I just downloaded ROM ToolBox and change my LCD Density to 200 LCD Density but I noticed now my email apk won't "resize" to the 200 Density and it just stays at 240. Is there something that I'm missing ? I've searched around on the forum and google and didn't find anything that would help.
I've tried clearing the email cache , data and rebooting. no luck. Any suggestion ?
[MOD: Sorry right after I posted I saw another thread on Rom Toolbox that I could have probably posted my question there. Please delete if necessary I'll ask my question there]

Searched through the forum, but didn't find a yes/no type answer. So is it possible or not to change DPI on a smartphone (WM6 Standard)? Say from 131 to 96. The icons would probably be all messed up, but still.
Sorry if this is a really dumb one

Try downloading an app named LCD density.
change the no.s
the higher it is the larger the font.
Hope it helps.
Install spare parts (xda isn't letting me post links to other sites because I'm new so search it up in the market)
It's an app that let you change some hidden settings and one of those settings is font size.
I'm pretty sure it's only for rooted devices (I assume yours is rooted) but it may work for others.
Hope this helps
EDIT: I'm not sure if this app is in the market and there is a fake in the market so try sideloading it from somewhere else
Guys, I am a novice here and keep reading the posts on XDA frequently but posting a query first time.
I have installed pimp my ROM on my Galaxy R and changed the screen density which made me to utilize the real estate on my screen efficiently. The standard UI never helped me so opted for GO launcher and its working like a charm now inspite of a few delays.
The problem I am facing now is with the stock Email app now. Its not utilizing the new screen size and is cramped in a portion of it.
Can someone here help me to find out a way out or a tweak to make use of it. I know there are third party applications available which may help me but I really want to stick to the default app.
I have attached the screenshot which will help to understand the problem.
Thanks a lot!
I don't think it has layouts for another size and DPI, so this cannot be easily fixed.
Yes, But When you use PimpMyRom then you can save a zip file for reverting back as Update.zip.
BTW, as we always say, do have backup first while applying such changes in mobile.
Like a thread, I changed the resolution(from 1080*1920 to 720*1280) via Terminal command and DPI (from 480 to 267) via Build.prop.
After rebooting and clearing cache, picture quality is dropped. All-screen is fine. It's not over-sized or under-sized.
Except for thumbnail of app switcher [IDK that what is truly call?] [Please see in photo attached] Each app is Over-sized.
I try to adjust Framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk to fix this prob [modding and recompiling] but no, I can not solve it. May you guys please help me to figure it out.
Thanks for helping me.
The first image is showing that app switcher is over-sized. And next image is showing my normal screen(after changing reso and DPI).
Ps. I know my Grammar is so sucks, Sorry about that cuz this language is not my primary lang.
Or you guy please give me the raw in xml to change values. IDK that my random changing in xml is true or fault. Thanks
Anyone know ?
Hey, all I know is that I did the same thing and I have the same problem. I have nothing, but I’ll stay tuned here if you figure anything out.
Hey guys ... Hope you're fine
I have been confused about the unharmonised looking of the whole 4.2.2 RedRom operating system
Well Internet Browser keeps closing every when's launched and the menu of all applications was not organized
I set the density to 180 dpi through build prop editors
So is there any suggestion or not
If not then I find out that official Roms aren't resizable
Tnx for advice
I never had these problems.
Are you sure you factory reset BEFORE installing the rom?
