not so familiar android sdk.
i run adb or terminal but my phone is not recognised i already installed usb drivers for xt720. any steps to boot my phone in recovery using pc?
Which sbf are you using?
I think it's possible to create a synthetic sbf that wipes /data and /cache, must many of them should already do that. There's always a risk that the reboot is caused by something else father than lack of wipe. IIRC this usually happen after boot animation.
Anyway, I'm wondering if you're trying to flash the modsbf--that will never boot after sbf.
i used us brightpoint and all other sbf but still it keeps rebooting after m logo.wont go through bootanimation.i havent tried to flash modsbf. mioze wer can i get the synthetic sbf that wipes all? if ever it exist can u link me the sbf?

The brightpoint is already a full flash that should wipe /data and /cache (it contains empty /data and /cache). Some of the Korean ones are service flashes that don't wipe data which is why I asked. (Don't bother with modsbf--you must have working stock recovery for that to work) The idea would be to use sbf-depacker to create a sbf that only has data.img and cache.img taken from eg the brightpoint, but I don't think that will help here since brightpoint doesn't work... I assume you've tried flashing and booting with the sdcard and sim removed?

Ultimate Brick ;/

Well it seems I may have fully bricked my Optimus 3D. I installed the offical isc kdz the other day and it was malfunctioning since i didnt wipe before the flash. I was going to flash a recovery via fastboot and I seemed to have flashed some type of boot for the su760.(Accidently) Then i flashed a recovery. After that the device would only show the lg logo for a second then shut off. So today I flashed bernis files in attempt of maybe fixing it. Now my phone doesn't boot AT ALL. Just a black screen. I can only enter fastboot. Any ideas before I toss it?:crying:

I thought I had done the same, flash back to stock gingerbread using xball unbrick method, then flash bin/fls of new ICS, then root and install recovery with the all in one tool.
